Beautiful spot overlooking Lake Weir in The Ocala National Forest.
Watch the otters play and count the many different birds that make this lake their home. Treat yourself sunsets every night as the sun disappears into the water and enjoy the awesome reflection of the moon as it sets on the lake.
(Check the moonrise/moonset tables to see if there is a visible moon during your intended stay - it really is an incredible sight).
We have an amazing outdoor shower, with hot and cold running water, overlooking the lake.
The extra large soaking bathtub is available for your use for $20 per stay if there are not other campers at the time due to us only having one bathroom available. Great for relaxing, bathing kids, or a very romantic evening.
Canoe, stand up paddle board and kayak available for your use at no charge.
You can paddle to nearby Gator Joe's which is an awesome spot on the lake for great food, drinks, and live music.
Electric and water hookup (garden hose) both sites.
RV 30 amp electric hookup, as well as regular 15 amp electric hookup on hilltop site.
Many trees on the property makes it tricky for large vehicles to maneuver, therefor we have a limit of 25 feet including tow vehicle.
Dockside site has 15 amp hookup. We do have an adapter to connect to 30 amp hookup. It is closer to the house and bathroom than site 2 and has more shade and easy access to the dock.
Pontoon boat rentals are available down the road.
Being on the lake we do have mosquitos but they are mostly an issue at dusk and dawn for about an hour but we are out in nature so insect encounters of all kinds are to be expected.
If there is a nice breeze, which is often the case, you can enjoy the sunset from the rocker loveseat at the edge of our dock.
We also have citronella torches available for rent.
We also offer a large bundle of firewood for $10.
Campers MUST check in by 10 pm. We recommend arriving during daylight whenever possible.
It is important you understand that our property is not in the wilderness. We are NOT a commercial campground.
We have a couple of acres in a residential area and there are homes near the campsite. That being said, you will have complete privacy at your campsites as the two sites are on opposite ends of the property and you will not see me at all other than when you check in, unless you desire to do so.
Both campsites face the lake however, and you may see some fisherman out there from time to time, but I guarantee you will see much more wildlife than people.
Each site has its own fire pit.
Our guests love this place because of the lake, the incredible sunsets and moonsets over the lake, and all the incredible wildlife we have here, as you can see from the reviews.
Well behaved pets are welcome off leash as long as they are supervised and don't bother other campers. They are not allowed on the porches. Please pick up any mess that is in the path of foot traffic. There is a $20 pet fee per pet per stay. Add it under extras. Pet sitting is available for an additional charge.

We are 20 minutes from world famous Silver Springs, 20 minutes from Ocala Drive-In Movie Theater that usually shows great films for both kids and adults, and 20 minutes from the Santos Trailhead that offers world class biking and hiking paths.
Unfortunately, I cannot do anything about the people that come here that have not read the description, expecting a wilderness campground and choose to leave a negative review based on that but everyone that has read the description has loved it here and many return.

Wonderful stay! We wish we could have stayed longer. We enjoyed the fire pit. Plenty of space for a private campsite. Outdoor shower and bathroom is a plus and clean. It was a little chilly for the pool but everything felt like home. Steve and Rachel are great host. We will definitely be back when we are in the area. Close to everything in NSB.

Very nice place to stay. Pool and tiki bar for guests to enjoy. Poolside bathroom and outdoor shower. The camping area was spacious and private. I felt safe and I was comfortable leaving our little camper when we went for daily excursions! Steve and Rachel were very friendly and accommodating. Lots to do in the area!

Absolute gem of a property. We had a wonderful stay and decided to tent camp, which turned out to be a great experience. Jason and Julian were excellent hosts and clearly take great care of the property. All amenities were clean, well-maintained, and readily available throughout the day.
Jason personally gave us a tour upon arrival, provided access codes, showed us where to camp, and even supplied power, which was greatly appreciated.
The property truly feels like a mini resort — private beach access, kayaks, a pool, and you can even see the Disney fireworks at night.
The other guests on the property were friendly and respectful as well. Overall, a fantastic experience with zero issues. I would highly recommend staying here.

The site was exactly what we were looking for. A nice level spot that felt private and open space for our dog to run. The hosts were kind and helpful. Access to the bathroom and pool area is an amazing bonus when you’re camping. Wood was available for a fire. We will definitely be back if we are in the area again.

My time at Lakefront Downtown Orlando was phenomenal! The hosts Julian and Jason were extremely friendly, and the space they provide is excellent. The house was perfectly clean, and had a nice kitchen to prepare some meals and chat a bit, a chilling living room to rest, a complete mosquito-proof swimming pool... And the designated camping/RV area was quite wide, plus the lake view (or even activities!) looked great.
Besides all that, and very important for me, the place is within walking distance to Camping World Stadium (where the festival I was attending was held): a very cheap ride, or a ~30 min walk. You also have a Walmart across the road, very convenient.
But above all, the ambient there was in the house with other RVs' and rooms' guests was super chill and friendly --in part I'm sure because of the great vibe of our festival, but also due to what Julian, Jason, and the house transmitted!

We enjoyed our two nights at Marci's site. The site closer to the dock has a fire pit in a more secluded corner of the yard and with the tent placed and our truck parked next to it we couldn't even see the house. After welcoming us and guiding us in we didn't have any need to contact Marci and we had a peaceful stay. I think we would definitely stay again as the proximity to Santos trailhead was not too far. Only concern was that there are some lower branches along the narrow driveway that did brush our truck so anything larger might have difficulty unless they're trimmed.

Steve and his wife are such lovely people! Their property was great to camp at. The location is about 10 minutes from the beach. The campsite has a little fire place and picnic table to use. The bathroom was great and the access to the pool and tiki bar in their yard was great. Such a great stay. Thank you Steve and Rachel!!!

My husband and I stayed here for our first RV trip and we loved it. Just one night while we drive up north. The place is super clean with beautiful plant gardens around each RV spot. The staff also welcomed us in the most friendly and professional way. We brought our two dogs and let them explore the dog park area too. We would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend the place to anyone else needing a nice place to stay for a night or many nights! :)

Steve's place was great. I arrived later than expected and all I wanted was to sit next to a fire and relax before bed. Because of this, I missed out on a lot of the great amenities that this location had to offer and someone else will have to check them out. The tiki bar and pool looked great and would be fantastic, especially in the warmer months. There is a really nice outdoor shower and the half bathroom was very much appreciated. The firewood provided was really well dried and burned without a hitch and the firepit was the perfect size. I saw two deer run right through my camp in the night so that was pretty cool. Great location down a pretty drive with just a short section of dirt road at the end so it shouldn't be hard for anyone to find or access. Definitely check it out if you're in the area.
