We are several minutes off Interstate 95 if traveling North or South and need a rest.
If you’re looking to stay a few days there is plenty to do and see in the area. We are approximately 12 miles to Port Canaveral (Cruise Ships, restaurants, beaches). Close to Kennedy Space Center. Close the Cocoa Village where there are plenty of restaurants and bars as well as some neat shops. Plenty of areas to swim and fish are near by as well. Jetty Park, Cocoa Beach also about 30 minutes away. If your lucky enough to see a launch from the driveway, its a real treat. Or you can drive over to the edge of the Banana and Indian Rivers and park along the road.
PLEASE NOTE: We live on a one way street with no turn around, so its best to pull down the street and turn wide into the driveway and open the gate (If we have not opened it for you). Pull all the way to the end of the driveway (or up to our Montana) and back to the west where the site is located. This will put the utility side of your RV right up with the pedestal. This will put your camp side facing the house. Then when you leave just swing out the driveway and east down the street (Ideal for motorhomes and small to medium trailers)

But please know the camp sites are far from music stage, pavilion, and festival area, and the music is usually ONLY during the afternoons and over by 4pm, so the evenings are quiet.

We would stay again. No frills but reasonably quite ( a couple trains and a dog in the distance) nice grass a couple of shady spots but most are full sun. Our “site” (there is nothing to delineate a spot it’s just a big backyard) backed up to a cow pasture which made for a decent view and a distinct but not overpowering cow smell.

We enjoyed camping here! It was a quiet neighborhood and the camp spot was private. Though water is available, we had issues with our water system in our truck bed camper and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor shower. Super close to see a rocket launch, which is why we visited! Drew was great and helped us park, got us all hooked up, and answered any questions and gave us local tips. We missed the tortoises this visit but hope to see them the next time we stay!

We stayed at Wildfern Campground this past weekend (Friday–Sunday), and it was honestly such a nice camping experience.
The scenery was stunning—especially at night. The way the moonlight shines through the trees is something you have to see in person. The foliage all around the property was gorgeous, and the pond was such a nice touch—it really added to the calm, relaxing vibe.
Our dogs had the best time running around and exploring, which made it even more enjoyable for us. You can tell the hosts take great care of the land—it’s well-kept and just overall a really special.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful getaway.

This was the most beautiful example of "old Florida" that I've ever encountered. There were so many beautiful old Oaks everywhere and so much tree- covered forest to explore. We walked to and fro and barely scared the surface. There was an abundance of wildlife- turkeys, pigs, possum, raccoons, deer, and alligators. There were no toilets or showers though, but a gym was some miles away.

We love tent camping at Camp Fern, our 3rd time:) beautiful place, friendly chickens, big oak trees, big enough for privacy, close to so many things yet very peaceful and secluded. Bathroom, electricity, and water on site are very helpful. Ragan is an amazing host, always very helpful and accommodating. I definitely recommend it. We will be back!

Camp Mack is a beautiful Old Florida fish camp! Our site was amongst the live oaks, quiet an peaceful. Staff and facilities were wonderful. It was relaxing to site along the water and watch fishermen and airboats coming and going. The camp store has everything you need, restrooms and showers are well maintained, and everyone is friendly! We did not use the pool, but it was very nice with a clubhouse and restrooms and showers. The Freshwater Tavern is within walking distance with food and beverages, was nice, and there is a food truck on the premises. We would definitely stay again!

This is a nice quiet place to stay for our trip to Kennedy Space Center. Scott was very helpful and was available if we needed anything and his property is very well kept. It is a quick ride to all the fun stuff yet far enough away to be enjoyable. Hookups were easy to access and the space was perfect for sitting out in the evenings after a busy day. We will be back to stay again since we ran out of time to see all we wanted too!
