Down a hidden gravel drive with wetlands on either side you will find a completely fenced in field surrounded by pine, oak, and swamp maple trees. There are two ponds located on the property both stocked with bass, bluegill, and sunfish. The front pond is home to many natural Florida wildlife and is a great location to bird watch. Located a few miles from Brooksville and the Suncoast Parkway, this quiet and peaceful setting is just 5 minutes from the parking area and trailhead for the Suncoast Trail and 10 miles from the famous Weeki Wachee Springs, where you can spend the day at the local park or float down the river with the manatees. Withlacoochee State Park and other natural preserves with trail access and kayaking are only a short distance away, and Dames Cave, Homosassa Springs, and Chasawiska Springs are all within a ~20-minute drive as well. The property is definitely different then most. The site itself is super spacious, and has great tree coverage from some ancient oaks. the site can hold up to an extra 5 tents if neened. There is solar power to the tee pee with a 750w solar inverter connected to two deep cycle batteries. Now to get to the site you have to go through the main busy part of the property (we literally have planes, trains and automobiles and more). But once you get to the site you feel the nature. Also right next to the property about 100 yd from where the property starts there is an entrance to a boat ramp (which has a 2 mi canal that goes to lake Apopka where you can launch a canoe or kayak, or do some fishing), also a 2.6 mi nature trail, and about 100 yd as well there is a 25 mile trail that you can bike, walk or horseback ride. That trail is a part of the Apopka wildlife drive which also starts not far from the property. It's a free nature drive on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays plus holidays. We are around 15 to 20 minutes from a few different springs such as wekiva springs, wekiva Island, Rock springs and Kings landing. We are about 45 minutes from SeaWorld, aquatica, volcano Bay, universal studios and more.

Second time staying here. I had plans to stay at another state campsite, but three gate code was not working. Luckily, on a moment notice, Smokey Acres was available. The campsite was clean, quiet, beautiful. Bathroom facilities were decent. Site was level. Slight noise from traffic. No complaints. Its an easy weekend get away. My wife was able to set up her telescope for some night photography and I got plenty of reading time. I'm pretty sure a 3rd stay will happen in the next few months.

What an amazing place Rob and Mike created to share with those looking for great camping! Spent New Years at Lucky U Ranch, and it was fantastic! The sites are huge and far apart. Facilities are very well kept. Got some unexpected guests when the horses and mules decided to say hi. You will not find any better hosts, very attentive… met me at the gate and took me to the site, shared about the site and hiking trails on property as well as checked in daily and provided more firewood when I ran out. Happy to have found another place to add to my “visit again” list!

We had such a great time!! This camping spot is perfect! We were surrounded by beautiful scenery! The owner was incredibly responsive and helpful! The location is walking distance to a beautiful hiking path and fishing spot. We also did the free Nature drive, which is close by, and I highly recommend it! Weekend Trip to North Shore Relic Ranch

My family and I had a great time tent camping at the Relic Ranch. The hosts were very nice and attentive to our needs. Our kids had a blast feeding the farm animals and there’s also a hiking trail near by walking distance from the camp site. We’ll definitely be back!

52 ft fifth wheel

24 nights at Lovely Acres Of East Orlando

Stayed there for the holidays in our 35' fifth wheel so we could visit some friends. Plenty of room for us. Nice quiet area. Friendly and accommodating host.
