Frank Page purchased the Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground in 2008 which included the original seven acres of the lower portion of the Rendezvous. At that time there were only a few buildings and the primitive campground area. Frank started cleaning the area and stabilizing all the buildings. In 2009 another 20 acres was purchased, which is now considered the upper area of the Rendezvous. In 2010, another seven acres were added to the property. We are a 15-acre homestead focused on sustainability hosting 'leave no trace camping.' We request respectful eco-friendly guests and have restrictions against using accelerants to start fires. All wood ash and charcoal is used in our biochar making process to help transform the soil for our agroforestry project. We are in a prime location for campers interested in springs adventures, with many springs within 20-35 mins and many more within 60 minutes' drive, and only 35 to Gainesville. We host dog boarding with Rover app, which means your pet is welcome when booked on the app at a special discounted rate to Hip Campers. Need to leave but can't take your pet? We can give walks and meals as well as crate or kennel them until your return to camp. Please read the RULES carefully. Our gate is lighted with 24/7 camera surveillance watching the street, gate, and our house/shed. We only rent to one group at a time with a preference to small groups. We are busy with culinary and sustainable side projects for the community. This is a working agricultural site and not the place for small children to be wandering around discovering the world. Respect for the ecology is paramount as you may be camping next to restoration projects where we endeavor to encourage edible flora to grow. *We also have a ban on alcohol. Alcohol consumption is not permitted. You will be made to leave if you exhibit irrational or irresponsible behavior. The property has many faces through the season and has abundant wildlife. Please be prepared to deal with anything from deer outside your tent, to mosquitos, ticks and mites. Mosquito netting, natural bug repellent, anti-itch cream, boots and appropriate clothing are advised. You can go clothing-free and barefoot around without causing a stir, but that is at your own discretion. We are in rattlesnake country, so please mind your footing. The gardens are not tropical year-round. The camps may be more tropical in summer but also have more bugs. We swim, dive and paddle year-round on our waterways. The views were great and it was nice to be within walking distance of the bathhouse (very nice and clean) but still far enough away from the cabins and other campers to really feel the seclusion. We liked it so much we stayed on our way to South Florida and then stayed here again on our way back home!

We had a great stay at campsite 1. Very private and close to the river. Lots to do at Bowman's Landing without leaving the campground. The kids loved playing in the water and having bikes to ride around. So much great wildlife and natural beauty. Everyone was very friendly and made us feel right at home. We'd love to come back and stay longer!

Weekend Trip to Riverfront Santa Fe / Ichetucknee

Had a great 2 days staying in our rv at Jerry’s spot with 5 kids (4 being teenagers). Loved having the dock area to fish from, launch our paddle boards. Was nice to be able to tie up our boards and leave them on the water inside the dock slip area. Plenty of space for everyone to roam. The wash sink is a nice bonus I didn’t realize I needed in my life of camping lol. Best part we saw a momma and baby manatee swim by as we were hanging on the dock.

Nice piece of property right on the river. The deck down to the water was falling apart, but the boat ramp right next to the property was easy to get to and peaceful. The site itself was nice - A little bit of trash around the property from previous campers, but all in all it was well maintained with a large fire pit.

We had a wonderful time at Camp 4A! The property is beautiful — peaceful, private, and surrounded by wildlife. We saw so many deer and wild turkey throughout the neighborhood! Mike was an excellent host, very responsive and helpful before and during our stay. Our only downside was that the dock was broken during our visit and the riverbank was mostly slick limestone, which made it tough to get in and out for swimming. However, there’s a gorgeous park less than a ten-minute walk away where you can access the river easily for a dip! Firewood available onsite for a reasonable price was also a bonus!
