This is a private/ quiet site, away from the hustle and bustle. Take some time to enjoy the salt air along with picturesque sunsets. Launch a kayak or paddleboard. Keaton Beach is 1 mile away and Adams beach is about 4 miles north. Walter "B's" store on Beach Rd. has a small restaurant inside. Bike riding from the trail head at Keaton Beach boat ramp is a good way to get in some exercise and enjoy the natural Florida. Steinhatchee is 19 miles south of your location. Beach bums store is .5 miles from our site. Scallop Tyme RV Campground was once an abandoned camp covered in worthless Sand Pines. There was a cabin and sheds in the center surrounded by chain link fence topped with barbwire. The timber was donated and used to fuel nearby electric plants. Once the four acres was cleared and cleaned, the idea of a RV campground started.
During the early onset of Covid, my family remained in our adjacent camp because there was no Covid in the area and plenty of Covid at home. Cleaning and clearing the acreage gave us something to do. While cleaning the old, abandoned camp site inside the chain link fence; we found an old boat and motor, a Kawasaki motorcycle, and numerous civil war and Vietnam war memorabilia. The campground was opened in June 2020.

Keaton Beach county boat ramp is 2 miles away. This area is known for great scalloping in the summer, red fish and trout year around. There are several guides in the area for your fishing or snorkeling pleasure. Amenities include fish cleaning table, BBQ grill, fire ring, and picnic table at each site. Ginnie Springs offers world class underwater cave diving -PADI license required. Set on over 60 acres along the Suwannee River, this historic property (formerly known as Suwannee River Cove) is under new ownership and being thoughtfully restored and reimagined as Oaken River. Frank Page purchased the Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground in 2008 which included the original seven acres of the lower portion of the Rendezvous. At that time there were only a few buildings and the primitive campground area. Frank started cleaning the area and stabilizing all the buildings. In 2009 another 20 acres was purchased, which is now considered the upper area of the Rendezvous. In 2010, another seven acres were added to the property. Frank planned and constructed the Upper Rendezvous area which was completed in 2012 and added 136 RV sites as well as the dog park, barn and pigeon coop. The dog park has five sections, for both small and large dogs, with ample room to run.

Frank began raising pigeons in 2012. The first pigeons purchased were homing pigeons, which started the Pigeon Races that are still a fun, family favorite event on Saturday afternoons. Frank also bought and started raising other pigeons, the Birmingham Roller. Birmingham Rollers are a very popular breed of domesticated pigeons that originated in Birmingham, England, where they were developed via selective breeding for their ability to do rapid backward somersaults while flying. You can often see them flying around the Upper Rendezvous in the mornings and afternoons. These pigeons are used for our weekly Pigeon Races.

Tubers – Tube the private section of the crystal-clear Ichetucknee river accessible only by the homeowners via our 3 waterfront parks. Both get-out parks are within walking distance to the campsite for your convenience.
Paddlers – Paddle the Santa Fe or Ichetucknee rivers from within the neighborhood, or if the time of year is right, venture up to the Ichetucknee State Park to paddle the head waters and north entrance. This is limited in season and numbers to keep the impact on the river to a minimum.
Swimmers – Swim the Santa Fe or Ichetucknee rivers from within the neighborhood via our 9 waterfront parks (6 Santa Fe, 3 Ichetucknee) or venture to either entrance of the Ichetucknee River State Park just a few miles away.
Nature lovers – Explore the unspoiled conservation areas within the neighborhood that can be hiked and explored. Setup a hammock and sit by the river and watch all your worries wash away, you may get to see the occasional manatee.

Frank Page purchased the Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort & Campground in 2008 which included the original seven acres of the lower portion of the Rendezvous. At that time there were only a few buildings and the primitive campground area. Frank started cleaning the area and stabilizing all the buildings. In 2009 another 20 acres was purchased, which is now considered the upper area of the Rendezvous. In 2010, another seven acres were added to the property. Frank planned and constructed the Upper Rendezvous area which was completed in 2012 and added 136 RV sites as well as the dog park, barn and pigeon coop. The dog park has five sections, for both small and large dogs, with ample room to run.

Frank began raising pigeons in 2012. The first pigeons purchased were homing pigeons, which started the Pigeon Races that are still a fun, family favorite event on Saturday afternoons. Frank also bought and started raising other pigeons, the Birmingham Roller. Birmingham Rollers are a very popular breed of domesticated pigeons that originated in Birmingham, England, where they were developed via selective breeding for their ability to do rapid backward somersaults while flying. You can often see them flying around the Upper Rendezvous in the mornings and afternoons. These pigeons are used for our weekly Pigeon Races.

We really enjoyed the stay. The location is very secluded and we saw few people. The deck was nice and relaxing with great views.
There is a store at the end of the road with a food truck. Other than that, you will need to drive the 20 mins to Steinhatchee, so bring everything you need

Jerry's place was heaven on earth! Beautiful property as shown in pics, overlarge concrete pad, (a plus!) with cover, so much running room for our 4 large dogs. We hung out on the boat dock, swam with the dogs in the crystal clear river and generally took a much needed step back from city life. Grilled dinner over the fire pit, and it actually got cool enough to stay by the fire. 😎 No traffic to be heard except a couple of ATVs and an occasional boat on the river! Oh, and the birds!!! So many bird songs to hear and enjoy. We are already planning to come back and bring the grandkids and we can't wait!

Richard’s farm was beautiful and well kept. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Richard was a fantastic host. He invited me to join him and the volunteer Woofer’s for a bonfire. I had a brilliant evening full of laughter, sharing and hearing many incredible stories about Richard’s life. We had a wonderful stay at Bowman’s landing campsite 1! We came to visit nearby springs and it was a convenient location. My husband kept saying that the place felt magical. It felt quiet, remote, and woodsy. We loved walking over to the dock at sunset and in the morning. The hosts were friendly and helpful and gave us a tour upon arrival. The primitive site is a semi-far walk from the bathhouse (at least in the dark), so the hosts offer bikes to use if desired. We hope to return one day!

This site was perfect for us. It is a hook up for one camper full hook up, worked great. The river launch was a short walk away, and we were able to fish on a little dock. The river cat fish tasted awesome. The host Lisa and Jeff were top-notch. Communicated very promptly with us. although it says it’s in a neighborhood. The houses are very spread out and we never had a sense of feeling crowded at all.. We were able to swim in the springs a couple of miles away. There’s a cute town with a bait shop and a very good little restaurant. We ate breakfast there almost every day. We cooked over our campfire in the evening and Jeff and lisa provided us with great seasoned firewood. We would come here again.
