Our farm is off the beaten path surrounded by mossy oaks and lots of shade. If you are having a rough week, load up and relax on our working farm filled with miniature horses and numerous other adorable miniature animals that will be sure to put a smile on your face. Pack your camping gear, tents, vans or RVs and find peace away from the traffic and everyday stress. There is plenty of nature and you can take a long stroll to clear your head. Mount Dora is across the main street less than 5 minutes away. Our antique town is an amazing experience to explore with lots of history and complete with quaint shops and restaurants, boating and lots of things to do. Rennigers Antique Center is located right up the street (less than 5 minutes away) for some great picking. We are conveniently close to the Central Florida Attractions and the beach on both east and west coasts within an hour drivep. A few Campers favorite places to visit are Mount Dora Bike Trail - 2.6 miles, Kelly Park - 11 miles and Kings Landing 12 miles from farm. We offer youth day camps on various dates, pony rides and a tour of our farm animals for an additional fee. Reservations required in advance due to the other activities we have going on. In 2007, we had no idea where this adventure was going to take us. Our small urban farm was sharing our miniature animals with assisted living facilities and Neulife, where we have 3 miniature horses that live on their property. Little by little we have evolved into more of a need to share with the community and help others with the relaxing qualities our farm and animals have to offer, we want to be able to share and better educate with hands on experiences, teach kindness, patience, confidence and help others to be the best they can be. This property is called relic ranch because we have actually found a ton of old relics. the campground is under an ancient canopy of oaks. so youll always have shade. the center of the property is unique to say the least but the campground is nature at its finest. there is a 2.6 mile nature trail across from the campground to explore. also there is a boat ramp for fishing about 1/8 mile away. you are welcome to roam over most of the 80 acres. We have goats, cows and chickens as well. All super friendly.

The property is definitely different then most. The site itself is super spacious, and has great tree coverage from some ancient oaks. the site can hold up to an extra 5 tents if neened. There is solar power to the tee pee with a 750w solar inverter connected to two deep cycle batteries. Now to get to the site you have to go through the main busy part of the property (we literally have planes, trains and automobiles and more). But once you get to the site you feel the nature. Also right next to the property about 100 yd from where the property starts there is an entrance to a boat ramp (which has a 2 mi canal that goes to lake Apopka where you can launch a canoe or kayak, or do some fishing), also a 2.6 mi nature trail, and about 100 yd as well there is a 25 mile trail that you can bike, walk or horseback ride. That trail is a part of the Apopka wildlife drive which also starts not far from the property. It's a free nature drive on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays plus holidays. We are around 15 to 20 minutes from a few different springs such as wekiva springs, wekiva Island, Rock springs and Kings landing. We are about 45 minutes from SeaWorld, aquatica, volcano Bay, universal studios and more.

This property is called relic ranch because we have actually found a ton of old relics. the campground is under an ancient canopy of oaks. so youll always have shade. the center of the property is unique to say the least but the campground is nature at its finest. there is a 2.6 mile nature trail across from the campground to explore. also there is a boat ramp for fishing about 1/8 mile away. you are welcome to roam over most of the 80 acres. We have goats, cows and chickens as well. All super friendly.

The property is definitely different then most. The site itself is super spacious, and has great tree coverage from some ancient oaks. the site can hold up to an extra 5 tents if neened. There is solar power to the tee pee with a 750w solar inverter connected to two deep cycle batteries. Now to get to the site you have to go through the main busy part of the property (we literally have planes, trains and automobiles and more). But once you get to the site you feel the nature. Also right next to the property about 100 yd from where the property starts there is an entrance to a boat ramp (which has a 2 mi canal that goes to lake Apopka where you can launch a canoe or kayak, or do some fishing), also a 2.6 mi nature trail, and about 100 yd as well there is a 25 mile trail that you can bike, walk or horseback ride. That trail is a part of the Apopka wildlife drive which also starts not far from the property. It's a free nature drive on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays plus holidays. We are around 15 to 20 minutes from a few different springs such as wekiva springs, wekiva Island, Rock springs and Kings landing. We are about 45 minutes from SeaWorld, aquatica, volcano Bay, universal studios and more.

This was our second time at North Shore Relic Ranch, and it’s officially our happy place. There’s something magical about this spot — a mix of country calm, animal chaos, and the kind of hospitality that feels like coming home. James, the host, is the real deal. A solid Army vet, honest as the day is long, and just one of those guys you instantly trust. He takes time to show you around, chat about life, and make sure everything’s perfect — even if Tom the Turkey tries to steal the spotlight (again). Speaking of Tom, that bird is on permanent patrol. We brought him a fresh split cantaloupe, and let me tell you, it was love at first bite. He strutted around like a feathery sheriff making his rounds. And the best part? They’ve got “Butt Nuggets” — yep, farm-fresh chicken eggs with a name that guarantees a smile every breakfast. We fed the animals, watched the sun go down, breathed clean air, and remembered what peace actually feels like. This place is therapy with hooves and feathers. Already planning our third visit — because once you meet Tom and James, you’re basically part of the ranch family.

This was our second time staying at North Shore Relic Ranch, and somehow it just keeps getting better. We love coming back to feed the animals, soak in the peace of the countryside, and just slow down for a bit. James, our host, is an absolute gem — a humble and trustworthy Army vet who goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels welcome. You can tell he genuinely cares about both his guests and his animals. Speaking of animals — Tom the Turkey was on full patrol again, strutting his stuff like he owns the place (which, honestly, he probably does). We brought him some fresh split cantaloupe, and he was very appreciative. Don’t leave without grabbing a few of their “Butt Nuggets” (aka fresh chicken eggs). They’re delicious, and buying them is just part of the fun charm that makes this place feel like home. If you want a stay that’s equal parts relaxing, quirky, and heartwarming — this is it. Already counting down the days till our next visit.

First off If I could rate higher I would ! From the moment we pulled in, James made us feel right at home. He’s friendly, easy to talk to, and genuinely cares about every guest’s experience. As an Army vet, he brings this quiet integrity and humility that really sets the tone for the whole place. He took the time to walk us around the farm and introduce us to everything — and the stars of the show are definitely the turkeys. They’ve got huge personalities, guard the place like loyal dogs, and honestly made our whole trip even more memorable. The property itself is peaceful, clean, and perfect for primitive camping. There’s kayaking nearby, nature trails, fresh local eggs, and even farmers markets just down the road. It’s got that authentic, down-to-earth feel you can’t fake — the kind of place that makes you want to stay a little longer just to breathe it all in. For me I need to put my feet in the earth and swing on a hammock surrounded by trees- this is that place If you’re looking to unplug, reconnect with nature, and camp somewhere that feels like family, North Shore Relic Ranch is it.

I didn't actually stay here because it was a rainy weekend, but I did swing by to check out the site and see the farm animals. Kathryn was very accommodating even though I wasn't staying (offered me an indoor suite since it was raining), and gave me a nice tour. Her husband was also nice, I did his fun little bowling ball search. I was a total mess that day and locked my keys in my car, ended up having to get a tow truck to open it, but she was very chill and kept me company during that stressful experience. Great hosts, and a very nice property! I plan to return at some point!

We spent three peaceful nights at Lakeside RV and couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing getaway. The site was wonderfully private, making it easy to unwind and enjoy the quiet and lakeview. Our dog had an absolute blast—plenty of space to roam and nearby trails to explore. One of our favorite outings was to a nearby park with scenic walking paths and a beautiful boardwalk stretching over the lake—perfect for morning strolls and sunset views. Laura was fantastic to work with. She was incredibly responsive and accommodating, especially when we had to adjust our arrival due to unexpected weather. Her flexibility and clear communication made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend Lakeside RV for anyone looking for a tranquil escape.

We opened to the public on Labor Day 2014. Most people come to stay either in our rental cottage or in their horse trailers/RVs with their horses to ride the awesome trails in the 20,000+ acre adjacent Croom Forest. However, because our ranch is so peaceful, many stay here without horses just to enjoy the peace and quiet. There are many opportunities to recreate in the area, including outstanding mountain and road biking, OHVing, hiking, golfing, and canoeing/kayaking. Many full-time and working RVers stay for extended periods. Note that our camping area is small and intimate, so you will be close to other campers. We have 5 30-amp hookups, and 2 50-amp hookups; if you need 50-amp service, please request it. Note that a minimum of a 2-night stay will typically be required on weekends, especially during our busy season. WiFi is available, but we call it "Country WiFi" since it sometimes can be slow and may or may not be accessible from where you are parked; also, Verizon cell service in our area is terrible. If internet access is important to you, we suggest having your own hotspot or internet service (many working RVers have Starlink). Note that GPS can be very mean in our rural area; make sure your turn off Highway 50 is onto paved High Corner Road, which is 2 miles west of I-75 (if GPS tries to turn you down unpaved, dead-end roads, DO NOT LISTEN..you will get stuck!).

An RV site with 30A power and water hookup, but no restroom available fo the RV site. A one room cabin with a queen bed is available with a separate full bathroom. Come visit our friendly donkey (Henry) and Scottish Highland cow (Wallace). You will hear roosters, braying and some mooing early in the morning. The Withlacoochee Trail is a mile east at the end of the road. This is a biking, hiking and equestrian trail. Florida Classic Park is roughly 2 miles north on Lockhart. The Croom Recreational Area is also 3 miles away. If you are traveling with farm animals, we do have (2) 2-acre cross-fenced paddocks available for an additional fee. We also have a stable available, but that does have a concrete floor with mats. Please reach out to us directly in this regard.

It's a quiet setting behind Sacred Heart church, sandwiched between a large open field and the railroad tracks far in back behind trees. We've worked hard to make it a cozy retreat - like setting where people can spend a few nights in an affordable manner just 5 minutes from the beaches and fun New Smyrna Beach attractions. Biking, boating, sunning, fishing, paddle-boarding, kayaking, eating... all within a few minutes of your quiet retreat. Our house is on the property but it's 200 feet away behind trees/bushes. It's a 100 year old house built from the wood of a church in NSB. Lifted up on a Coquina rock wall it is quite unique. There is a large secluded area where your dogs can be run. We have dogs too but there's plenty of room to share.

Mount Dora Surrounds

Two massive nature preserves await just east of Mount Dora—the Seminole State Forest has miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails, plus primitive camping, while the adjacent Lower Wekiva River Preserve State Park has another 18 miles of multi-use trails as well as a canoe/kayak launch on the Wekiva River.
