Each of the sites allows for watching the livestock, hanging out at the watering hole, and sitting around the communal campfire. Our favorite things about our property are privacy, amenities, and all of the roaming mini livestock throughout the property! Your hosts do not live onsite however, will be available to you during your visit. We are friendly and as non-invasive as we can be. We do love meeting our guests and are available for any questions that come up. Our primary purpose when developing this property was to create a safe space for children with special needs and their families. We are a no judgment zone and adhere to Hipcamp's inclusion policy. The property is geared more toward adults as many of our plants are poisonous, sharp or have dangerous spines, especially if wandering off the main paths and walkways. Safety is a priority; because of this, we ask that you do not touch our plants and stay on the main paths and walkways when enjoying the property. The RV parking site has a 50 amp (30 amp adapter) RV power hook-up. There is also a 15-amp outlet (120V) at the site you can use as well. There is potable/city water hook-up, but no blackwater sewer services or blackwater dumping on the property. Your site has a dedicated shaded sitting area surrounded by bamboo and palm trees for your personal use secluded in the front yard. We're in a safe, residential neighborhood in a wonderful, unincorporated, beachside community, less than a mile to Walmart, Aldi, Walgreens, countless restaurants, bars, cafes, shops and the Indian River Lagoon. Our ocean access boardwalk does not offer public restrooms, parking or lifeguards, but there are several parks nearby that do. Had an amazing and relaxing weekend. The campsite itself was very private, and the proximity to the “private-ish” beach was the best part. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. It was the perfect private getaway. The only downside was that the mini fridge at our site wasn’t working, so we had to rely on our cooler. Aside from that small issue, it was a 10/10 experience. We’ll definitely be back for the peace and quiet.

The skoolie was the absolute best after camping for a few days in the August Florida heat. Melinda left out some snacks, and there was a full kitchen in which we cooked dinner. The bed and the pull out were both super comfy, and nothing beat the shower!! As far as skoolies go, this is one of the best I’ve seen! Melinda was also great, even letting us do some laundry in her guest house. Everything felt very safe and cozy, would definitely stay again!

What a great place! First of all, you are just across the street from the beach and from a turtle sanctuary!! It’s one of the last spots on the Atlantic coast of Florida which is not overdeveloped. I hesitate to broadcast it too much as it is so special! John runs a small surf shop and a surf camp. So there’s a low key, cool business attached to the property (filled with great books to be loaned). The yurt is quite comfortable and has all the amenities you need. It’s very quiet and surrounded by jungle like foliage. I highly recommend this place. We will absolutely be back. My only suggestion is in summer note that they have mosquitoes. It’s manageable, but prepare in advance.

At night, the sky opens up enough for great stargazing. There’s a small herbal garden on site, and a yoga deck tucked under the trees for morning stretches or a quiet sit in nature. I usually have fresh farm eggs available as well. If you’re looking for something low-key, close to nature, and not overly manicured, this spot tends to be a good fit. It works for solo campers wanting some peace, families who want room for kids to explore, and anyone passing through on their way to the coast or springs. The energy of the land is gentle and grounding—simple, earthy, and easy to relax into.

During certain times of the year and certain times of the day, there are a million bugs! We stay inside during these times. We are 25 minutes from Okeechobee City, the bass fishing capital of the world, 45 minutes to Fort Pierce, & 35 miles from Sebring International Raceway. The Kissimmee Prairie State Park is very close by. The prairie is the darkest part of Florida. Astronomers, bring your telescopes and cameras to capture the night. You will possibly see cows, bobcats, wild turkeys, wild pigs, armadillos, birds, or the neighbors dogs might show up. Don’t worry, they are quite friendly. We have a 50 amp RV Hookup with NO septic and plenty of space for primitive camping. Bring your horse, but there is no paddock or barn. The storage building on the premises is not part of the rental, please leave it alone. There is electricity and non-potable water. The water is safe for teeth brushing, washing dishes, and showering, but it does have a very strong smell of sulfur. There is an outhouse. Please use it sparingly & only flush toilet paper provided. There is an outside sink, an outside shower with no privacy, a picnic table and a fire pit. If you come with your RV, please use your RV toilet. There will be a major fine for any septic dumping. 1/3 of the land is cleared and 2/3 is full of mature oak trees and trails. It is fenced with barbed wire fencing. Please keep your food trash in your cars & take it with you. You do not want to attract predators. You can recycle, or throw away any trash that is not related to food in the garbage can. Keep an eye on your small dogs. There are also snakes and predatory birds. It is hard with words to describe the beauty of this property, so please check out the pictures. Happy Camping!
