100 acres of Florida land. 20 acres of primitive camping and the rest is a working farm with horses and cows. Arena, lodge, bathrooms, and lots of green grass. Lodge may be closed at times, for private functions Stalls are available upon request. NO SMALL CHILDREN. 10 YRS AND OVER. CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES. PLEASE DO NOT START A CAMP FIRE BEFORE CHECKING WITH MANAGMENT. IF YOU USE THE LODGE, PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELVES AND TURN OFF LIGHTS. DOGS MUST BE ON A LEASH. The equestrian center is very nice. It was a lovely experience for my family. There are things that could be improved—though I understand that this is typical of farms—but for camping, it was a bit uncomfortable; specifically, having limited access to electricity meant we had to carry our air mattresses a considerable distance just to inflate them. Furthermore, although there is access to a restroom and shower, the children were unable to use them due to the condition they were in. We are very grateful for our hostess's hospitality and for allowing us to stay on her farm, but I am writing this review for the benefit of future visitors, so they can keep these points in mind. Thank you.

I went on a last minute getaway and quickly found out all of the campsites in the Fort Pierce area were either full or closed. If you are a caregiver like me, I’m sure you will understand the need to get away from it all for a short time. Annie at Ashby Acres Farm to the rescue! She had excellent communication, she was friendly, caring and took the time to guide me by phone at night through the gate entrance process. The property is awesome, the horses are beautiful and all of the staff and horse riders were very friendly.

Great site if you are prepared for dry camping. Little confused at check in via text message and moving around in the dark. Staff around the property are very standoffish, best just not even saying hello while passing. Hipcamp is not a priority on this site. I cleaned up shit off the floor in the "good bathroom " could not use the toilet, was absolutely disgusting! Bring your own cleaning supplies , paper towels and toilet paper. Good news is that flying Jay, 3 miles down the road offers a $12 shower. I recommend another choice when traveling in a hurry.

A real working Equestrian farm. My wife and I loved the amazing horse's + donkeys and miniature horses. Grounds are well maintained. The restroom (functionable) hot water shower! Everyone super friendly. All the real farm smells and sounds. We were real lucky good weather all week (4 nights). Our first Hipcamp, will do it again! Let the adventures begin! And Thank You.

The bathrooms/ showers which were advertised as an added feature for this tent site were filthy ....they looked like they had not been cleaned in forever . The site also had very high grass ... Not sure why it hasn't been cut if it's going to be specific for tent camping . When I mention these things to the host ..Annie she said these were primitive sites.. But it specifically says that these sites have redone bathrooms and showers in response to another tent camper who also shared the same thing I'm sharing . I believe if she's charging close to $40 per night indicating that there are clean and updated bathrooms and showers That it needs to be known that this is not the case on any level. The bathrooms looked like they had There's also someone that lives on the property that she said was a police officer who lives in an RV and stays on the property. This was not mentioned. She actually told me when I spoke to her that there was no other hip campers there. My site was right across from the gentleman who she said was a police officer who lives in an RV as a full time resident .. And while I'm sure he's a nice guy, it still made me not totally comfortable being a single woman. I think this should be stated up front especially if he is a full time resident so to speak . There was also another camper that had several tents who was also a male. she told me that I would be the only one when I booked the site. This made me feel a bit uncomfortable as a single woman.

It was a tranquil, mostly quiet place to camp (aside from a neighbors music blaring off and on the first night and dogs barking) and honestly one of the cleanest horse farms I’ve ever been. We were grateful to have the bathroom and shower to use. Bring your own TP just in case :) No picnic tables available as listed but she brought us a pop up one. There wasn’t many campers to be seen, mostly the owners of the horses coming to take care and ride their horses which there were so many beautiful ones to meet! It was fun to meet the mini ponies too. I wish they offered horseback riding. Anne did give us info for a place that does. All in all a good stay and my 13yo daughter and her friend enjoyed it too.

We had a lovely, large patch of grass and a short walk to a flush toilet and shower. So good camping. But the best part is that this is a working horse farm with SO many horses, some in stalls and some in pastures and all beautiful to watch. We loved being there. Bring your own water for drinking.
