The property is definitely different then most. The site itself is super spacious, and has great tree coverage from some ancient oaks. the site can hold up to an extra 5 tents if neened. There is solar power to the tee pee with a 750w solar inverter connected to two deep cycle batteries. Now to get to the site you have to go through the main busy part of the property (we literally have planes, trains and automobiles and more). But once you get to the site you feel the nature. Also right next to the property about 100 yd from where the property starts there is an entrance to a boat ramp (which has a 2 mi canal that goes to lake Apopka where you can launch a canoe or kayak, or do some fishing), also a 2.6 mi nature trail, and about 100 yd as well there is a 25 mile trail that you can bike, walk or horseback ride. That trail is a part of the Apopka wildlife drive which also starts not far from the property. It's a free nature drive on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays plus holidays. We are around 15 to 20 minutes from a few different springs such as wekiva springs, wekiva Island, Rock springs and Kings landing. We are about 45 minutes from SeaWorld, aquatica, volcano Bay, universal studios and more.

the campground is under an ancient canopy of oaks. so youll always have shade. the center of the property is unique to say the least but the campground is nature at its finest.
there is a 2.6 mile nature trail across from the campground to explore.
also there is a boat ramp for fishing about 1/8 mile away. you are welcome to roam over most of the 80 acres. We have goats, cows and chickens as well. All super friendly.

Rob & Mike were excellent hosts! The “Far Away” site has excellent views of the night sky and surrounding woods. Sighted owls, fawn, all sorts of interesting insects, and the horses came to visit one morning. The pavilion was clean and well kept. Loved the trails and the farm tour too!

Teresa always makes it easy for me to stay. This was my 4th or 5th stay. I had a wedding to attend during the 4th of July weekend. I was driving back and forth each day without knowing in advance when I would get back for the night. I kept "T" informed the best I could. I love her and I love this place.

We had the most amazing stay at Lucky U Ranch! Robin and Mike are incredible hosts who genuinely care about their guests and have created such a peaceful, welcoming place. The property is quiet, secluded, gated, and feels very safe—exactly what we were looking for. We needed air for our camper tires during our stay, and they were kind enough to bring over an air compressor to help us out without hesitation.
The ranch is full of friendly animals, including goats, pigs, miniature horses, horses, donkeys, turkeys, and ducks, which made our stay even more special. There are marked walking trails, and it’s incredibly dog-friendly, making it perfect for traveling with pets. We even got a tour of their ranch which was awesome!
The amenities were fantastic, especially for RVers. We had full hookups, access to clean showers, potable water, and a cozy community pavilion with a coffee bar. Everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully set up.
It’s easy to see why Lucky U Ranch was named one of Hipcamp’s Top 50 campgrounds in the U.S. We loved every minute of our week here and can’t recommend it enough. If you’re looking for a quiet escape with wonderful hosts, beautiful scenery, and plenty of animals to love, this is the place. We can’t wait to come back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I loved camping at North Shore Relic Ranch. A friend of mine camped here in the spring and recommended I stay here. Such a quiet area! We got to hear some bard owls and then explored the relics the next morning. The owner was kind enough to allow us to feed the cows and goats. We also got to pet the cats and chickens! Such a beautiful place!!

Reserved site 4 but Host said site 8 was more suitable for our 33’ travel trailer and it was! Very level and well kept. Pool was great! Perfect temperature and clean. Very clear pool rules posted on multiple signs. Very clean pool area. Small open air amenity center with pool table, foosball table, board games, seating and TV. Two public fire pits as well and individual rings at campsites. Host wa son site and accessible. WiFi strong. Will definitely visit again soon!

The site was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, giving us plenty of room to relax and enjoy our time outdoors. This has been the best place we've stayed! Everyone is very friendly and happy to help any way they can. The view are amazing, the property is peaceful and quiet. It feels safer and more comfortable than anywhere we've stayed. You're free to interact with the horses and donkeys wandering the property throughout the day, so keep some carrots handy! The electricity has been reliable and steady throughout our stay of several weeks. And the price is fantastic, especially considering all the perks of staying here and the fact that we have a carport covering over our RV!
The showers and bathrooms on site are so cool and very clean, you can tell they take great pride in everything they do here. Where the bathrooms are at, they have a small bin of outdoor toys for kids in case you need something to entertain the little ones. They also have Keurig coffee maker, a large dishwashing sink, a microwave, etc nearby the bathrooms in case you need. They have several well marked walking trails on the property. On the weekend if you want to participate, they do a farm tour where you meet the goats, pigs, chickens, turkeys, etc.
We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for a while as we got ourselves ready and situated in the RV for full time living. It almost made us reconsider leaving and just maybe staying here lol.
We will definitely be back when we come to Florida to visit family. Thank you Rob and Mike for such a wonderful stay and sharing your space with us!

My son and I had plenty to do. James dropped off plenty of firewood and checked to make sure things were going well. He told of different places to boat and kayak and tube close by. We enjoyed biking and looking at all the “relics”. Definitely a fun camp vibe and worth the money. We plan to be back.

My daughter and I had the most peaceful and amazing camping trip here at Lucky U Ranch! I highly recommend for families or couples or anybody looking to get away the crazy life of Florida. The ranch itself is very beautiful and upkeep. The public amenities couldn’t be better. The shower is the toilet and everything were absolutely incredible! And a top of it all off the livestock and the beautiful horses were absolutely just a cherry on top! All the animals are so friendly and roam around freely. It really is such a gem to Camp here! We tent camp at the magnolia spot. We couldn’t recommend it more. It felt very private and secluded, but still very close to all the amenities. I highly highly recommend this place! We will definitely be back this winter. Thank you so much to you both! And Mike, you are absolutely outstanding. I really appreciate your hospitality and generosity!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful Camping Experience at Tangerine Hideaway
We had an amazing stay at Tangerine Hideaway. The campsite was exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained. One of our favorite features was the outdoor rain shower—so relaxing to shower while gazing at the sky. The bathroom facilities, including the toilets and sinks, were spotless and clearly well cared for.
The entire campground is thoughtfully maintained, and even more exciting, they are currently doing some renovations that will make it even better. The host was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and really made us feel at home. They were always available for questions or local tips.
If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-managed camping experience in the Mount Dora area, Tangerine Hideaway is a must-visit. We can't wait to see how the renovations turn out!
