Note that the ranch is up for sale, so we are only accepting reservations 2 months in advance (this window will continue to change, and we will stay open until we move). We opened to the public on Labor Day 2014. Most people come to stay either in our rental cottage or in their horse trailers/RVs with their horses to ride the awesome trails in the 20,000+ acre adjacent Croom Forest. However, because our ranch is so peaceful, many stay here without horses just to enjoy the peace and quiet. There are many opportunities to recreate in the area, including outstanding mountain and road biking, OHVing, hiking, golfing, and canoeing/kayaking. Many full-time and working RVers stay for extended periods. Note that our camping area is small and intimate, so you will be close to other campers. We have 5 30-amp hookups, and 2 50-amp hookups; if you need 50-amp service, please request it. Note that a minimum of a 2-night stay will typically be required on weekends, especially during our busy season. WiFi is available, but we call it "Country WiFi" since it sometimes can be slow and may or may not be accessible from where you are parked; also, Verizon cell service in our area is terrible. If internet access is important to you, we suggest having your own hotspot or internet service (many working RVers have Starlink). Note that GPS can be very mean in our rural area; make sure your turn off Highway 50 is onto paved High Corner Road, which is 2 miles west of I-75 (if GPS tries to turn you down unpaved, dead-end roads, DO NOT LISTEN..you will get stuck!). If you don't have your own RV, you can rent one from Ray Day's RV Rentals, which is literally around the corner.

This is a wonderful place to camp - a true Jewel for car/tent campers. It is spacious and beautiful. It's an awesome place to bring your family to enjoy the ranch animals. The owners were wonderfully gracious and very kind. They were very attentive and responsive. They provided a tour of the land and the animals, where I learned so much in such a small amount of time. The hot outdoor showers were amazing. They were very clean, equipped with towels, shampoo, and body wash. and decorated nicely. They have sinks, coffee bar and picnic tables and a pavilion with barbecue pits. This is definitely a favorite of mine that my adult kids actually want to visit. Be prepared to hear the donkeys and dogs at night - which is a true ranch living experience. Also be prepared for your campground to be raided by donkeys and horses which have now become an extended part of my family. Verizon 5G is very strong here.

Ramona and Don were Wonderful camp hosts. Very accommodating and gave me a tour of the campground and what the amenities were. Rest room near my campsite was very clean. Setting was very nice, saw wild turkey and deer. Enjoyed being close to the river.

Rob and Mike are amazing hosts. They went above and beyond to help us out and make us feel comfortable. The bathrooms and showers are great, the care for the facilities is awesome (always cleaned early in the morning) and we got to have a tour with the animals on Saturday. They also helped us out with unforeseen circumstances and helped us with a leaf blower, a vacuum cleaner and extension cord. Overall, great hosts, great place and experience. Would recommend it to anyone!

Our stay was great! Better than imagined. The camp was peaceful and the animals were delightful. The donkeys were very gentle. Visiting with newly born goats was a treat. We appreciate Rob & Mike's extra attention to our needs/requests. The camping spot was perfect. We're looking at our calendar to plan our next visit.

Group trip
We can't recommend staying at Lucky U Ranch enough! We booked their RV option for a group of 5 and had ample space. We happened to book at the same time as a very large group, so they were kind enough to move us to an area with a little more privacy. Any questions we had were promptly answered, with Mike and Rob going so far as offering driving to get additional items for us! We had an issue getting our oven to work, so they had a nearby staff member, Kim, come and help us. She was so kind and accommodating with us, a true rockstar. The animals and land are very obviously well cared for and loved, and we had an absolute blast doing the ranch tour. We also enjoyed exploring the 3 different trails they have :) The pavilion with showers, toilets, and an outdoor kitchen for the tent camping area was well maintained, and some of our group actually chose using those facilities over the one in the RV as it was so comparable. Our group had the same consensus leaving- we had the most amazing and relaxing trip ever, and it was all due to the great care the hosts put into the experience!

7 nights at The Inn At The Forest
Teresa is a wonderful host and a good friend. She’s very kind and helpful. She knows the area and gave good suggestions for fun activities. She has a handful of outdoor toys for the guests to use like paddle boards, floaties, and e-bikes (which were my son’s favorite). The trailer we stayed in was nice, cool, and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again next time we are in Florida.

We had a blast this past weekend staying at the Lucky U Ranch! Mike and Rob are absolutely incredible and amazing hosts. They have thought of everything possible for every camper’s needs in a campground~ attention and care is placed into every detail. We met all the farm animals and it truly was great bonding experience for our family. The RV accommodation we rented was clean, well-stocked, and had everything we needed. This wonderful place truly 100 % deserves to be in a top spot in Hipcamp’s Top Places to visit!

We enjoyed our weekend at Crystal’s place. There was plenty of room to set up and we liked the nice rural setting. Convenient to all the fun outdoor activities in the area. We also were able to purchase some farm fresh eggs and bacon! Definitely would recommend.

Rob and Mike were very nice and made sure everything was going well. It was an easy check in process and let me check in early to get set up before some rain came in. The facilities were nice and had towels and soap in shower. They had a nice kitchen area as well. Definitely one of the best Hipcamps I have stayed at!
