Weekend Trip to Anastasia Island RV Pad Rental

We chose Sherri and Robert mid afternoon (last minute) after being unable to secure a walk in site at the Anastasio State Park. They were very accommodating, and the camping spot in front of their home worked out perfectly for our 24’ Winnebago View with a rear and side slide. The WiFi connection was superb, and of course there was ample power and water. The neighborhood was quiet and provided a nice, safe place to walk our dog. This was our first Hipcamp experience and we would certainly stay here again.

We loved staying at Sherri and Robert's site. It is so convenient to historic St. Augustine and the beach. The pad is level, and the site has full hookups (30 amp). The hosts are friendly and helpful. They even loaned us camp chairs as we forgot to pack ours. We will definitely return when we visit St. Augustine.

Robert and Sherri are awesome hosts. They made us feel at home and their place is so cute and well taken care of. Saw lots of birds and some turtles in the pond. The back yard is very serene and quiet. The camping neighbors in site 2 were real nice too. The pad is a driveway, but the way they have it set up, with hedges and a nice paver patio, you don’t feel like you’re in a front yard.

Staying at Robert & Sherri's quaint and quiet space for a week was just what I needed to feel some respite and renewal. I was at pad #2, which had access to a lovely patio set and a couple of chairs in a grassy area for relaxation. Having hook-ups for water, electric, and wastewater was such a convenience. I had the opportunity to ride my bicycle to the beach, which was incredibly fun. It was a very simple and safe route down well-maintained sidewalks with beautiful scenery. They recommended that I visit the local farmer's market at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, which I also did by bicycle on very safe sidewalks and one manageable crossing. I was able to buy some fresh vegetables and fruit as well as enjoy a really nice breakfast from a couple of food vendors. Listening to the stylings of some local musicians playing at the market was a bonus. In the afternoons, I enjoyed sitting on the lounge chair by the lake in their backyard watching turtles poking their heads above water and local birds fishing. I truly appreciate the privacy that I was provided by Robert and Sherri. They were so friendly and truly respected my Skoolie as my home. They did invite me to have tea and snacks with them. It was wonderful to talk story and get to know them. They are incredibly kind people and have created a little oasis by the beach in a safe and quiet neighborhood. *There is a KOA literally a street over...so glad I came across their place.

Stayed at site 3 and it was very peaceful. Tim is very respectful and checked in on us when we got lost on the land. Will stay here again

Kenny’s yard was spacious and easy to find. I arrived in the dark but it was well marked. Kenny was proactive with check-in info and was available right away when I had a question. I would definitely stay here again. I had the whole place to myself, so I parked under a tree for some shelter from the rain.

Kenny’s land was perfect. He was extremely responsive which was awesome because I was tired on the road and booked a late night, last minute reservation. He even lent me the correct adaptor to hookup my camper. His dogs were really cool and super sweet. They stayed over on their side of the property which didn’t interfere at all with me walking my dog on the other side of the property. The lake was beautiful to wake up to! We will definitely be back :)

This was a great place to spend a couple days...more if you're not passing thru like we were. A nice private patio next to the spot gave us enough space to put up our 2' tall fence for the pups. Robert and Sherri were very accommodating, and he provided us with pamphlets about things to do and places to eat in the area. We could not have asked for a better St. Aug area stay! Spot is level and easy to get into and out of. Will ask to stay again if we find ourselves in the area.

Great location that gives a nice sense of privacy. Well maintained. We walked to the beach daily, took our pup on a neighborhood stroll and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. While we did t get to meet Sherri, Robert was very friendly.

We loved camping on Robert’s property. We had full hookups, a rarity in hip camps. We had a lovely little patio and also use of the backyard overlooking a pond. Robert was very helpful in getting us set up and gave us a welcome pack for St Augustine. We found it very easy to drive down to old town St Augustine for the day with a parking lot just for busses and rvs. Very easy to walk around the old city. One day we rode our bikes to the St Augustine beach and the next day we rode to Anastasia State Park. All in all it was a wonderful stay.

Kenny was very accommodating. Site is picturesque with lake and beautiful trees. Saw some fish jumping, beautiful birds.

This was our first time using Hipcamp and we were a little apprehensive staying on private property. It couldn't of gone more perfectly. Kenny called before we got there with instructions. We were the only ones there which was perfect. We did not spend a lot of time there as we were visiting family. Would definitely stay again!

Site one was very private. Quiet. If there wasn’t a fire ban, it would’ve been a great place for a fire. There was a fire pit and a nice picnic table. I would definitely stay here again

We really enjoyed staying with Sherri and Robert. They are very friendly and welcoming. The pad was super clean. We had a little area to hang out in outside of camper van. The location is perfect and we biked everywhere. I highly recommend the site. If we go back to St. Auggie we will stay there again. Thank you Sherri and Robert for everything.

The RV space at Sherri and Robert's was clean and well organized. We had an outdoor seating area and the setting was lovely and quiet. I had no trouble backing into the space (25ft travel trailer, 30ft overall). The location was very convenient to St. Augustine, Anastasia Lighthouse, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Robert and Sherrri and (too late...) found out that we have some common interests. We will definitely be back!

A stone’s throw away from a KOA campground, but why would you stay there when you could stay with Robert and Sherri! Idyllic surroundings even though you’re parked in their driveway. Private feel, quiet neighborhood. Access to a beautiful pond (sunset cocktails!) Perfect hosts; incredibly hospitable. Dog-friendly. So close to everything that St. Augustine and Anastasia Island has to offer. Walkable to the beach if you don’t mind walking a bit. Great internet access. Hosts have great recommendations for restaurants and activities. Dog-friendly activity recommendations: St. Augustine Distillery, Fountain of Youth, and the many state parks. We are fairly new to RVing and feel lucky to have stumbled upon such a perfect spot that we know we will return to many times in the future.

Enjoyed camping at Tim’s farm - site 5. He was very accommodating of our late check-in and was very responsive despite being out of town. Fell asleep to a big, beautiful, almost-full moon and the sound of frogs and waterfowl in the pond. Sunrise was lovely.

Our two level (full hookup) RV pads are on beautiful Anastasia Island within walking distance to the Atlantic ocean, Pier Court Park and the St. Augustine Amphitheater. Anastasia State Park is within a mile. St. Augustine is just over the Bridge of Lions three miles away. Our pad are very private behind an 11' privacy fence. Each has its own furnished patio and small green yard space. We have a small fishing lake in the back yard (unfenced). There is a national bird rookery preserve a few blocks away so the bird watching is wonderful. There is an alligator farm and a dolphin aquarium on the island., as well as an historic continuous working light house and Maritime Museum. Our pads are just across the Bridge of Lions (2 miles) from the Oldest USA city, St. Augustine, Fl. The historic Fountain of Youth is there along with Castillo de San Marcus National Monument, St. George Street, the historic district plus many other attractions. We have two level paver RV Pads. They both have electric, black and grey water cleanout, fast high speed internet (full hookup). They each have private patios for picnics, socializing, and relaxing. Both pads have high speed internet. Pad 1 accommodates an RV up to up to 32' in length. Pad 2 accommodates an RV up to 34' in length. We accept small Class A Motorhomes 32' and under, Class B, Class C, Small 5th Wheel, Pop-up Campers, Vans and Travel Trailers. Sorry, no tent camping is allowed. There is also a large back deck with picnic area overlooking the small fishing lake in the back yard. We enjoy meeting fellow travelers and sharing our paradise island. We are LGBTQ friendly. Our neighborhood is quiet and safe. The location has easy access to great adventures, history and wonderful memories may be made here. Pets are welcome on leash. accompanied by an adult, Each pet is $5. additional fee. There is an off leash park two blocks away. Most of the beaches are also pet friendly. Olive Land Farms is a 12.4 acres farm growing over 2500 Olive trees of 8 different varieties of olives, from 3 of the most renowned olive producing countries in the world. They have been growing here in Hastings, Florida for over a year as they all migrated here from California. The goal of our research project is to establish whether olives could be a profitable crop for the State of Florida. Our research is headed by Reinaldo Valdes, PHD and with the collaboration of Olive growers from Andalucia, Spain. We have 2 varieties from Greece: Koroneiki and Kalamata, 2 varieties from Italy: Taggianca and Ascolana, and 4 varieties from Spain: Picuale, Manzanilla, Arbozana and Arbequina. We are hoping to have our first harvest in 3 to 5 years, until then, we are importing olive oil, representing some of the best olive oils in the world, and educating the consumers about the great qualities and properties of cooking and enjoying the best, heathiest oil in the world, as well as olives. Olive Land Farms also sell trees for homes and garden. In addition to our Olive grove we are a carbon farm, as our trees grow, they will be absorbing carbon dioxide form the environment. A fully grown olive tree can absorb 4.5 tons of carbon dioxide per year, according to the International Olive Council ( you do the math, especially when we are very close to one of the few coal burning power plants still in operation in our country) We are also a bird sanctuary, you will see a vast variety of birds, it’s an amazing show, we have different bird at all seasons, ducks migrating south for the winter as well as when they are heading back north, quite a sight to see, hawks, cardinals and cranes and the most amazing sunrises and sunsets, come visit with us. Olive Land Farms is a family learning and growing experience for all our guests, no politics, no soliciting, no negative energy, come and enjoy a peaceful day among the olive trees.
