Mount Dora is across the main street less than 5 minutes away. Our antique town is an amazing experience to explore with lots of history and complete with quaint shops and restaurants, boating and lots of things to do. Rennigers Antique Center is located right up the street (less than 5 minutes away) for some great picking. We are conveniently close to the Central Florida Attractions and the beach on both east and west coasts within an hour drivep. A few Campers favorite places to visit are Mount Dora Bike Trail - 2.6 miles, Kelly Park - 11 miles and Kings Landing 12 miles from farm.
We offer youth day camps on various dates, pony rides and a tour of our farm animals for an additional fee.
Reservations required in advance due to the other activities we have going on.
In 2007, we had no idea where this adventure was going to take us.
Our small urban farm was sharing our miniature animals with assisted living facilities and Neulife, where we have 3 miniature horses that live on their property.
Little by little we have evolved into more of a need to share with the community and help others with the relaxing qualities our farm and animals have to offer, we want to be able to share and better educate with hands on experiences, teach kindness, patience, confidence and help others to be the best they can be.

Shiloh was the name of an early Florida town that was once located just down the road from our property. It was populated by hardy, adventurous folks who made a way for themselves and their families by clearing a spot along the lagoon, building a home and forging a life in a new location.
But Shiloh is now lost, literally removed from the maps. It no longer exists. When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. Residents were bought out and forced to move. Houses were relocated or demolished. Shiloh disappeared into history while the space-age pushed forward into the future.
However... some foundations still can be found in the woods not far away, if you know where to look. There are even cemeteries that remain, whispering the names of individuals and families.
As a tribute to those early adventurers, we have named our place Camp Shiloh. We honor the past, we respect the wild Florida that surrounds us, and we celebrate the future as we watch rocket launches from our porch.
You are welcome to stay on the property while you explore the local communities of New Smyrna and Titusville, relax at beautiful Canaveral National Seashore, attend races in Daytona, visit amusement parks in Orlando... or whatever! It’s up to you. We are a peaceful, safe location from which you can stage your Florida adventure. Come on by. We look forward to hosting you!

Park your van/small RV or pitch your tent on our rural homestead conveniently located 1000 ft off of US Hwy 1. Nearest I-95 exit is 3 miles away. Watch rocket launches, visit nearby beaches, attend NASCAR races, see local communities, relax at Canaveral National Seashore, birdwatch at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, fish Mosquito Lagoon, or visit the amusement parks of Orlando, we are a safe and quiet location from which to stage your adventures. We have two campsites. Site 1 is a nice level, grassy campsite for tent or RV, complete with a fire ring, picnic table, and firewood. Site 2 is the Glamping Greenhouse! We aren't fancy, but are clean, secure, and private. You can come and go as you please, and day-trip all over beautiful central Florida!

the campground is under an ancient canopy of oaks. so youll always have shade. the center of the property is unique to say the least but the campground is nature at its finest.

The property is definitely different then most. The site itself is super spacious, and has great tree coverage from some ancient oaks. the site can hold up to an extra 5 tents if neened. There is solar power to the tee pee with a 750w solar inverter connected to two deep cycle batteries. Now to get to the site you have to go through the main busy part of the property (we literally have planes, trains and automobiles and more). But once you get to the site you feel the nature. Also right next to the property about 100 yd from where the property starts there is an entrance to a boat ramp (which has a 2 mi canal that goes to lake Apopka where you can launch a canoe or kayak, or do some fishing), also a 2.6 mi nature trail, and about 100 yd as well there is a 25 mile trail that you can bike, walk or horseback ride. That trail is a part of the Apopka wildlife drive which also starts not far from the property. It's a free nature drive on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays plus holidays. We are around 15 to 20 minutes from a few different springs such as wekiva springs, wekiva Island, Rock springs and Kings landing. We are about 45 minutes from SeaWorld, aquatica, volcano Bay, universal studios and more.

Where the camper is located there is a half mile trail through the forest, across from our driveway there is a 2.6 mile nature trail, a 15 mile biking trail, place to launch a kayak or boat, and we are close to wekiva and rock springs. not to mention a free 15 mile nature drive on the weekends just minutes away. plus we arent far from downtown Mount Dora. Our small urban farm was sharing our miniature animals with assisted living facilities and Neulife, where we have 3 miniature horses that live on their property.
Little by little we have evolved into more of a need to share with the community and help others with the relaxing qualities our farm and animals have to offer, we want to be able to share and better educate with hands on experiences, teach kindness, patience, confidence and help others to be the best they can be.

Shiloh was the name of an early Florida town that was once located just down the road from our property. It was populated by hardy, adventurous folks who made a way for themselves and their families by clearing a spot along the lagoon, building a home and forging a life in a new location.
But Shiloh is now lost, literally removed from the maps. It no longer exists. When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. Residents were bought out and forced to move. Houses were relocated or demolished. Shiloh disappeared into history while the space-age pushed forward into the future.
However... some foundations still can be found in the woods not far away, if you know where to look. There are even cemeteries that remain, whispering the names of individuals and families.
As a tribute to those early adventurers, we have named our place Camp Shiloh. We honor the past, we respect the wild Florida that surrounds us, and we celebrate the future as we watch rocket launches from our porch.
You are welcome to stay on the property while you explore the local communities of New Smyrna and Titusville, relax at beautiful Canaveral National Seashore, attend races in Daytona, visit amusement parks in Orlando... or whatever! It’s up to you. We are a peaceful, safe location from which you can stage your Florida adventure. Come on by. We look forward to hosting you!

Park your van/small RV or pitch your tent on our rural homestead conveniently located 1000 ft off of US Hwy 1. Nearest I-95 exit is 3 miles away. Watch rocket launches, visit nearby beaches, attend NASCAR races, see local communities, relax at Canaveral National Seashore, birdwatch at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, fish Mosquito Lagoon, or visit the amusement parks of Orlando, we are a safe and quiet location from which to stage your adventures. We have two campsites. Site 1 is a nice level, grassy campsite for tent or RV, complete with a fire ring, picnic table, and firewood. Site 2 is the Glamping Greenhouse! We aren't fancy, but are clean, secure, and private. You can come and go as you please, and day-trip all over beautiful central Florida!

This property is called relic ranch because we have actually found a ton of old relics.
the campground is under an ancient canopy of oaks. so youll always have shade. the center of the property is unique to say the least but the campground is nature at its finest.
there is a 2.6 mile nature trail across from the campground to explore.
also there is a boat ramp for fishing about 1/8 mile away. you are welcome to roam over most of the 80 acres. We have goats, cows and chickens as well. All super friendly.

The property is definitely different then most. The site itself is super spacious, and has great tree coverage from some ancient oaks. the site can hold up to an extra 5 tents if neened. There is solar power to the tee pee with a 750w solar inverter connected to two deep cycle batteries. Now to get to the site you have to go through the main busy part of the property (we literally have planes, trains and automobiles and more). But once you get to the site you feel the nature. Also right next to the property about 100 yd from where the property starts there is an entrance to a boat ramp (which has a 2 mi canal that goes to lake Apopka where you can launch a canoe or kayak, or do some fishing), also a 2.6 mi nature trail, and about 100 yd as well there is a 25 mile trail that you can bike, walk or horseback ride. That trail is a part of the Apopka wildlife drive which also starts not far from the property. It's a free nature drive on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays plus holidays. We are around 15 to 20 minutes from a few different springs such as wekiva springs, wekiva Island, Rock springs and Kings landing. We are about 45 minutes from SeaWorld, aquatica, volcano Bay, universal studios and more.

The site is on the back part of our 80 acres. Where the camper is located there is a half mile trail through the forest, across from our driveway there is a 2.6 mile nature trail, a 15 mile biking trail, place to launch a kayak or boat, and we are close to wekiva and rock springs. not to mention a free 15 mile nature drive on the weekends just minutes away. plus we arent far from downtown Mount Dora. There is a primitive campground here too (North Shore Relic Ranch). looking for other stuff to see, look no further. lol in the center of the property there is alot of stuff to see. plane hulls, concert truck, cars, trucks, military truck, cows, goats, chickens, etc. its a unique stay for sure!

~ We do have a chicken coop so you can expect to hear them throughout the day.
~ We are on a dead end road in a rural residential area. Super quiet!

~ If you stay during the month of March, you will adore our lightening bugs!
~ Tons of mature trees so bring your hammocks.

On my trip I ended up having a mechanical issue and was going to be later than the 11am checkout time, she said no problem and to take my time. Aside from occasional noise from a neighbor, Marci's place was quiet. I especially appreciated the outdoor shower and enjoyed overlooking the lake.

The roosters were loud and annoying very early but they apologized and are planning on getting rid of them and for us wasn't "horrible"...for one-night. They gave us an extra dozen eggs for the "trouble"...

We had a great stay! It was very quiet which we enjoyed. The trails are beautiful. There’s a great walk around the lake. It seems they are in transition from old management (KOA) to new management. Didn’t bother us at all. Showers weren’t the cleanest. You could tell the maintenance guy had a lot going on. Overall enjoyed and was good for the price.

The entire property was really amazing, there were lots of campers but it still felt very private overall. The outdoor shower was great and the bathroom was very spacious and well stocked. It was also close to grocery stores and close enough to the downtown area that driving to either was easy. I definitely recommend staying here if you get the chance.

Beth and her family were very friendly and helpful. If you don’t need hookups, it’s a great place to stay. Four acres to explore. Extremely dog friendly. Very affordable. It beats Walmart parking lot by a mile.

Where to go
Blue Spring State Park
Minutes south of DeLand, Blue Spring State Park features a crystal-clear natural spring with refreshing 72-degree water year-round. The spring serves as a winter refuge for hundreds of West Indian manatees, also known as sea cows. Popular water activities in the park include canoe and kayak rentals, snorkeling, swimming, and scuba diving. Or check out guided riverboat cruises along the historic St. Johns River instead. Walking distance from the spring, the park’s campsites accommodate RVs up to 40 feet in length, offering water and electricity hookups, bathhouses, grills, and picnic tables. Cabin rentals with central heating and cooling are available too.
De León Springs State Park
Native Mayaca people who once lived in the area referred to De León Springs State Park as Acuera, meaning “Healing Waters.” It’s best known for its crystal-clear spring waters teeming with fish. But, it’s also an excellent place to cool off during hot and humid Florida summers in a rented kayak or canoe. Explore 22,000 acres of lakes, creeks, and marshes. Or hike scenic nature trails that wind through subtropical and floodplain forests, including a 600-year-old cypress tree, with ample birdwatching and wildlife viewing opportunities near Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge. The park offers oak-shaded picnic tables and grills, accessible restrooms, and an outdoor shower station. Private RV campgrounds are nearby with full facilities as well.
Tomoka State Park
Near Ormond Beach along Florida’s Atlantic Coast, Tomoka State Park is less than an hour northeast of DeLand. The park surrounds the meandering Tomoka River and is known for its diverse ecosystems, rich history, and abundant recreational opportunities. Go fishing along the park’s rivers, streams, and lagoons to reel in black drum, sheepshead, common snook, and spotted sea trout. Each of the 100 campsites offer tent camping and can fit RVs up to 34 feet long and offer full hookups for electricity and water. Other campground amenities include hot showers, picnic tables, and a dump station.
When to go
For Hipcampers keen to observe manatees in their natural environment, the mild winters in DeLand are an excellent time of year to visit. Daytime temperatures in winter typically range between the 60s and 70s—dipping into the 40s overnight. Spring and fall provide pleasant weather as well, with mild temperatures and low humidity which are great for hiking and observing migratory birds passing through Florida.
