We have 3 acres right in the middle of town in New Smyrna Beach. It's a quiet setting behind Sacred Heart church, sandwiched between a large open field and the railroad tracks far in back behind trees. We've worked hard to make it a cozy retreat - like setting where people can spend a few nights in an affordable manner just 5 minutes from the beaches and fun New Smyrna Beach attractions. Biking, boating, sunning, fishing, paddle-boarding, kayaking, eating... all within a few minutes of your quiet retreat. Our house is on the property but it's 200 feet away behind trees/bushes. It's a 100 year old house built from the wood of a church in NSB. Lifted up on a Coquina rock wall it is quite unique. There is a large secluded area where your dogs can be run. We have dogs too but there's plenty of room to share.

Don't stay in the middle of another loud, packed campground. Enjoy the peace and quiet that only comes from staying in a quiet rural setting with absolutely NO other campers onsite. At Koblasz Farms, the value is in the privacy. You get the property to yourself, guaranteed. Walk with the animals. Talk with the animals. Koblasz Farms is one of the few farms remaining in Seminole County, and the only breeder of registered Scottish Highland Cattle. These beautiful girls are part of the oldest registered breed of cattle in the world. They will take your breath away as they mingle in your surrounding pastures. If you are lucky, you may even see one born. Few things in life are cuter than Scottish Highland calves, unless you ask the mini-donkeys or the goats that will do their best to convince you otherwise. Feeding experiences available. And wildlife abounds. You can expect to see deer, wild turkeys, eagles, hawks, cormorants, cranes, turtles, and other wildlife. We are conveniently located 40 minutes from Disney, an hour from Daytona Beach, 50 minutes from New Smyrna Beach, and 20 minutes from downtown Orlando. This is the parking lot of my commercial building. It is fairly private, with no traffic other than 2 employees at the building. It's more of a staging location for something else you're looking to do, rather than a camping venue. I listed the site here because I realized there are no RV campsites within about a 20 mile radius. Why might you want to camp here, rather than Disney's Fort Wilderness? -You're visiting family in the area and need a place to stay and park your RV -You want to visit the many attractions in the Orlando area, but not pay tourist prices and camp in the middle of it all -Maybe you're waiting for parts or service at one of the many RV dealers in the area -You need a short stop for water, power and provisions What do you get with your camping adventure here? -Plenty of space, a 100'x40' concrete slab that you can use as you need. The parking lot is on a slight, 1-2 degree, cross-slope. -Parking for up to 10 vehicles -30A RV outlet and 110V power -City water supply

The Roots ReTREEt is situated on 4.5 acres tucked away in Old Florida of Volusia County. The name comes from the roots that stretch throughout the property with the TREEs providing a sanctuary for all who come to rest. Our little piece of paradise has so much serenity with a fully wooded landscape while its only miles from fun things to do: surfing, biking, hiking, boating, fishing, paddling, swimming and more! If you're lucky enough to experience the wildlife that shows up regularly, you could have the pleasure of seeing wild animals like: turkeys, deer, pigs, armadillos, hawks, dragonflies, butterflies, turtles and many others. We're proud of our oasis and thrilled to share it with folks that appreciate protected land as much as we do. The land is part of the resource corridor, which is protected wetlands and it is environmentally sensitive and ecologically significant. This means that it is an ecosystem that supports the wildlife and cannot be touched or manipulated in any way. Lucy's place is our community space for you and your family's use. It has lots of seating, plenty of places to relax, a grill and outdoor sink for cooking, and a gas fireplace to enjoy the scenery at night. A hot tub awaits you, which is open to the stars and great after a day of lounging or fun out and about. We are close to everything but far enough for you to relax after a fun day of exploring. Daytona Speedway is a 30 min. drive. You can be on the beach in 20 min. or putting your boat/jet skis in the river in 15 min. We'd be honored to share what we consider to be heaven on earth with you. :-)

Our farm is off the beaten path surrounded by mossy oaks and lots of shade. If you are having a rough week, load up and relax on our working farm filled with miniature horses and numerous other adorable miniature animals that will be sure to put a smile on your face. Pack your camping gear, tents, vans or RVs and find peace away from the traffic and everyday stress. There is plenty of nature and you can take a long stroll to clear your head. Mount Dora is across the main street less than 5 minutes away. Our antique town is an amazing experience to explore with lots of history and complete with quaint shops and restaurants, boating and lots of things to do. Rennigers Antique Center is located right up the street (less than 5 minutes away) for some great picking. We are conveniently close to the Central Florida Attractions and the beach on both east and west coasts within an hour drivep. A few Campers favorite places to visit are Mount Dora Bike Trail - 2.6 miles, Kelly Park - 11 miles and Kings Landing 12 miles from farm. We offer youth day camps on various dates, pony rides and a tour of our farm animals for an additional fee. Reservations required in advance due to the other activities we have going on. In 2007, we had no idea where this adventure was going to take us. Our small urban farm was sharing our miniature animals with assisted living facilities and Neulife, where we have 3 miniature horses that live on their property. Little by little we have evolved into more of a need to share with the community and help others with the relaxing qualities our farm and animals have to offer, we want to be able to share and better educate with hands on experiences, teach kindness, patience, confidence and help others to be the best they can be. Thank you for your time and if you visit, share a review! Reviews are the best way for us to better ourselves and your experience. Have a great stay!

Dogs are ok but have to be cleaned after and be on the leash. Please no loud noise after the dark, no drugs or heavy drinking. Our guests love staying with us " We enjoyed our stay at Roxie’s place. Really great location close to the beach and grocery stores and restaurants, yet it is still in a quiet place just off the beaten path. Roxie is a wonderful host who met us upon arrival and departure to make sure all was going well. She even gave us some amazing fresh eggs from her chickens that roam freely on the land. (Be prepared for a lot of rooster crowing EARLY in the mornings). Our campsite was level and had water and electric. It was not too close to the other campers who were there and we had plenty of privacy. Star gazing was awesome! Highly recommend."

Tennis court, pickle ball courts and a play ground is across the street. 20-30 min to Daytona Beach or historic St.Augustine. Spaces for the boats are available also. No sewage disposal. There is a dog on the property.

DeLand camping guide

Where to go

Blue Spring State Park

Minutes south of DeLand, Blue Spring State Park features a crystal-clear natural spring with refreshing 72-degree water year-round. The spring serves as a winter refuge for hundreds of West Indian manatees, also known as sea cows. Popular water activities in the park include canoe and kayak rentals, snorkeling, swimming, and scuba diving. Or check out guided riverboat cruises along the historic St. Johns River instead. Walking distance from the spring, the park’s campsites accommodate RVs up to 40 feet in length, offering water and electricity hookups, bathhouses, grills, and picnic tables. Cabin rentals with central heating and cooling are available too.

De León Springs State Park

Native Mayaca people who once lived in the area referred to De León Springs State Park as Acuera, meaning “Healing Waters.” It’s best known for its crystal-clear spring waters teeming with fish. But, it’s also an excellent place to cool off during hot and humid Florida summers in a rented kayak or canoe. Explore 22,000 acres of lakes, creeks, and marshes. Or hike scenic nature trails that wind through subtropical and floodplain forests, including a 600-year-old cypress tree, with ample birdwatching and wildlife viewing opportunities near Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge. The park offers oak-shaded picnic tables and grills, accessible restrooms, and an outdoor shower station. Private RV campgrounds are nearby with full facilities as well.

Tomoka State Park

Near Ormond Beach along Florida’s Atlantic Coast, Tomoka State Park is less than an hour northeast of DeLand. The park surrounds the meandering Tomoka River and is known for its diverse ecosystems, rich history, and abundant recreational opportunities. Go fishing along the park’s rivers, streams, and lagoons to reel in black drum, sheepshead, common snook, and spotted sea trout. Each of the 100 campsites offer tent camping and can fit RVs up to 34 feet long and offer full hookups for electricity and water. Other campground amenities include hot showers, picnic tables, and a dump station.

When to go

For Hipcampers keen to observe manatees in their natural environment, the mild winters in DeLand are an excellent time of year to visit. Daytime temperatures in winter typically range between the 60s and 70s—dipping into the 40s overnight. Spring and fall provide pleasant weather as well, with mild temperatures and low humidity which are great for hiking and observing migratory birds passing through Florida.
