Easy to find. Central to everything we wanted to do/see. As a rail fan having a site along the tracks was a plus. David was great.

Very nice spot on a little pond with interesting birds to watch. Nice gadgets on the premises like swings and various lawn furniture. Good place to relax. Very friendly host. Definitely highly recommendable. Power, water on the site and great outdoor shower. Thank you for having us🙋🏼‍♀️

This is a very neat little site down on the side of the lake. There is an abundance of birds to take pictures of or just enjoy. The host was very cordial.

Easy access, plenty of room - with restrooms. Adjacent to train tracks, but they weren’t disruptive. Great price point - would stay here again.

Loved this eclectic, beautiful spot! Wes met us upon arrival and was very welcoming. The site was nice and private with a view of the pond and a family of cranes that visited each evening. We found great hiking and biking trails within minutes, and we tried to watch a SpaceX launch but it kept getting scrubbed. Wes and Tanya were very responsive, offered fire wood for our campfire, and provided a place for trash and recycling. Definitely 5 stars and hope to return!

Weekend Trip to At Shady Oaks

Our stay at Site 420 – Clermont / At Shady Oaks was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we reached out to Tanya and Wes, they were incredibly accommodating and welcoming. We had a few questions before booking, and they responded quickly, making the process seamless. They even allowed us to check in early, which was a huge plus for our family! The site itself was perfect—nestled in a peaceful, natural setting with a beautiful view of the lake. We were lucky enough to see large herons with their babies right next to us, adding to the magic of the experience. It was the perfect spot to relax and soak in nature, all while being just a short drive from Mount Dora, which made for a great day trip. Tanya and Wes went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their communication was fantastic, from providing clear directions to checking in on us to make sure we were comfortable. It’s clear they take great care in maintaining their property and making their guests feel at home. We truly appreciate their kindness and hospitality and can’t wait to return. If you’re looking for a peaceful and well-maintained spot to camp with wonderful hosts, this is the place! Thank you, Tanya and Wes, for an amazing stay!

Weekend Trip to North Shore Relic Ranch tee pee

There was a slight change to the campsite. But, overall 10/10 experience. Beautiful campsites with plenty of tree coverage. Lots of birds and even heard a few owls! We were extremely surprised by how clean the porta John’s were and no raccoon visitors either! Highly recommend this place! Very welcoming host, quiet site, plenty of space for all of us. Cannot wait to come back!

We loved camping on site 420. We overlooked the water and enjoyed the family of cranes and other wildlife. The directions to get there were easy to follow and Wes was great to show us around and gave extra information about where places were in town when we asked. Tanya and Wes are great hosts and their place was great! I would recommend this spot to everyone!

Was nice place to stay. I stayed a few nights seen 2 rockets shoot off. You are close to the space center and to cocoa beach. But it's just outside the busy area so you don't hear traffic or any other noise. Has water hookup which is nice. Few bugs but nothing unexpected or overwhelming. I would definitely stay another night. Also a plus there is a home in the circle with art cars and a fun lit up house at night. Everyone I met including the host were very nice. I might try to move to the area I was very impressed. Thank you again.

1 night at Space Coast Camping

It’s a really basic parking spot, but the price is right for what it is. We were able to park no problem and enjoyed our chat with the other camper there. There is a sharp corner coming in to the neighborhood, but with a swing wide our truck and 32’ camper made the corner. The ground is pretty uneven so bring your levelers and chocks. We didn’t use the spigot since we had water on board so I can’t speak to that. The best part was how close it was to the launch site! We went to a nearby bridge to watch the first launch of the night around 7pm; and we didn’t realize there was a second one happening the same night at 10:30 until our whole camper started shaking with the noise! We ran outside and caught the tail end of the launch from right outside our door. So cool! The biggest downside of the site is the bug situation- there’s a water filled trench at the rear of the property and I’m sure it produces lots of bugs. Additionally there were lots of stray cats around and therefore cat poo in the sandy spots. Overall we were happy with the spot for one night and the price!

Good site, very well located for Kennedy Space Center and nice price. Be ready for small bugs! We feel the ground shaking when there is a rocket launch! Not a great cell coverage but it works. Host is really responsive and helpful.

Shady Oaks is a wonderful setting for camping. Lots of wildlife to observe around their pond and property. You are in the country, but still close to Clermont and Winter Garden for restaurants, etc. Wes and Tanya truly enjoy sharing their property with others.

When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. Residents were bought out and forced to move. Houses were relocated or demolished. Shiloh disappeared into history while the space-age pushed forward into the future. However... some foundations still can be found in the woods not far away, if you know where to look. There are even cemeteries that remain, whispering the names of individuals and families. There is solar power to the tee pee with a 750w solar inverter connected to two deep cycle batteries. Now to get to the site you have to go through the main busy part of the property (we literally have planes, trains and automobiles and more). But once you get to the site you feel the nature. Also right next to the property about 100 yd from where the property starts there is an entrance to a boat ramp (which has a 2 mi canal that goes to lake Apopka where you can launch a canoe or kayak, or do some fishing), also a 2.6 mi nature trail, and about 100 yd as well there is a 25 mile trail that you can bike, walk or horseback ride. That trail is a part of the Apopka wildlife drive which also starts not far from the property. It's a free nature drive on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays plus holidays. We are around 15 to 20 minutes from a few different springs such as wekiva springs, wekiva Island, Rock springs and Kings landing. We offer 30 and 50amp sites, there is a bath house with full bathrooms and laundry, a Community Kitchen you are welcome to use, a screened in Pavilion for meals or hanging out, a POOL! (yes you read that right!) and a Clubhouse with couches, games and all! We have a few rentals (a cabin and RV) and we are working on getting more. We do have wifi on the property, and we also offer golf cart rentals. If you have horses, you'll love coming to Black Horse. We are surrounded by countless trails through the forest with the trail heads sitting right on property, two barns for horses, many outdoor stalls and paddocks, wash racks, and an extra large riding arena. There is world class fishing nearby at the St. John's River and we are right near many beautiful springs - which, if you have never spent time in a natural spring you will absolutely want to check that out! Kayaking, tubing, swimming galore in crystal clear waters. We are a 20 minute drive from the Villages which offers shopping, dining, and activities, as well as 20 minutes to historic Mount Dora which is a beautiful artsy downtown village. We are 1 hour from Daytona & New Smyrna, 1 hour from Orlando (Disney anyone?). There is plenty to do on the ranch and nearby the ranch. You will have a blast. We'll see you by the campfire!

Our farm is off the beaten path surrounded by mossy oaks and lots of shade. If you are having a rough week, load up and relax on our working farm filled with miniature horses and numerous other adorable miniature animals that will be sure to put a smile on your face. Pack your camping gear, tents, vans or RVs and find peace away from the traffic and everyday stress. There is plenty of nature and you can take a long stroll to clear your head. Mount Dora is across the main street less than 5 minutes away. Our antique town is an amazing experience to explore with lots of history and complete with quaint shops and restaurants, boating and lots of things to do. Rennigers Antique Center is located right up the street (less than 5 minutes away) for some great picking. We are conveniently close to the Central Florida Attractions and the beach on both east and west coasts within an hour drivep. A few Campers favorite places to visit are Mount Dora Bike Trail - 2.6 miles, Kelly Park - 11 miles and Kings Landing 12 miles from farm. We offer youth day camps on various dates, pony rides and a tour of our farm animals for an additional fee. Reservations required in advance due to the other activities we have going on. In 2007, we had no idea where this adventure was going to take us. Our small urban farm was sharing our miniature animals with assisted living facilities and Neulife, where we have 3 miniature horses that live on their property. Little by little we have evolved into more of a need to share with the community and help others with the relaxing qualities our farm and animals have to offer, we want to be able to share and better educate with hands on experiences, teach kindness, patience, confidence and help others to be the best they can be. About a mile to the Indian River, about five miles to the Banana River (and Kelly Park for windsurfing or launching boats) about 12 miles to Port Canaveral and the beach at Jetty Park or better yet (my fav) Cherie Down Park. CDP is great for surfing, beach fishing, viewing rocket launches or just beach walking. While there please visit Port Canaveral's host of bars and restaurants. Also, about 25 miles to the Space Center. PLEASE! Best way onto property is go west on Canaveral Groves Blvd 1/2 mi. to Alan Sheppard, left and left again at 1st. street (Atlanta St.). Back the 1/2 mi. to Knoxville Ave where the trailer/camper entrance lines up directly with Atlanta St. GPS does NOT know if you are pulling a camper/trailer...LOL!
