Weekend Trip to Cabins in W County Sonoma Redwoods

It was an awesome experience. It had everything we need. Im very happy I booked this place. Stephen was incredible he helped us a lot and answer all our question. I highly recommend this amazing spot. It was the first time using this app but I am glad I found the cazita to stay there and chill with my family.

Weekend Trip to Wackalulu's Wonderland

We loved the space! It was lovely, romantic, cozy and wacky! Lynda met us, showed us around the property - a cozy little boat house cabin, showers, and a well stocked kitchen. They'd even prepped the fire pit for us so all we had to do was light it! The late night lighting was romantic and we really enjoyed ourselves. We'll be back for sure.

2 nights at Kings Mountain Camp w/ ocean views

This place is amazing!!! We stayed in the apartment and had an awesome view of the ocean although it’s mostly just clouds but it’s beautiful! Especially during sunset. The whole apartment was super clean and nice, and had an amazing kitchen with all of the essentials for cooking. She also gave us 4 eggs from the chickens on the farms, as well as a fire starting kit to make a bonfire right outside of the apartment. The outdoor area is super nice with a hot tub, amazing view, seating area and fire pit. Would definitely recommend this place!!!! Sana was also super helpful and responsive.

2 nights at Wackalulu's Wonderland

My husband and I (and our dog!) celebrated our 30th anniversary at the Cozy Cabin. Lynda and Rich have created an adorable creekside oasis! From hanging out on the comfortable porch to walking our dog around the creek, in the woods and to the skatepark to our nightly activity of watching the bats swooping over the creek with a warm fire. The cabin has everything you need and the bed is very comfortable. We highly recommend The Cozy Cabin and we'll be back!

Weekend Trip to Redwoods Camp Retreat

We loved the area and the property where we enjoyed lovely natural surroundings (trees and birds) and a lot of privacy. Paul and Maria warmly welcomed us and communicated with us throughout our stay. From other reviews, we knew about the bathroom situation and made it work. It was very manageable. The camper is both pleasant and practical. We would recommend this experience to anyone who is looking for a retreat from the hustle bustle. We loved spending time on the deck listening to the birds and the wind, and were even able to do some morning yoga.

Weekend Trip to Wackalulu's Wonderland

We booked this place for a long weekend getaway and the experience was beyond our expectations! Lynda and Rich put their hearts and souls into creating this beautiful paradise! We loved everything: the boathouse decorations, sitting by the fire pit and enjoying the tranquility of the surroundings. Looking forward to coming back! Till next time :)

Wackalulu’s is the kind of place that makes you smile without ever having to try too hard. It’s very comfortable, thoughtfully designed, eccentric, private, and surrounded by nature—like a bougie mix of Swiss Family Robinson meets Pirates of the Caribbean. The hosts are genuinely friendly and fun, if you are in the mood for a chat, but they also have their own space if you are in the mood to be alone. The thoughtful touches elevate the experience. The location is ideal: a short walk to a genuinely healthy and delicious brunch spot and an easy drive (or leisurely stroll) to the Russian River. One of those rare places that's both relaxing and slightly adventurous, and unique but not gimmicky. Spend time wondering the yard and all there is to look at. Would absolutely return.

The Blackberry Farm is a very nice place to stay. It is quiet, beautiful and a great location, walking distance to Bolinas. Best for tent camping, but we were just fine sleeping in our van. The facilities are very nice, exceeding our expectations. The host is friendly and helpful. We would love to stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Moon Bear Lodge

It was our 1 year wedding anniversary and we had a wonderful stay! Just being in the treehouse was incredible, with all the windows and skylights you feel like a bird in it's nest. The deck with the shower and hot tub has an awesome view. The hiking was great just walking straight behind the treehouse and following the fire trails. We has awesome food in Occidental (Howard's Station and Hazel in particular) and enjoyed some nice time swimming in the Russian river. Also I forgot a bottle of medication and the host sent it back to my house, so nice of them!! 10/10 would recommend!

Weekend Trip to Two Rock Country Farm Stay

Great RV. We enjoyed the views, the animals, and playing in the tall grasses. The RV itself is on a gravel lot, which we didn't expect, but we found some shade and soft grass in the back of the RV which made for a nice spot for hanging out. Plus the pond and picnic area with fairy lights were delightful. Thank you Debra!

Weekend Trip to Tunitas Beach Overlook - Airstream

We wanted a quiet, peaceful, and gorgeous experience and that’s what we got! The views were spectacular when the fog wasn’t rolling in and the camper was quaint and cozy! The camper had all the appropriate amenities and the directions were super easy (we do camp regularly in our own camper so it wasn’t unfamiliar). The location was easy to find, communication was great, and it was easily accessible to Half Moon Bay for groceries, etc!

To reach this tent it was bit of walk but just treat is like short hike. the tent was clean and cozy. it was so private as it is not closed to other tent. if you are lucky you can see the ocean (when it is no foggy) and sunset was beautiful. The family farm and residence were established during the late 1970s on the site of the historic Peter’s Dairy Ranch. The original farmhouse dates back to the late 19th century and survived the great 1906 earthquake. Today, the 7-acre farm is being restored to sustainably support fruit orchards, cottage flower and kitchen gardens, honey bees, a boisterous flock of chickens, and naughty shetland sheep. Our self-serve farmstand attached to our barn has seasonal flowers, organic eggs, heirloom fruit, and local goods from the farm. Our property is the perfect rustic getaway for backpackers and outdoor enthusiasts. You’ll be surrounded by farm/ranch life: chickens clucking, roosters crowing, bees buzzing, and sheep bleating. We also have active nighttime wildlife: coyotes howling, raccoons foraging, owls hooting, etc. Bring earplugs if nature sounds are too much for you. We offer 4 walk-in tent sites that allow you to immerse yourself in nature. We welcome well-behaved pets ON LEASH that won’t harass the chickens, cats, sheep, other campers, or residents. Unruly pets and their campers will be asked to leave. No refund. Limit: 1 dog per site. Bike Enthusiast love the back roads out here and the Biggest Attraction Is… Wait for it…. Wineries are everywhere! During the summer there are several Music Venues close by too. The Rio Nido Roadhouse has outdoor music on the weekends. Rockin the River is every other Thursday in Guerneville. The Monte Rio Variety Show just celebrated it 111th year to a sold-out crowd. Nestled in the redwoods, we have two units. The "Cazita" is a fully-equipped studio cabin with full kitchen and bathroom. The "Redwood Nest" is a standalone tiny cabin/sleeping space with no cooking facilities. There is an attached composting toilet and access to an outdoor open air shower. Both offer quiet seclusion and easy access to all that the lower Russian River Valley has to offer. We are close to both the Russian River, Austin Creek, the coast beaches (15 minute drive), stellar cycling routes and many amazing trails for hiking. Our south-facing property receives full sun unlike many redwood locations. The "Fairy Rings" have been trimmed up for fire prevention and offer great views and opportunities to appreciate the magnificence of these Redwood giants that we love. There is great coffee and Amazing pastries at Gold Coast just a mile away in Duncan's Mills. Jenner is only about 15 mins away with Cafe Aquatica and River's End Restaurant (reservations needed-SO good and special) The "Cazita" sleeps up to 3 guests in a king bed and sofa sleeper and has a bathroom with flush toilet and shower. It has a fully-equipped kitchen with everything needed to prepare your meals. The "Redwood Nest" is a standalone room featuring a queen bed and bay window looking out onto a redwood stand. There is a composting toilet in the attached outhouse and an outdoor sink. There are no cooking facilities and no cooking allowed. The redwood nest is really perfect for a couple looking to eat out and then sleep, fully at peace beneath the Redwoods. Please note that there is a friendly dog on the property (although we do not accept pet guests). This property is ideal for quiet people who want to get away into nature, enjoy the outdoors. It is dark at night- we do not have exterior lighting except for string lights and provided flashlights. Quiet hours begin at 9:30pm. There is absolutely no smoking of any kind permitted on the property. Although some reviews mention a hot tub, it is no longer available to guests (sorry, maintenance issues)

Ideal for a romantic getaway near the river, a weekend in wine country with friends, or some quality time in the redwoods with the family. Peacefully secluded among the redwood trees, neighboring the exclusive Bohemian Grove, and just blocks from downtown Monte Rio and the Russian River is Redwood GrOOve. This property contains 2 separate units each with their own updated kitchen and bath. ** It will only be rented to one party at a time. A guest can enjoy only the main flat or take advantage of both during their stay (for an additional fee). The main house is 2 bedrooms with a cozy living room and an updated kitchen and bathroom with a claw foot tub. There is a queen bed in one room, and a day bed in the other room that can be used as 2 twin beds or a full king. It sleeps 4. Downstairs is a large studio with it's own functional kitchen and updated bath. There is also a semi-private additional office nook with a futon and a desk. Off the office nook is a private balcony sitting amongst the redwoods. It also sleeps 4. (please call for pricing) (The main house can be rented separately or together with the lower flat, but guests at Bohemian GrOOve will enjoy private use of the whole property) Enjoy preparing your own home cooked meals in the stocked kitchens, but there are also good options within walking distance for dining out. Bartlett's market has many essentials and is just a few minutes away. On the weekends, Light Wave in Monte Rio has fabulous breakfast selections and freshly baked goodies. Also, close-by is, The Highland Dells, an excellent choice for German cuisine overlooking the river. The Village Inn also has a friendly staff, a well-stocked bar, and is river front. If you don’t mind driving a few miles, the town of Guerneville is only 5 miles away, Occidental is about 7 miles, and the Pacific Ocean is only 10 miles from the home; All have excellent choices for dining out. Enjoy the days lounging/boating at the Russian River (Monte Rio beach is just blocks away) and in the evening enjoy soaking in the hot tub under the redwood shaded stars. Day trips are easy to Bodega Bay, hikes in Armstrong Woods, the Ocean, or boating on Lake Sonoma. The Northwood Golf course is also very close and is open to the public. For wine enthusiasts, the closest winery is less than 10 miles away (or champagne at Korbel). Just a bit further is the turnoff to Westside/Dry Creek Road, a beautiful, winding country road with picturesque vineyards following the river up into Healdsburg. Your world-class wine tour awaits!
