It took about 2.5 miles of off roading to get to the campsite. We felt like we had the site completely to ourselves. However, there were loud cars and music from neighbors that went all night. Before leaving we picked up some trash from other campers. No major views from the camp site but the ride in was beautiful.

Had a great stay with a group of 9 with 3 dogs. The kitchen had more equipment than we could have used and the shade was a lifesaver with the weekend heatwave. The property managers were around a few times throughout the weekend but it felt very private except for that. Communication with Rebecca was prompt, instructions were clear and we took advantage of the tip to check out the Junction Park swim hole. Would definitely stay here again!

I loved the remote feeling and amazing bird watching from CAM'S PLACE. We sat in our chairs for hours just watching the birds circle above us. The campfire was great as it featured a cooking grill and the wild, yet comfortable bathroom was an added bonus!

The area was secluded and had a lot of shrubberies and trees surrounding the area for kids to explore! We enjoyed the privacy and truly immersing ourselves in nature (there is no running water). The toilet pit was actually very comfortable and private. There was also a fire pen that allowed us to grill meat, make s’mores, and warm up breakfast burritos. We also got a small taste of “off-roading” feel of driving as the road was not paved part of the way going in.

This was a nice, private, quiet campground. The pit toilet was excellent, and dry TP provided! There was a random stop sign and (empty) trash bins around the site, which took away from nature a bit. A bit of trash around the site too. There were not adequate access instructions - the site is about 2.5 miles on an eroded gravel road. Thank goodness my car has four wheel drive, otherwise I might not have made it. There was no photo of the site’s gate, and Hip-camp gave me a nearby but not exact address, which meant I had to drive back and forth and finally call the host. I was going to go home, but thankfully Jessica had a quick response time. More detail on the Hipcamp listing and signage would really help.

Big beautiful, private, and wonderful spot to enjoy nature and make use of the phenomenal outdoor kitchen area. Very accommodating to all styles of camping. There are many interesting special spots and aesthetic findings to explore hiking around the land. Highly recommend and will be back!

Place was pretty and quiet and we had it mostly to ourselves. Walked about a mile down the rough old road into some pretty cool forest, and saw some salamanders in the water. Also, saw the little pigs that run around the mountain.

The property is awesome! I’ve stayed there several times now and the charm keeps me coming back! I also find new things to fall in love with each time I’m there. The outdoor shower is by far my favorite part of the property, it’s worth the dive alone! Not to mention my dogs can run around and have plenty of room to enjoy themselves. The outdoor kitchen has everything a hip camper could need this last time. I got to meet Rebecca and she was so kind! I’d book this place every night if I could!

4 nights at Private Sunny Redwoods Retreat

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The land is beautiful and secluded. The camping spot is enormous and peaceful, and the outdoor kitchen is an added perk. I highly recommend this opportunity. And if you are lucky enough to have the chance to stay here, Jake is the coolest guy on the planet.

We brought kids to this place for a camping night over the weekend. This is a private lot near water with a private dock. It was clean and has neat backyard with firepit. It has some free wood to set up the campfire. Host David was very responsive on all the questions. We brought a canoe with us and enjoyed the beautiful views over the rivers.

this spot is everything and more! my buddy and i enjoyed this entire spot with his dogs. we absolutely love this place for small gatherings of friends. the hosts were so accommodating and kind. even coming to meet us at the site to jump our car when it died. absolutely magic in the mountain here!!

This place was magical! So much for kids and adults to do around the place. Swings, walks, a redwood tree climbing gym for kids/adults - just walking around enjoying at all the little things and reading benches, and art others left for you to enjoy. A 4-wheel drive vehicle is a must and print your instructions so the no wifi doesn’t have you scrambling. Kitchen is well stocked with what you need to cook with a few propane stoves. Bring your lanterns if kitchen lights don’t work and maybe extra AA batteries if you want to power the light strings strung around. It’s cold at night (it’s early Nov. now) so pack your warm sleep stuff and enjoy the owls. Leave the place clean for the next batch of happy campers. We loved this experience and will come back with family as there’s plenty space. Thanks for a memorable weekend, Rebecca!
