Redwood Paradise is a magical place! The host, her son and dog were amazing and incredibly kind and welcoming. The mix of serene redwoods, classical piano music played by Marshall (host’s son), and Peruvian coffee in the morning make the ambience for this retreat truly unique. We were at site 2 which had beautiful evening lighting coming in just after 6 PM. Make sure your tent faces the west :) We highly recommend Redwood Paradise!

Weekend Trip to BANKS RANCH IN THE REDWOODS

The Space: The Creek Site was a short drive down from the main property. We were able to make it down and back in our 24' RV with no issue. The campsite itself is open, level, and spacious. It overlooks the creek on a bit of a cliff and is close enough to hear the peaceful sound of running water all day and night. It is also just a short walk down to splash around in the water. It felt very private to be only surrounded by nature and the redwood forest. The People: Doug and Denise are awesome! We also got to meet the horses, chickens, and dogs. My three girls LOVED getting to help June with feeding the horses and even helping clean up the pen a little. They were so welcoming and friendly! We cannot wait to come back and visit!

Weekend Trip to Delta Respite

I had a lovely weekend on a solo trip with my dog. Ceci & Steve are so friendly, the dogs, chickens, and pot-belly pig are delightful, and the cabin is super clean and cozy! Perfect spot for rest and relaxation. I took walks at sunset, read books, watched birds, painted, and soaked in the claw foot tub! Hoping i can return in the Fall 🙂

We loved our stay in Sam and Alex! Gordon and Roni are amazing host, we felt welcomed before even stepping onto the property. Their property is beautiful and filled with warmed! Our trip to California was amazing and a great break from our busy city lives. I highly recommend this place!!

This was our 2nd trip to the Meadows. Very rustic. it is quiet and very relaxing. Close to town so walking is very doable. we had a good dinner at Peters Steak House, it was good, not excellent. However the waitress was a lot of fun and we enjoyed our experience. Juat know when camping at the meadows, the only amentie is the outhouswe.

2 nights at BANKS RANCH IN THE REDWOODS

This is easily one of my all-time fave Hipcamps. Tucked away in a forest with a private creek, it doesn’t get much better. The property spans about 40 acres of beautiful, wooded land that made us feel like we were deep in the backcountry—yet it's easy to get to and not too far from Santa Cruz proper (the hosts provided impeccable directions prior to our arrival). The creek was the perfect place to relax and recharge. Once our hosts showed us to our site, we didn’t see or hear another soul—just how we like it when we camp. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and seemed genuinely happy to share their stunning piece of land with us. Tip: They aren't exaggerating when they say their water is delicious--make sure to get some!

1 night at Paradise Valley Cattle Company

A very sweet overnight camping experience. Very quiet despite being in a neighborhood. The little cow was adorable and his mooing was quiet and infrequent. This IS in a neighborhood, within sight of homes so if you're looking for something totally secluded this isn't it, but I found the stay very relaxing/easy.

We are a 5 acre property and home surrounded by tall redwood and oak trees. Very green and lots of shade. These are the amenities/facilities you will have free access to: Pool, Pool chairs and umbrellas, Deck area with sunset view, Trampolines, and hammocks. There is not cooking allowed by or at any of the common areas, due to flies and critters. Cooking and eating is only allowed by your sites and not in any common areas: Hammocks, Trampolines, Pool Area, tables, sink, and deck please follow this rule because we want to prevent our shared areas to be fly and bug infested. We are still working on ridding the flies and cleaning. (please try to bring prepackaged food or something easy. If anything you can drive 10 minutes to nearby food and grocery). In the past we let people cook and eat around the pool but now our whole property is fly infested and I find scattered leftovers on the ground. Thanks for understanding. THERE IS A 1-2 MINUTE HIKE TO THE CAMPSITES 1-5! Poolside campsites are closer to the parking and are bigger. CHECK OUT OUR NEW LODGING: This property is my home that I live in with my 2 kids. It is a rustic and homey vibe, definitely not a hotel. We want you to come knowing what to expect. Our property offers a pool, and trampolines for the kids. We have a deck patio area that overlooks an amazing view of the redwood forest. Most of our guests are those that come from foreign countries and they all LOVE the property. I love leaving a great impression of our area. CAMPGROUND GUIDELINES Pack out your trash. Rinse feet before using the pool. No pool toys or floaties. Always supervise kids.
