Treat yourself to a quiet getaway for one at this cozy, clean and comfortable cabin on our rural farm, between two rivers, on Sherman Island. Located in the eastern San Francisco Bay Area at the confluence of the San Joaquin River, Sacramento River, and the eastern terminus of San Francisco Bay, Sherman Island is known for its wildlife, sunrises, and sunsets, and its dark sky for stargazing opportunities.
The property is surrounded by alfalfa fields, grazing cattle, sheep, and a wildland habitat populated with migratory and native birds, animals, and plants.
The one-room cabin has a bed and clawfoot bathtub with hot water offering a peaceful escape on our 5-acre tree-lined farm. Here you can listen to birdsong instead of the sounds of the city. This is an ideal cabin for birdwatchers, writers, plein air painters, nature photographers, stargazing, windsurfers/kiteboarders, meditation, or some stress-free, peaceful reset time.
The private cottage has a refrigerator, microwave, compostable dinnerware, drinking water, and a coffeemaker with coffee. It is air-conditioned in summer and heated in winter.
Pets are welcome and free to enjoy being off-leash in the cabin's fenced yard. The hosts raise free-range chickens and bees on their farm and also conduct a nonprofit rescue and hospice for senior pets.

Each tent is perched on a sturdy wooden platform and features a fully furnished deck, providing a cozy space to relax and soak in the breathtaking ocean (Half Moon Bay views) and forest views (Kings Mountain).
All tents include a mini fridge and a stove, ideal for light cooking, intimate fireside storytelling, and warmth during cool days.
We suggest you bring easy-to-prep food, drinks, warm clothes, hiking shoes, and a beanie, as it can get chilly without notice. Your designated parking space is a 6-minute walk from the campsite (downhill on arrival, then back uphill (steep) in the forest), so we recommend traveling light.
Our campsite is nestled within the same property as our charming little farm.
Our goats roam the land all day and may visit you for pets and nuzzles. They are gentle, but please do not feed or let them inside the tent.
Recharge from the day with a hot shower. Grab your fresh towels from your tent and go to your outdoor allocated bathhouses, where you’ll find an indoor shower and well-appointed restrooms. They are nicely lit and stocked with bath products.
A sink area is available for dish clean-up, a bbq/picnic area, fire pit & cedar wood hot tub (to be booked separately).

What a paradise! Lounging in that cedar hot under a glorious oak tree, gazing out over the mountains is one of the most tranquil experiences of my life. Our yurt and the whole campground were the perfect blend of indoor-outdoor living. My five-year-old daughter had a blast! Mathilda was an outstanding host. We can’t wait to come back!

The Vibe & Views:
If you are looking for that authentic, peaceful ranch vibe, this is it. Positioned beautifully in Livermore, the property offers some of the most breathtaking sunrise and sunset views you could ever ask for. Watching the sun dip below the hills in the evening and waking up to the morning glow over the ranch was incredibly peaceful and a total highlight of our trip.
The Glamping Domes:
The accommodation itself is top-notch. The glamping domes are beautifully designed, immaculate, and offer the perfect blend of modern comfort and a unique outdoor experience. They are cozy, spacious, and provide a fantastic front-row seat to the surrounding nature without sacrificing any luxury.
The Hosts:
Jim and Amy are phenomenal hosts. Communication was seamless right from the beginning. They were proactive, incredibly welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay while perfectly respecting our privacy.
We absolutely loved our time here and cannot recommend Jim and Amy’s place enough. We will definitely be back!

We loved camping on Shelly's glamping tent. Hey property was private open and spacious. She left info about the different types of wildlife and plants which we appreciated as we brought our cars as they are quite adventurous. It did get cold at night but there were plenty of blankets.

Our family had a great 4th of July camping trip with 3 other families at Blooming Echo. There’s so much land and lots to explore. We loved the stocked kitchen and compost toilets! And the kids had fun on the swings and the trampoline. We were grateful for the thought and love that went into this site for a big group. It was a little confusing to figure out where to camp - not much shade and lots of the land is on a steep incline and there’s a lot of poison oak. The main area by the kitchen was flat and clear but we had a big group that was using that space for cooking and campfires and playing so we didn’t put our tents there. And the drive up the hill to the site is long and very steep. Overall we are glad we stayed and would recommend!!

We enjoyed staying at Valley View Camp for its’ convenient location near SF suburbs. The views of sunset and sunrise are breathtaking. Amy was attentive to our needs and made our stay memorable especially celebrating the 4th of July with her friends and watching fireworks of valleys below. It was very windy so staying in one of the Domes is highly recommended.

Keep in mind San Francisco fog (which was up the coast all the way to Washington) but made for a beautiful morning. We would stay again!
