The winters are cold and snowy, spring and fall are ideal with warm sunny days and cool, crisp nights, and the summer has warm evenings and hot days. There is plenty of shade with large pine, cedar and oak trees and open sunny space in the meadow. Coppercreek Camp is your perfect mountain getaway for the whole family!
Please note: The Dixie fire burned our town of Greenville in August 2021. There is ongoing repair work in the local area, a lot of burned forest, but still many beautiful sites to see. Much of our property burned, but we are rebuilding and have beautiful green trees with plenty of shade. All of our pictures on HipCamp are post-fire and up-to-date. Please come and support our special town as we rebuild!
The town of Greenville is located about 5 minutes from our property and offers a grocery store, Dollar General, gas station with mini mart, and wonderful food trucks. Grab the best quesadillas and drinks from the Way Baby or delicious coffee and breakfast from The Valley Grind.

Turner Beach At Lake Almanor is a privately owned vacant lakefront lot. The property is wide enough to accommodate 3 RV's/camp trailers end to end, ensuring no blocked views of the lake. You will be camping along Lake Almanor's East Shore on your own private campground instead of "combat camping" in the public campgrounds nearby. Additionally, the property can accommodate numerous smaller vans and tents. We have 2 mooring buoys and a large dock. (Dock may no longer be in the water after September) There is a sani-hut potty which is cleaned weekly. The property is located between the lake and the highway, so there will be road noise. Some guests have been bothered by the traffic and some have not.
We have 1 SUP board, 3 kayaks, and a canoe as well as a 5-person pedal boat that can be borrowed while renting our beach. Doing so will be at your own risk and you are required to wear personal floatation devices (lifejackets). Lifejackets are not provided, so you will need to bring your own. We ask that you please respect our toys and take care not to damage them or lose any parts/pieces.

To make your stay more comfortable, we suggest bringing along some additional beach towels, as the towels provided are meant for use only within the cabin. Pet Policy
All our cabins and seasonal RV sites are pet friendly and we allow up to two dogs per reservation. We ask that they stay off the furniture (beds, sofas etc.) and are not left in the rental unattended. We love dogs, but sadly won’t be able to accommodate heavily shedding pets that aren’t house trained. Additionally, our insurance will not allow "aggressive breeds" that include any mix of: Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Doberman, German Sheppard.
Please pick up after your pup and use a leash when at the camp. Thank you in advance for your consideration and help in keeping our camp a mellow and enjoyable place for everyone.

There is only one spot available at our property to reserve as we leave our trailer up there for most of the summer. The good news is you will have the place all to yourselves unless we happen to be there which is not very often and we will let you know if we overlap. This spot has a 30 amp RV plug and a sewer connection. There is no water or trash service so please bring your own water and practice pack in/pack out practices. This spot is for RV's only with a full restroom as we don't have restroom facilities onsite. This is a very quiet spot but does have a few neighbors within earshot so if you are planning on a party spot or having loud music this is not the spot for you. There is a large smoker/BBQ that is not maintained but is available for your use if you want, we have used it several times and it works great. There is also a firepit to use when fire season permits. We are only 4 miles from Graeagle, which is a great little town to explore and eat some ice cream in the park. There are many great lakes to explore in the immediate area including Lake Davis, Gold Lake, Upper Salmon Lake, and of course upper and lower sardine which are my favorites.

This property lies at the base of the Sierra Mountains, approximately 9 miles north of Doyle, CA on the west side of US Route 395. Access to the ranch road is from US Route 395. Its elevation starts at 3800 feet and rises higher than 5,000 feet. The lower half is rolling high chaparral and the upper half is steep with forest land that was burned in the 2021 Dixie Fire. There are still plenty of live trees left.
This ranch lies in Deer Hunting Zone X6b. Lassen National Forest is on the west boundary of this ranch, with a gate that allows access to the national forest. The 395 Ranch boasts incredible views for nearly 75 miles.
The ground is primarily decomposed granite so mud never becomes a problem. Wind can be strong when weather systems approach. The campsites are very basic with no toilet facilities (at this time) but water is available for cooking and washing dishes. An outdoor enclosed shower is available as well. At this time (summer) the water is naturally warm from the pipe’s exposure to the sun and hot water from a flash heater will be available in the near future. Tents can be erected almost anywhere on the property, but campfires are strictly prohibited until the rainy/cold season.
Water and an electric hookup is available next to the barn for RVs and travel trailers at an additional cost. Sewer service is not available.
There is also an older but nice three-bedroom, one bath home that is also available for short term rentals. It is heated during the winter by two wood burning stoves and cooled comfortably during the summer with a swamp cooler. The rent for this house is based on the season, ranging from $169-$229 nightly plus extra fees for pets or more than three people.
Visitors of the past have found hiking, looking for artifacts and rocks to be fun activities. It’s also been an amazing place for stargazing and using telescopes. Others simply enjoyed relaxing and enjoying the peace, quiet and views.

Tucked in the pines, you'll easily find our 4 acre camping paradise. We offer RV parking with power and water hookups and access to an outhouse.
Our sites offer plenty of shade in the trees, picnic benches, a swing set, large open graveled space with outdoor furniture to sit and relax in, play cornhole or grill.
Located less than a mile from Lake Davis, for swimming, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, boating, etc. General Store close by, with dump station. Several hiking trails nearby.
5 minute drive to Grizzly Golf Course,
10 minute drive to Portola for Mountain Pizza, Frosty, and more, just 20 minutes to Graeeagle Shops, Breweries, Fine Dining, horseback riding and other activities.

Tucked into an aspen grove with a seasonal creek, this peaceful campground offers upgraded RV and tent sites designed for comfort and relaxation. Each site has sun sails, outdoor seating, picnic tables, and fire pits—everything you need to settle in and unwind. Including a brand new bathroom with sink and toilet! (See pics)
You’ll also have access to my barn hangout, where you can play games, enjoy the bar area, or just escape the sun for a bit. Cornhole, hammocks, wildlife watching, and mountain breezes are all part of the experience.
I'm only 1 1/2 miles from Lake Davis and the boat ramp, with endless opportunities for fishing, hiking, paddle boarding, off‑roading, and even a nearby golf course.

Awesome spot, right on the creek and super private. The only downside is backing up to the storms tricky, but there is parking elsewhere too. Very thoughtful touches and everything worked really well.

Weekend Trip to Golden Pine Campground, Paxton, Ca
Had a great weekend in my primitive cabin! Flush toilets and cold shower after the bike ride were a big bonus. Enjoyed a social evening at the fire pit with two other campers. Would definitely recommend!

Great stay (for my truck). Parked it on the property for two nights while I was out on a bike trip through the Lost Sierra. Felt very safe leaving my truck at the Meadow. Beautiful location! Next time I hope to actually stay a night or two myself.

Was happy to have stayed at this site for a quick rest stop during a road trip. The owner met us at the gate of the property with a warm & friendly energy. Site was private and clean, no issues at all. It's rare to be up in this area although next time I'll easily stay here again.

Weekend Trip to The Retreat on Big Grizzly Creek
My partner and I had the most unforgettable weekend! It was so peaceful, beautiful and Grizzly Creek providing the most refreshing dip and nature sounds. I left feeling so relaxed and rejuvenated. We will definitely come back! And if you are into golf, we golfed at Grizzly Ranch and it was so incredible, beautiful views and an amazing experience. Dan was so helpful and responsive! Celebrated an anniversary at this beautiful, private spot. Easy access to Lassen National Park, the most beautiful starry nights and never-ending sunsets. Definitely recommend ear plugs at night for tent campers due to the close road/trains, and make sure you check the listing for any updates prior to arriving. But overall a great campsite and highly recommend. Would happily return - the pictures don’t do it justice!

Kari’s Hipcamp was the perfect quiet spot to base from for exploring the beautiful Lost Sierra. I loved having a couch and picnic table at my site, access to a fire pit and grilling area, a clean flush toilet, and a cute little barn to have a drink or store my cold items in the fridge! 10 minutes from Portola makes it convenient to run to town in case you need anything.

This spot is a gem! Beautiful set up next to a creek. Just far enough off the beaten path to enjoy some peace and quite but with lots of great hiking around 15 minutes away! Host is super responsive! Would definitely stay here again!!! Site is as described. I recommend splurging for the propane tank :)

The Spot was absolutely gorgeous. We loved being right on the lake and the privacy of it. Yes, we could hear the road and an occasional train, but that didn't really matter much to us. The sunsets were stunning and the porta potty was the cleanest one I have ever seen.

We had an amazing stay at this private spot. The site is spacious, level, and easily fit our Ram ProMaster and F-250 with plenty of room left over. It felt private, comfortable, and well cared for.
The host was fantastic—very communicative, friendly, and quick to answer any questions. The clean bathroom was a huge plus, and we really appreciated all the extras like the Weber grill, picnic table, chairs, and the abundance of shade throughout the day.
The fire pit area quickly became our favorite spot. Watching the sunset over the lake from there each evening was absolutely beautiful. The easy access for canoeing and paddling made getting out on the water a breeze.
Even our dogs had a great time. They loved exploring the area, lounging in the shade, and hanging out by the lake with us.
A special shout-out to the fly shop just up the road. The owner was incredibly helpful, getting us set up with the right gear and sharing some great local knowledge, including the best times and spots to fish.
If you’re looking for a relaxing Lake Almanor camping experience with thoughtful amenities, plenty of space, beautiful sunsets, and a great host, this spot is a real gem. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
