The back part of the property was a stop point for the stage line between Oroville and Bangor during the 1880, Then gold was discovered on the property. There were multiple Gold claims on this property. The Old rock pilings are still there to explore. It is a favorite spot for finding Jasper, some Agates and quartz. Campers are welcome year-round to this tent site on the old Gold Claim of our 20-acre family farm! I am writing this review to warn everyone that there is no longer a tent/yurt set up at Lovers Creek. When I asked the man about it, he said that a guest had brought the tent it wasn't included in the site, which is a lie if you look at all the reviews and pics there used to be a tent that stayed on the wooden platform. Luckily I brought my tent just in case so we didn't need to leave. The road getting onto his property is very narrow and beautiful and I wouldn't have been comfortable taking my car, I was glad to have a truck. The restroom is down at the "entrance" and a 10 min walk to the Lovers Creek site. We took the truck each time. There were cute animals to see on the property. Roads are very dusty! The best part about this place and the main reason I might come back is for the privacy. After check in, no one bothered us and the nearest campsite maybe 500 feet away across the other side.

Nice and quiet spot with everything you might need provided. The neighbors dog Abby greeted us every day and she was a sweetheart. The teepee was decked out in a comfy World Market boho vibe and even had a mini fridge. Oh and the sheets were the softest. Nice bathroom not far from the sight. If you are cooking at night by the bathroom, it's a bit dark. Just turn on the bathroom light and pull back the curtain, that will help. The teepee did have a smokey smell due to the fires inside, but I am sensitive to that kind of thing. Overall loved the place and would camp here again.

The hosts were very friendly and bathrooms were very clean! My group did not have any issues with the horses that previous reviews mentioned. The campsite is very remote and the closest town is about a 30 min drive, so I recommend packing all food with you and planning to do activities at the campsite. I would also recommend checking in during the daylight to avoid confusion with the gates and finding your campsite. As a heads up, the lake shore was about a 1 mile walk from the campsite. Happy camping!

The site was perfect for a larger group and 10 year old pup. Rick was very welcoming and kind! Being at the top, the site had a beautiful view of the sunset and stars, felt private, and had full sun during the day. the only heads up I’d give is that the road from the entrance up to the site itself (about a 2-3 min drive) is not suitable for cars with lower suspension. My car was fine and clear the dips, but there are 3 prominent dips close to the site that could potentially ruin your car!

Mandala Springs was a last minute getaway on a crowded holiday weekend. The facilities were very clean - wonderful pool, clean bathrooms, and plenty of space to tent camp around the established cabins and glamping tents. I arrived after hours, but instructions were clearly stated at the office for setting up for the night. I didn't get the opportunity to enjoy some of the other offerings, like the swimming holes, paddle boats or mini golf, but what I did experience of the grounds and the hiking trails and meditation zones - complete with chimes - was lovely, well maintained, and very relaxing. It also seemed like the camp hosts regular events - smores bonfires, and shared meals - and I like the invitation to feel a sense of community and connection with others enjoying the space. The one thing I hadn't anticipated was that this family-friendly campground was particularly kid-forward on this holiday weekend, especially with very energetic and vocal young ones running throughout the camp - as late as 11pm and again at 6:30 in the morning. It held my experience back from being a truly peaceful getaway, but for the brief time of my stay, the pros outweighed the cons. I'd look elsewhere for a single or couples getaway campsite, but for those with kids looking for an easy getaway where they can roam freely, this seems like a good fit.

This place really surprised me! Amenities galore, cleanest bathrooms and showers I’ve seen at a camping spot. This review is for a tent spot, where I was able to pick any available spot, which included electrical hookups if you needed it. There were many well maintained trails to explore, some with platforms to meditate or stretch, bench’s over nice overlooks, and lots of peace and quiet. The communal fire pit was a nice gathering spot in the evening to relax under the stars and listen to a musical artist sing and play guitar , if you’re lucky. I came on Labor Day weekend 2025 for just one night after the nearby Tour de Fuzz bike ride in Santa Rosa, but will probably lay be back before the next one. 5 stars!
