Joe’s land is well kept and beautiful. Grandma stayed in the tiny house and we pitched a tent with our 10 year old and 2 dogs. The house had a nice bed with bedding and tons of pillows. Grandma approved. Cool loft area that our son loved hanging out in. The kitchen had all the basics for simple cooking and dining for a small family including a French press with coffee. There was a hot plate, kettle, and mini fridge. We didn’t use most of the amenities as we weren’t sure what was available and brought all our gears including a portable fridge. But next time we’ll know! The property itself is super cute and nicely groomed. Fenced areas with plants and walkways, outdoor shower and tub. We used the outdoor shower over the one inside, it’s awesome after sitting around in the heat. You can drive down further off the site to the river area. It was a bit sketchy for grandma to go further up the water but there’s plenty beautiful spots to sit and enjoy. There’s no shade and may not be suitable for swimming for young kids but worth the amazing rock formation and mini waterfalls. It’s magical. There’s a path down the creek from the house and it was perfect to hang out and swim. It’s a small area with shade and the running creek flows into a little pool where we had water floats and swam. Book this place, it’s great for all level of campers!

Weekend Trip to Perfect Getaway with Private Creek

Wow what a perfect spot! The tiny home is comfortable and had everything we needed. The AC works, the bed is big enough for two plus some room. There’s a loft space for storage This home has enough space and amenities to cook comfortably and has a room to eat and relax. My partner is 6’3” and fit with no head bumps or cramped feelings. There’s a local market less than 10 mins away, and it’s only 20 mins away from downtown Nevada City. This spot really is the perfect mix of being in nature and close to anything you’d want to do. The property is gorgeous and totally private. The outdoor tub was quite the treat as well. If you're looking for a place to unwind, this really is the spot. Joe was attentive if we had any questions. 10/10 would recommend, we’ll definitely be back.

Weekend Trip to Perfect Getaway with Private Creek

The tiny home was situated perfectly on the property. It made the trip feel very private. As avid campers, this site had everything you need to "glamp". We paid extra for the canopy by the river, which was totally worth it. We took our backpack cooler to the river and enjoyed our day. The water felt great on a hot day. At night, the tiny home's AC was a plus to sleep comfortably. The outside shower was also amazing. We hope to come back!

3 nights at Cobb Mtn Retreat Cabin w/ Hot Tub

Wow - what a wonderful spot! We were greeted with a very clean, open and refreshing house. It is impressive how mindfully designed and well-appointed it is, with pleasant textures, textiles, colors and artful touches throughout, as well as numerous large windows to let the outside in. The comfortable seating areas are perfectly placed to enjoy the beautiful, woodsy setting both indoors and out. The hot tub area is great too - perfectly designed for privacy & relaxation. The house was well-stocked with items that are often not provided at house rentals, such as Kleenex, a variety of cooking spices, every kitchen tool I needed (and we cooked every meal at the house during our 3-night stay), Tupperware perfect for picnics, coffee supplies, etc. Well done! It's one of those places you want to tell everyone about, but you also don't because you want it to be available for your next getaway!

Dan went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. Area was peaceful and the cabin was comfortable. He did recently add a privacy screen between the campsite and the house. Availability of on-site water and electricity makes this easier than a state or forest service campgrounds.

Weekend Trip to Sacred Valley Ranch Retreat

We loved the thoughtfulness of the geodome setup, it had everything we needed and then some; charging ports, hammocks and seemingly endless trails. The wildlife and stargazing were peaceful. Geoffrey is a great host. Can’t wait for our next opportunity to return.

The cabin had everything we needed! It is perfectly set up for a relaxing getaway. The creek access is a very short distance from the cabin. We had a great time letting our dogs off leash and to explore the area. The fire pit helped with the mosquitos and we had plenty of wood to last our entire stay and more. We’re so glad we found this spot and would be happy to stay there again, maybe with some friends next time!

2 nights at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park Glamping

This spot was wonderful. The bed is comfortable, the tent is spacious, and site 4 was definitely the best of the glamping bunch. The tent gets morning sun, but most of the site stays cool and shaded throughout the day. Note that there's a huge open space between sites 3 and 4, so they would be great to rent together for a large group. The park staff were very friendly and helpful, the showers were warm with decent pressure, and the bathrooms were clean. And the hiking was fantastic! They have a waterproof map you can buy at the visitor center for about $7 that's better than the free one (well worth it), and the free one has descriptions of the hikes including length, elevation changes, sun cover, vegetation, and views. Overall the stay was peaceful and just what we wanted. Highly recommend!

Loved our Glamping Trip to Sugar Loaf Ridge State Park. Everything very nice except I have two requests. We had a party of three at the glamping tent with 3 cars and another picnic table would have been very convenient. The other request is a dishwashing station with hot water. Many are camping in TV's and have access to dishwashing. But if your camping washing dishes can be a real challenge. But a great park and a great trip. Hope to go back soon!

Weekend Trip to Hilltop Acres Tipi Glamp Camp

Cool place. I enjoyed the privacy and it was really nice to be able to take a hot shower on a cool evening after a long day of hiking. The weather wasn't great unfortunately but there is a fridge, hot plate and kettle in the tipi which is great. If you have respiratory issues I would avoid using the fire pit in the tipi, but no complaints here, I had a good time.

Such a lovely spot! Really enjoyed our stay glamping at Sugar Loaf. It was perfect for my two kids (5 and 2) and they had such a nice time! The nature was great, we saw deers and turkeys on our small hike to the creek and up the hillside. The toilets and showers were clean. Would definitely come back again!

Weekend Trip to Cobb Mtn Retreat Cabin w/ Hot Tub

Great place for a few days of relaxation get away. The house was clean and nice. The neighbors were friendly and the local shop 3 min walk away was a good place to get snacks and drinks.

Sugarloaf Ridge State Park Glamping

We have four lovely Glamping sites at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park and 25 miles of hiking trails, nestled in the glorious chaparral of the Mayacama Mountain Range and Sonoma Hills, deep in the heart of wine country. The cost is $150 per night on weekends (Fri and Sat) and $125 per night on weekdays (Sun-Thurs). There is a 2-night minimum stay required between Memorial Day and Labor Day. In our family-friendly campground, our tents are 16-Foot Canvas and come with one queen-size bed, two futon lounge chairs (May be converted to twin beds), rugs, tables, lighting, and complementary firewood the first night. At no additional cost, we can add up to two twin beds to each tent upon request to sleep up to 6 people. 8 people max allowed at the campsite. The glamping sites include a picnic table, fire ring, outdoor seating, and room for additional tents if desired. All sites are easy walking distance to flush toilets and a bathhouse, with large, clean, coin operated hot shower rooms. There is no cell service in the park, but free WiFi is available at the Visitor Center. PLEASE NOTE that Bedding (sheets, pillows, blankets) IS NOT included in a standard rental, but is available as an add-on. Guests are encouraged to bring their own bedding whenever possible. If no bedding is added, we will assume a one-queen setup with mattress covers only. We kindly ask guests to provide at least 48-hour notice if bedding will be required. We will always try to accommodate last-minute requests, but we cannot guarantee this. PETS and SMOKING ARE NOT ALLOWED INSIDE our glamping tents! This is strictly enforced, and you WILL be charged a $150 cleaning fee for any violation of this policy. Parking: Your reservation includes parking for one vehicle. There are 3 options: Shaded Oak ($49) quiet, private, for vans, small trailer or tent; has propane fire pit Married Manzanitas ($49) is a very large, privately wooded site that is walk-in or requires 4wd/ground clearance (drive in at your own risk, or park and walk in), tent only, or also offers an optional Cabin for +$30 per night ($79) Coral Cabin on the hilltop ($109/night, + $30 cleaning fee) is closest to the civilized amenities, electricity, wifi etc and has a TV with roku. Your toilet and shower are still outside, but this is the closest to a hotel experience with clean sheets ready on your arrival. Cabin has AC for hot summer days, and a private deck with dinner bar around back. All sites have access to the hilltop Recharge Station, recently cleaned up! Recharge Station has an outdoor shower, two bathtubs, tables and chairs, and a large stainless steel countertop with sink. If multiple sites are occupied, Coral Cabin has priority for use of facilities before 9am and after 5pm. Shaded Oak and Married Manzanitas guests can use the facilities between 9am-5pm, being mindful of each other's privacy and/or coordinating shower times. Each site has its own compost toilet, and Married Manzanitas has its own ambient-temperature shower. As much as possible, guests should use the toilet in their own sites. We are off-grid with no amenities from the city so please be mindful of how much trash you’ll leave behind. If drinking alcoholic beverages we ask that campers take their empties. Ask for a bag if you need it. It’s always a journey finding the magical places so just a sweet heads up our mountain dirt road is a bit bumpy. Cars make it up all the time. Be sure to drive at a steady pace (lowest gear is good) on the way up and don’t stop till you see the Welcome sign! You will be greeted by one of our wonderful residents.... Or myself! ARRIVAL: We ask campers to arrive between 1pm at 8pm. If possible a general ETA helps as well. DOGS: We have an amazing dog with a wonderful disposition that roams freely here. You will be most definitely greeted at the entrance by Arco wearing a beautiful tuxedo. Arco will check in with you throughout your stay. *Please keep your dog on a leash at all times. Trank Family Farm and Gold site

We have lived on the farm now for over 21 years. The back part of the property was a stop point for the stage line between Oroville and Bangor during the 1880, Then gold was discovered on the property. There were multiple Gold claims on this property. The Old rock pilings are still there to explore. It is a favorite spot for finding Jasper, Agates and quartz crystals Campers are welcome year-round to this tent site on the old Gold Claim of our 20-acre family farm! Drive right up to this fun-filled, family-friendly campsite, easily accessible by cars and SUVs alike - though 4WD is helpful during the rainy season. This site features two seasonal streams that cross on the property, as well as bushes full of ripe blackberries - if you catch them at the right time, help yourself. You'll enjoy hearing the birds echoing through the trees and could easily see deer tip toeing through the woods. Dogs on leash only. We raise 4H and FFA show and market goats, llamas, and a donkey and a cow, all of whom are very friendly! You'll also see our chickens, ducks, peacocks, and guinea hens. Rock pilings are on the island between the two seasonal streams that cross our land. Gold panning, hiking and creek walking is available on the property. Campers are welcome to stargaze in the field, create scavenger hunts for the kids, or simply sit back and enjoy the tranquility. The streams dry up in late June and fill up in November when the rains start. Trank Family Farm is 30 minutes from Lake Oroville, 20 minutes from Oroville Wildlife Area and the Feather River - great for kayaking, swimming, and fishing! Be sure to check out the trails and seasonal waterfalls at Table Mountain, 35 minutes away. There are 2 Indian Casinos & Hotels in Oroville, as well as 2 golf ranges - and all with in 20 minutes of the camp site. The college town of Chico is about 30 minutes outside of Oroville. If you want to explore farther, Butte Mountain range and the city of Paradise, CA is 45 minutes away. We can't wait for you to come visit!
