There is a beautiful holistic gift store, The Sea Trader, Four Eyed Frog Bookstore, and some lovely art galleries in town.   Kayaking is available at the Gualala River. Hiking at Gualala Regional Park, the Bluff Trail, The Sea Ranch public access beaches, Stump Beach, Salt Point Park with a petrified forest, Bowling Ball Beach with its amazing natural formations (can only be seen fully at low tide of more than -0.2m), Manchester State Beach, Elk Beach, and more. Anchor Bay is 5 miles up CA 1, with a supermarket, a few cafes, restaurants (including a great Thai place!) laundromat, hair salon, and more. The quaint town of Point Arena is 12 miles north, with a supermarket, Frannie's Cup And Saucer, The Bird Cafe, a beautiful historic lighthouse, a theater, a pier, a mini-safari park (B Bryan Preserve with zebras, giraffes and more. Tours need to be booked in advance). Also visit Roots, a natural pharmacy for herbs, teas and supplements.  There are also spots like Occidental, Bodega Bay, Jenner (with the Russian River to kayak and swim) and Timber Cove, all on the way to Gualala from the south. Bodega Bay has lovely spots to eat, with clam chowder, fish and chips. Enjoy wind and water sports, and walk on the pier.

The "Redwood Nest" is a standalone tiny cabin/sleeping space with no cooking facilities. There is an attached composting toilet and access to an outdoor open air shower. Both offer quiet seclusion and easy access to all that the lower Russian River Valley has to offer. We are close to both the Russian River, Austin Creek, the coast beaches (15 minute drive), stellar cycling routes and many amazing trails for hiking. Our south-facing property receives full sun unlike many redwood locations. The "Fairy Rings" have been trimmed up for fire prevention and offer great views and opportunities to appreciate the magnificence of these Redwood giants that we love. There is great coffee and Amazing pastries at Gold Coast just a mile away in Duncan's Mills. Jenner is only about 15 mins away with Cafe Aquatica and River's End Restaurant (reservations needed-SO good and special) The "Cazita" sleeps up to 3 guests in a king bed and sofa sleeper and has a bathroom with flush toilet and shower. It has a fully-equipped kitchen with everything needed to prepare your meals. There is a 2 night minimum for booking. The "Redwood Nest" is a standalone room featuring a queen bed and bay window looking out onto a redwood stand. There is a composting toilet in the attached outhouse and an outdoor sink. There are no cooking facilities and no cooking allowed. The redwood nest is really perfect for a couple looking to eat out and then sleep, fully at peace beneath the Redwoods. Please note that there is a friendly dog on the property (although we do not accept pet guests). This property is ideal for quiet people who want to get away into nature, enjoy the outdoors. It is dark at night- we do not have exterior lighting except for string lights and provided flashlights. Quiet hours begin at 9:30pm. There is absolutely no smoking of any kind permitted on the property. Although some reviews mention a hot tub, it is no longer available to guests (sorry, maintenance issues)

We offer full hookups which consists of 50 amp & 110 volt electrical outlets, potable water, sewage dump. We also have one pigtail available (with a refundable deposit) if needed to convert 50 amp to 30 amp. We also have one place in the middle of our big vineyards with a 30 amp and water only. No sewer. Our sites are located one mile from Healdsburg plaza, the heart of Sonoma County Wine Country. Our town offers amazing wineries, fantastic restaurants, and quaint shops. It is an excellent place for wine lovers. There is a pre-prohibition winery right across the road called Foppiano. There are many other fabulous wineries are nearby. Ask the host for discount passes or complimentary tasting cards for some of the local wineries. We are in an excellent location for outdoor adventurers. There are plenty of hiking trails near by as well as bike rental shops for those who enjoy trekking, and even a couple of rafting places right here on the Russian River. We are close to places like Armstrong Woods, Safari West, Getaway Adventures, The Sonoma County Fairgrounds which hosts the Summer Country Concerts among other events, Harmony Festival, Santa Rosa Full Camp; Half Marathons Camp; 5K, Sonoma Zip-line Adventures, and Much More! Definitely recommend a 4x4 vehicle to get to the property. Have your directions downloaded before you pass the high school. Our Subaru was up for the task! The property is gorgeous and very secluded. We brought our 8 year old boy and dog. We were super lucky to have the entire camp site to ourselves the entire weekend. The temperature at night was almost freezing, so the sauna and shower made it much more tolerable. The sauna was by far the highlight of the trip for me besides being with my family unplugged! Epic stargazing at the point camp site. Having a kitchen to make a full meal for each meal was a luxury. The kitchen has everything you need to cook minus ingredients. Bring your own oil/spices etc. Also, pack out what you pack in. Meaning, there isn’t a garbage facility/ site dumpster. Also, there is really only 1 running toilet that we could find by the kitchen. I could see this being annoying in a large group setting, although having a toilet at all is a luxury when camping. If you’re a BBQ enthusiast, bring your own grill, there isn’t one to use on the property. Make sure to bring tick repellant/ check yourselves (especially dogs) regularly. We pulled a dozen off our dog and bodies. Highly recommend this spot for a weekend getaway! We loved it and will certainly be back, as a couple, as a family and with friends for sure!!

A beautiful place to come in the fall. Weather was warm during the day the forest hikes and waterfall were beautiful. Having a bath house with a sauna was a real treat. Be prepared for the long dirt road up to the property. Lots of potholes, steep hills, and turns, you need daylight and patience.

After a week in the bustle of Carmel and Carmel Valley we needed a quiet place to stay going north. A three plus hour drive to the ranch was enough. Having a perfect place to camp by ourselves and not having to deal with anyone was ideal. A few cows came up the fence and checked us out. The night was dark and very quiet and being treated as a capable adults and taking care of ourselves was ideal. Will definitely stay there again.

The treehouse itself was something out of a fairytale - the adventure of staying up in the trees, the serenity of the woods, the spectacular views from the jacuzzi.. everything about this place was truly magical. I can't wait to come back and stay for longer next time!
