Since 2012, Sugarloaf Ridge State Park has been operated by the Sonoma Ecology Center (a Sonoma Valley environmental non-profit)
and Team Sugarloaf. Team Sugarloaf is a coalition of four nonprofit partners spearheaded by the Sonoma Ecology Center. Our efforts have resulted in a revitalized park that engages with all our community and welcomes visitors from all over the country and world.
At Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, nestled in the glorious chaparral of the Mayacama Mountain Range and Sonoma Hills, deep in the heart of wine country,
we have two lovely glamping set-ups. In our family friendly campground, we chose two of our best sites
and installed luxury Shelter brand canvas tents, replete with warm and cozy furnishings, firewood, and other amenities you will love.

is not included in a standard rental, but is available as an add-on. Guests are encouraged to bring their own bedding whenever possible. If you do not add bedding, or specify other options, we will assume a one queen setup with mattress covers only. We kindly ask guests to provide at least 48 hour notice if bedding will be required. We will always try to accommodate last minute requests, but we cannot guarantee on short notice.
Pets are welcome in the campgrounds, but are not allowed inside the luxury tents. If you plan to bring your pet, please ensure you have accommodations for them outside the tents. This is strictly enforced and you WILL
be charged a $150 cleaning fee for any violation of this policy.
Site 1
(Site 29 on the campground map):
6-Person Shelter Canvas Luxury Tent: $125 per night. This gorgeous site is nestled at the foot of the ridge, perfectly shaded, cozy, private and with a gorgeous view of the meadow.
Directly across from the meadow
to the bathhouse with large, hot shower rooms, this
canvas tent features a queen-sized memory foam bed, rugs, lounge furnishings, light, heat, complimentary firewood,
and possibly a optional power connection. Upon request, we can provide up to three twin beds inside this tent in addition to the queen.
The site has a fire ring, outdoor seating, and plenty of room for your additional tents if desired. There is a $25 setup/breakdown/cleaning fee for this rental. NOTE: Please specify your desired setup for this tent by using the extras feature on this site. e.g. If you would like two additional twin beds setup inside the tent (at no extra charge), please add them to your booking! If no "extras" are selected we will assume the queen only setup.
Luxury tent furnishings (included): Memory foam queen bed, twin cots/lounge chairs, tables, chairs, rugs, lamp, heating, optional power, and firewood. Free WiFi is available at the Visitor Center.
Site 2:
(Campsite 16/17 on the campground map):
6-Person Shelter Canvas Luxury Tent: $125 per night, or $215 a night for both tents on this site.
The large main tent boasts an extremely comfortable memory foam queen bed, rugs, lounge chairs, heating, lighting, and complimentary firewood (up to three bundles per night).
Up to three additional twin beds can be accommodated in this main tent upon request, for no additional fee. The campsite also includes outdoor seating, including Adirondack chairs, picnic tables, fire rings, and additional seating. Located in the largely shaded, partially sunny sites 16 and 17, this site offers a cool retreat from the heat.
Glorious sunrises and stargazing galore!
Luxury tent furnishings (included with the main tent): Memory foam queen bed, lounges that convert to twin beds, tables, chairs, rugs, lamp, heating (seasonal), and firewood.
This site also has a second full sized tent that can be added for $90/night,
perfect for teenagers, kids, or another couple joining the party. Our annex tent can accommodate up to seven twin bed setups,
or can also be arranged as a sheltered extra lounge/living room area.
The annex tent can be rented along with the main tent or separately for $70 per night, with a $20 cleaning fee. If you do not use the annex tent, you will not be charged for it. (Conversely, if you end up using the annex tent after all, we can help facilitate payment after the fact.)
We recommend this annex tent for families or small groups who would like an additional room for kids, single adults, etc. You do not have to book the annex tent as well, but it will be set up in your site whether you book it or not. Many choose to book this as an additional living room area if not needed for kids/teenagers.
There is also plenty of room to set up your own tents, in addition to the glamping tents, which we recommend if you have larger parties or pets.
NOTE: Please specify your desired setup for this tent by using the extras feature on this site. e.g. If you would like two additional twin beds setup inside the tent (at no extra charge), please add them to your booking! If no "extras" are selected we will assume the queen only, no bedding setup.
Both glamping sites are easy walking distance to bathhouses, with large, clean, hot shower rooms. Each site also has a dedicated personal porta potty for your exclusive use. Porta potties are cleaned and sanitized before your arrival and again after departure. Showers are cleaned and sanitized up to three times a day.
Your reservation includes parking for one vehicle.
There is an additional $10 per night per vehicle charge for more than one vehicle, which you can pay for at the Visitor's Center upon check-in.
