2 nights at A California Dream: Camp Hoppy

Camp hoppy was is an amazing, beautiful spot tucked away in the redwood forest. We had an amazing time enjoying the fire under the trees, listening to the creek, watching the moon rise, and spotting some really interesting wildlife. It’s the perfect balance of being immersed in nature while still having the comforts you need: an open-air space for cooking, hot water, and a nice, clean bathroom. Having the entire property and creek to ourselves made it feel like a peaceful little retreat. It truly has everything you need for a perfect nature getaway. I’d love to come back in the future. This is a lovely Hipcamp spot!

The hosts were so welcoming and the yurt was super cozy. The yurt was heated so it’s a perfect year round stay. You’ll get to enjoy beautiful gardens the entire stay. Also I 10/10 recommend showering at night because you can see the stars above you the entire time. I would definitely stay here again.

Good Things Farm is an amazing hidden gem in Fort Bragg! Kirsten and Evan were fantastic hosts and have such a beautiful farm where we were able to explore and enjoy all of the beautiful flowers, fruit trees, river spot and so much more. The yurt was such a great place to stay in and was so fun and cozy to stay in after enjoying an evening by the campfire!

Good Things Farm is a truly magical place to say. Kirsten and Evan have created a truly magical little haven! They are extremely gracious and kind hosts! My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed the space. We had intended to use this as just a home base to explore Fort Bragg and Mendocino on a long weekend, but honestly we found that staying at the farm was the probably the main experience in itself. We really enjoyed the bikes that were provided with easy access to the leisurely coastal trail around the town. Mendocino is also only a short drive away (30 mins) and has gorgeous beach views. But what really made the experience so great was just staying on the farm. It's like having private access to a botanical garden! The hot outdoor shower was also a to die for experience. Two shower heads!!! If you are looking for the glamping experience than this has to be the best it can ever get! Also be sure to visit the farm box out front! Lots of really affordable and delicious fruits, meats, snacks, etc.

Another AMAZING trip at Camp Hoppy with our group, this time with 2 doggos in tow! The site is huge and allowed us to split up amongst the camp area, as well as in the lower site near the river. Can't recommend this site enough for groups looking for a private, beautiful, relaxing escape

We had a fantastic time at Andrea's place! It was a hot day, but the surrounding trees provided plenty of shade, keeping things cool and comfortable. We loved watching the stars at night and catching the sunrise in the morning. The absolute highlight was the relaxing hot soaking tub—it was perfect! Just a heads-up, as other guests have mentioned, there are mosquitos, so be sure to bring bug spray. Also, make sure you follow the directions Andrea provides; they are clear but essential for not getting lost. We highly recommend a four-wheel-drive vehicle for the trip.

A bath in the woods with a view? Who would have thought! Definitely the highlight of our yurt camping experience. Even my 19 year old son said it was his favorite part. I loved the vibe of the yurt. We usually rough it so I totally felt spoiled crawling in to my real bed at the end of the day. And my daughter said tea on the bench watching the sun rise over the mountains was her highlight. (The red yurt slept three adults easily, could have done 2 more if we wanted.)

What a magical place to relax and restore your soul. Kristen and Evan have created the perfect little cozy yurt experience. It was so beautiful, we had everything we needed, and Kristen and Evan were such kind and helpful hosts. The outdoor shower was invigorating and we loved being able to see the trees! It was so wonderful to watch the sun come up and cast glowing light on the trees from our bed in the morning while sipping on a cup of coffee. We added the fire wood and flower picking experiences to our stay and it was truly the "cherry on top." Sitting under the stars while enjoying a crackling fire was so nice and wandering around the garden in the morning was absolutely the best, I can't describe how fun it was to walk amongst the flowers and make a bouquet! I highly recommend making Kristen and Evan's yurt your home for the weekend!!! It was truly an unforgettable experience that I will treasure forever!

Staying at Hoppers was truly an unforgettable experience. When we went there were 11 of sweetest puppies, and 4 dare I say sweeter doggy parents and grandparents. (They were all equally sweet) Hopper was accommodating to us and such a thoughtful host. The yurt was very cozy and beautifully deisgned. His approach to sustainability is novel and special. As someone who loves to camp in Joshua Tree, Sequoia and Kings Canyon, the area was the was the darkest night sky I’ve seen in a long long time. If you want more comfort than camping at salt point, but still be immersed in the north coast nature this is the place to be. 10/10 recommend

Weekend Trip to Yurt & Aquaponic Farm in D RedWoods

Hopper's farm was a super fun spot to stay for a weekend with my dog and toddler. The yurt had everything we needed and the detached bathroom with shower and a couple sinks was just a short walk away. His farm is in a beautiful forest about a 20 min drive uphill from sea ranch, so it is a great alternative to Salt Point SP or the other campgrounds closer to Gualala. My daughter enjoyed seeing his rabbits. Hopper is a fountain of wisdom about local plants and agriculture and I'm sure a longer stay would be super interesting, but we mainly used it as a home base for local adventures along the coast. Also if you're coming up from the bay the drive from 101 through dry creek valley is gorgeous and passes through loads of wineries/farms with cool farm stands and other neat things to stop and see if you have more time. Bottom line, it's a really nice, peaceful spot and we hope to return again soon for a longer stay.

Great spot! Loved getting into the river and hanging around the property. Some good platforms for sleeping on. One note; the yurt by the river has seen better days and we opted not to sleep in it. Otherwise, a beautiful and tranquil spot in a perfect location.
