Welcome to Ariana Acres 💛 💛 💛 Your boutique campground! Conveniently located two hours north of San Francisco, and six minutes off the 101. Until we transition to our new 30 acre site further up the mountain, we have one exclusive site to offer. Golden Bowl! Located at the far end of the property, take the first driveway down the grade, and park. Walk across the seasonal creek and follow the meandering path to your wall tent. Golden Bowl is becoming a private resort destination, equipped with a King Size Mattress for ultimate sleep comfort with clean sheets and comforters. A new deck adjacent to Golden Bowl is home to a firepit, two outdoor lounge chairs, a propane grill, and outdoor kitchen. We provide propane for the grill and two additional propane burners. Free firewood also provided, and there is plenty of kindling to gather off the ground. There is an additional butane burner inside the tent to make your morning coffee. When the sun sets and hits the mountain at your camp, it looks like you are in a golden bowl. We welcome good stewards of the earth to come and enjoy this majestic mountain. Ariana Acres is located on Ridgewood Summitt, the highest mountain pass along historic highway 101, before descending into the town of Willits. Located at near 3000 feet elevation, the mountain air is brisk, clean and refreshing. Hiking trails surround you. Walk the ridge at sunset, or hike up past the kitchen deck to the grassy ledge to enjoy a birds eye view. Summer is here! The weather is perfection. Walker Lake is minutes down the mountain and the best relief to the summer heat. Willits is named the heart of Mendocino County. Gateway to the Redwoods. This region is truly a hidden gem. The Skunk Train is world famous, and named one of the top 10 attractions in the United States by The NY Times. It's an open air steam locomotive that passes the world's largest Redwood tree. Ariana Acres is a place to come and feel away from it all, while only being a ten minute drive to town. You get the best of both worlds! Cheers to you adventurous hipcampers and many happy trails ahead 👣 😀Golden Bowl is located at the very back of the property down the first driveway to the bottom terrace. Cross the seasonal creek and follow the path to your wall tent. The tent is furnished with a King Size Sealy Serta very plush mattress. The sheets are laundered after each guest, and the bedding routinely gets laundered so everything is clean and fresh. There is a single butane burner and teapot to heat water for coffee and tea inside the tent. We provide the butane and a spare so you will not run out on your visit. Enjoy the firepit and two outdoor lounge chairs on the adjoining deck with a new grill and outdoor kitchen, with two additional propane burners. 5 gallon propane tanks provided as well. Plates, bowls, glasses, utensils, tea cups and teapot are stocked in the kitchen cabinet. Free firewood is stacked by the firepit, so all you have to do is gather kindling. For beginners you can bring firestarters to make building a fire easier! Small weber charcoal grill for the chef's! Charcoal and lighter fluid included. Local spring water for drinking is stored in the ice chest next to the kitchen sink. Composting toilet and supplies are in the hollow of the 500 year old Madrone behind your tent. The curtains wrap around the tree for privacy. Look up from your front porch and see the pink marker. Hike up the trail past the marker to find a grassy ledge to sit and enjoy the sunset. The tent itself features a star gazing sunroof. When the sun comes down and hits the mountain behind your tent it looks like a golden bowl. Then the sun comes up over the mountain around 9:30am giving late nighters time to sleep in. Golden Bowl is ideal for couples, friends and families of three. Great for writers who need alone time to gather your thoughts in this very peaceful setting. Golden Bowl is the one and only site open at Ariana Acres as we are transitioning to our new 30 acre location up the street at the top of the mountain. What this means for you is that you are able to enjoy the privacy of the entire property to yourselves with no other campers or the host on site. You will be greeted upon arrival and checked in, and after that the host will be available when needed as we are at the new site preparing for opening! (Ask about Walker Lake! *)

Portable toilet, composting toilet. We use the bucket system. It is very efficient. There is a toilet seat on top of a metal bucket. Inside the metal bucket it has a thick layer of debris to absorb #2. In the 5 gallon refill bucket take refill debris and fully cover the business #2. Then immediately take the bucket and release its content into the designated compost holes. Burn the tp in the Terra cotta pot. Please do not throw toilet paper or tissue in the bucket which will then be disposed in the compost pit. Please burn the paper and leave no trace.

If you are looking for a quiet place to sit and think, read, or write....this is the place for you. The land is hilly, bring sturdy shoes. If you plan to cook your meals in the kitchen...bring most of camping kitchen things. The tent was perfect and very comfortable for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

Kristina is kind, communicative, and accommodating! Golden bowl is private, peaceful, and has a lot more amenities and necessities available than most tent hipcamp spots - she put a lot or thought into the various needs of someone away from home. There's a real bed (a GOOD, roomy bed), an outdoor sink/dining area, an enclosed fire ring, and ample water provided. It's a beautiful spot in the hills, and it's a short drive from town - so you're not too far removed if you decide to get a meal or have a last minute need!

We celebrated our first anniversary and Valentine’s Day at Golden Bowl 🏕️ ❤️, and it was fantastic. Kristina was very helpful and kind. Despite the rain during the weekend we stayed, it made our experience even more romantic. The location is very private, the tent is cozy and comfortable, and the view from the outdoor kitchen is stunning. Kristina gifted us a bucket of roses for our anniversary, which was a very thoughtful gesture. 💐 🍒 Thank you for your warm hospitality and support.

Campsite was great! Yurt was very secluded and in a beautiful location. Bedding was fresh and clean and very comfy with the cold weather and rain. Kitchen was convenient and had a great fire pit. Kristina was very helpful, even providing us pots and pans that we had forgotten. Highly recommend if you are looking for an adventurous getaway.

Even though the temps were a bit chilly at night, we stayed warm and comfortable! Kristina's communication was excellent and everything was as it was described. We ended up just getting dinner in town since it's so close and direct more time exploring the area.

The golden bowl was perfect for my partner and I. Due to daylight savings time, we never met the host, but they were super accommodating and lovely to message with. Kind size bed was comfy. Blankets were super warm, so no heater was needed (there is not electricity). This spot is closer to camping with luxuring than glamping with all the extras. We didn't use the outdoor kitchen area but imagine it is super useful. My rav4 had no problem getting down the hill to our tent. This tent seems much more secluded than the other two on this property, so that's good to know for other potential people staying! We so sorry appreciate an affordable place to sleep, as everyone does not have $$$ that is trying to travel. Location was great to get to willits, the coast, and we stopped at orr hot springs on our way there - all within a reasonable distance for folks like us who are used to driving to get anywhere! I didn't bring my dog but always appreciate pet friendly spots :) I would come back!

Kristina was great with communication before she dried by to show me where everything was after I arrived. The sure has an excellent tent and bed setup.. way more than I expected. And the patio and grill/stove setup just made it a very comfy time.

A DREAM stay!

Kristina has created such a DREAM stay in the most beautiful little rural carve out. The tent was super high quality. Everything was super clean and so thoughtfully constructed. The bed was probably one of the most comfortable beds i've ever stayed in while traveling in hotels - including my own. I really enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and Kristina was such a gracious and helpful hostess. My schedule was flexible and she was super accommodating. 10/10 would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fairy tale escape.

Weekend Getaway!

Staying at Golden Bowl is a lovely way to get out of the city and disconnecting from electricity for a weekend. You can see the stars without all the light pollution it was beautiful. Had a lovely romantic night by the campfire. And our favorite part is spending time in the kitchen area making meals and enjoying the fire! Kristina was great being there when we arrived to show us around. She even helped getting wood for the fireplace. The tent was decorated lovely and really felt outdoorsy.

Wonderful place to camp in Willits. Kristina was very friendly and greeted me with a vase of flowers :) Golden Bowl site was private and well away from the other 2 sites, which were close together near the road. The tent was amazing, clean and felt very welcoming the moment I entered. I loved the star lights above the bed. There was the newly built deck nearby with a kitchen set up, with provided dishes, soap, sponges as well as a propane barbecue and camp stove. A great place to dance beneath the stars with your loved one. The compost bathroom was a bit of a challenge for someone like me with a bad knee. But loved the idea of a potty tree. ( Be sure to bring your own TP) The late afternoon sun did light up the hillside beautifully in a golden aura and the night sky was wondrous. I would stay here again and am happy with my stay and the memories of days well spent. Thank you Kristina :)

Beautiful location in rolling hills and with a view of the forest. So much attention to detail with the accommodation! Had a long couch that my 100 lb Great Pyrenees took a liking to immediately. Nice and open, with some chairs and a fire pit out front of the tent to relax. There was a camp burner with a water kettle and a sink with potable water. Christine was a wonderfully communicative host. Would come here over and over again! Coming from Oakland it was a 2.5 hour drive, a perfect amount to feel like you’re away but not so much that you’re exhausted and need double the time to recover from

Overall had a great experience. The tent was very clean and very nicely decorated. Instructions to get to the site were very clear. The only complaint I had about the site was the restroom situation was.. interesting and definitely a bit more difficult as a girl with knee problems.

Although we couldn’t stay at Christine camp because I forgot my medications a the previous stay during my trip which prompted me to go back. Christine tent look really comfortable, and the placed well kept. The communication with Christine is fast and she will go the extra mile if she needs to make sure your stay and her placed is of your liking.

Star View is a beautifully appointed tent that makes for a relaxing stop. My little dog and I stayed dry and cozy during a cold rainy night. In the morning, we enjoyed some snuggles in the comfortable couch before packing up and moving on. Ariana Acres is a lovely forest getaway, and we will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area. Christine is truly a gem. We had a lovely chat over cocoa, and I appreciate her sharing her land & her spirit with us!

Pros: - Can't beat the price! - Cute little gazebo bedroom with screens that zip/unzip on each side, "blackout" fabric that can be pulled back or let down on each side, and a comfy bed made up with love. - The night sky is dripping with stars! - Site is easy to navigate to (all paved roads) - Cell phone reception - Host responds quickly THINGS TO CONSIDER: - Bringing (TP just in case) - If you need to tinkle, you are doing it outside kind of wherever - Bringing earplugs - folks (neighbors? other guests?) were talking and a dog was barking late into the night - Manually typing the address into Google Maps instead of using the link in the hipcamp app

The Golden Bowl was absolutely beautiful! An incredible tent fully equipped. It also had a deck with a fire pit and kitchen counter that was added new. Compared to the camping options this is cheap and definitely worth the stay. A very cool experience to be glamping! Christine was a great host, incredibly kind and helpful to us. Thank you so much for our amazing stay!

This was my first time camping in a very long time and it was absolutely amazing. Christine is super personably, friendly, and quick to respond if you are having trouble with anything on your site. The tents have the comfiest beds and are decorated so cute. We will definitely be coming back soon!

I was looking for a place that embodied the spirit of camping more than glamping, and this was exactly what I wanted. While I didn't have to pitch my own tent and bring my own bedding because there is a large tent with a very comfortable king-sized bed and clean, soft comforters. I was spoiled in that aspect, as well as having access to a flat top, camping stove, a fire pit with plenty of wood, an outdoor counter, and a handwashing station. The camping part: this location has no running water (as of now), electricity, and uses a bucket and composting system for waste. While you don't have to bring your own water, as the host will have plenty of gallon-sized bottles filled with potable water, it doesn't hurt to bring your own drinking water. There is a private dirt pathway down the hill to your tent for parking; AWD recommended. Or you can park 150ft up the hill with 2-wheel drive. The tent is located in the lower section of the property and is secluded enough from others. At night, it's so serene as all you hear are the nighttime band of insects, hooting owls, and other night critters that may be about. In the tent, there's a clear window where you can stare into the night sky, and if you're lucky and it's a clear sky, you can get hypnotized by the stars as you fall asleep. Super dog-friendly too! The host is super awesome too! Great at communications and super accommodating. Highly Recommend!

Solid cheap coastal spot

A great spot for a single person to get a comfy bed to sleep in. There is plenty of space for two but I was happy it was just me and my dog. Compost bucket was easy to use. Be wary of hipcamp’s poor address capabilities and just type in the physical address, or you’ll be sent in the wrong direction. It has happened to me once before, so I do not blame the host. The app needs to fix their issues.
