Slide Ranch is a nonprofit organization established in 1970, becoming one of the first Park Partners in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Slide Ranch is located on the Marin coast, on land that has a rich history in connecting people to food. The Coast Miwok once fished and foraged for food at this site, and in the late 19th century Portuguese dairy farmers purchased the land and produced milk and butter for residents of San Francisco. In 1969, 134 acres of this fertile coastline were rescued from commercial development. Slide Ranch camping fees directly fund scholarships for youth programs throughout the year. Slide Ranch is an unpaved ranch environment. Our trails and garden paths all consist of uneven, sloping terrain, often muddy or soft ground during the winter season, and may be challenging to access for visitors with significant mobility restrictions. Minors aged 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult. No pets allowed; service animals are permitted. We do not have showering facilities or flush toilets. Water in all Slide Ranch taps is potable for refilling water bottles/jugs. Soap is provided for hand washing. Slide Ranch does not have any concessions on site. All of our sites are hike in sites. It's about a 1/4 mile hike on a small foot path. We have a wagon available for guests to use and we are happy to help you carry your things. We host a communal fire pit in the evenings, weather permitting, for all guests to enjoy, we do not allow open fires on the property. Cal Fire has requested that all campers get a permit, even to operate a gas stove. Water from our well is always available outside of the restaurant and bathrooms with running water are available during business hours. There is a fire trail along one of our ridge lines that offers stunning views of the San Antonio Valley as well as our abundant wildlife. We sometimes host speakers and educational workshops and guests are always welcome to participate in events. We loved our experience at Fancy camp in Tent #1! Sana and William created a beautiful campsite filled with all the things needed for a comfortable stay—peaceful surroundings, cozy bed, blankets, warming stove, games, farm fresh eggs, coffee, hot shower, and clean bathroom. From the tent you get stunning views of the forest and delightful daily visits from friendly goats roaming around munching at the vegetation. Bonus—the olive oil, pomegranate molasses, and spices sold at their farm stand are very delicious!

Amazing glamping spot. So much was taken care of that I didn't need to worry about putting things together. This made the experience even more peaceful and calming. Sana and Jairo were super helpful during booking, arrival, and the stay. I highly recommend this spot to anyone. It truly made for some wonderful family memories.

6 nights at Million Dollar Views Await

I was the first hip camper at this location. Amazing views of the valley below, farmland and ranches. During my stay, it was very windy and raining the first few days unfortunately so I didn’t get to see the views all the way to Sacramento until my last day. If you’re looking for quiet and remote away from town, this is your spot. A few things to note and I’ve shared with Darwin the property owner: -About a mile out the road in is gravel so it’s a bit bumpy but drivable for 2WD. -the driveway up is also gravel until you get to the barn and then it’s paved. There is a bit of a bump at that spot where it transitions to paved so just be careful and go slow.. -once at the top, there is a nice space for I’d say up to a 25 foot trailer. Anything larger is going to have trouble turning around. There were some low hanging branches at the top of the driveway that hit the top of my trailer on my way up, but he trimmed them before I left, which was great. -Darwin is very friendly and super helpful wanting to make sure my stay was a good one. He was kind enough to help me back in my trailer since it took a bit of maneuvering. -there is a water spigot and he has an extension cord for 110v power. He asked for suggestions, I gave him several like adding in a 30 amp outlet (summer heat for A/C) and he has the capability to put in a sewer drain closer to the parking spot. There is a proper drain, but it’s up against the house and there’s a pool fence to go through.

Always a dream to camp with my family at Slide Ranch. My son has been camping here since he was a toddler so he feels right at home. We set up camp and immediately headed down to the tide pools as the sun set. Warm and clear, though it was a windy start to the night so come prepared with layers and tent stakes. Weekend Trip to Kings Mountain Camp w/ ocean views

Loved everything about Sana and William’s - we were greeted by Meowsicle the cat upon our arrival, we enjoyed beautiful sunsets over the forest and ocean views straight from our tent, and ate farm fresh eggs every morning! We also loved being visited by the friendly goats (who loved chin scratches). Sana and William were both very friendly and helpful whenever we needed them. I would absolutely stay here again.

Tons of space. Beautiful farm. Bathroom clean with a fun partially outdoor shower. Overall, would recommend.

Weekend Trip to Slide Ranch

Unbeatable views, location, and wonderful trails. I also loved having the rolling carts to help get stuff to the site and the potable water coolers at the dome. I will be back. The only thing I think would be nice would be a privat place to hang up solar shower for people who are motivated to byo solar shower bag and fill up with water at the trailhead. Because the only limiting factor of not wanting to stay longer was feeling grimy.

The property is so special! This was a great little getaway. Beautiful views and walking paths all around. Exploring the boneyard was very cool. If you have kids, they will play in that area for hours. I would love to return.

Such a beautiful, accessible site! It feels remote when you’re out there, but it’s a short walk from your car. Slide ranch provides wheelbarrows so you can take your belongings to the campsite. I highly recommend this campsite if you have children and want to get the experience of Camping..

Weekend Trip to Kings Mountain Camp w/ ocean views

The tent cabins are built on the side of a steep hill so the trails down to them are rugged, but there are steps and railings to assist. The cabins are very comfortable and have everything you need. The goats are fun to interact with. The eggs from the chickens are really good. The view is spectacular and the hosts are extremely accommodating.
