Pack lots of water or drink from the river...just be sure to bring the equipment to sanitize. Stay active on the trails nearby. The 8.5 mile Lakes Hunter Trail will make one hell of a day trip skippin’ through the hardwoods and discovering little ponds and lakes along the way. Don’t sweat your days here away. Make sure to hop into the river to take a float on back or kayak!

There is a pasture located a quarter-mile away from an intentional living community known as Churning Rapids. We are the proud stewards and caretakers of this four-acre property. We have cultivated a thriving garden, raised chickens and other animals. Our efforts have enabled us to become more self-sufficient in terms of food and energy.
