If you have children, they are welcome to play with all of our boys, on their trampoline and play equipment, and enjoy the animals that live on our property as well.
There are countless amazing local stores, and many natural attractions to visit nearby to rock hound, hike, swim, boat, and fish. There is also, an extensive trail systems to enjoy on your bikes, quads, and sleds close by.

Your campsite is high and dry, easy to access by car and has ample parking.
The terrain is pink granite with soft spots for a tent or solid ground to park your trailer (sorry no hook ups or liquid waste removal). There's a picnic table, firewood and private toilet included. Whether you prefer to be in sun or shade, both are available at this site. As much as we are sheltered from the County road, traffic can be heard at times.

Jump on your favourite floatie and float your troubles away down the lazy river located just a short walk across the road at Kawartha Highlands Signature Park. If kayaking and canoeing are more your thing, you will be in awe of the beautiful scenery as you paddle along. This breathtaking park also offers self-guided tours of its history and landscape.
Three Pines Retreat is surrounded by lakes and trails and is only 3 km from the picturesque town of Buckhorn. Forget something or feel like dining out? Buckhorn hosts an LCBO, grocery stores and restaurants overlooking the locks. Pizza Alloro will lure you in for a delectable slice and Main St. Bar and Grill offers delicious fare and live entertainment. If you know anything about Kawartha Dairy ice cream you will be sure to stop at Buckhorn Ice Cream Parlour for a tasty treat.
Three Pines is just a 2 minute drive to Kawartha Winery and Belly's restaurant. The winery offers free tastings of its wonderful fruit wines and ciders and at certain times of the year they offer delicious wood-fired pizza. We also sell other local products. We let campers stay in our parking lot where they can enjoy a beautiful sunset and many hiking trail just minutes away from us.
We now have a bathroom available to you outside of store hours. Please note we are on a septic field system and no sanitary items, food or grease should go down the toilet or sink. Please do not wash your dishes in our bathroom. Please do not dispose your garbage in the bathroom garbage.

Campers can walk down to the river and maybe see a beaver hard at work. Campers will not be allowed to walk to the farm as insurance won't allow us to host campers when we do. Please do not drive around the building or pitch a tent on our septic field. There is a black mailbox by the front doors where we will put a welcome package for you. This has a map and websites of hiking trails and other businesses in the area . There is a lake about 12 min drive from us with a nice beach. We will provide a pick nick table, unless other campers are using it. A short walk from us is a small Catholic country church, and you can walk to the Slate River Bridge on Hwy 608 and on Hwy 61.

The public beach for swimming is a quick walk down Beach Road. It has a large dock, picnic tables, grassy area along with an portapotty. Or check out the sandbar and drop off at the boat launch at the end of the road. The lake has a diverse shoreline and perfect for small boats and kayaks. Enjoy beautiful sunsets overlooking the western end of the lake.

With pets
I enjoyed having the quiet time with the dogs. I was a short walk to Beaver Creek and was able to use her kayak and the little cabin to sit by the water out of the bugs. I took kayak for a short paddle and saw a coyote and racoon on shore. Later in the evening I saw 2 deer in the field by my site and the a beaver and crane in the water by the bridge. Natalie was super friendly and enjoyed meeting my dogs. Other then the mosquitoes at this time of year it was a great place to get away for a few days. Definitely would go back again.

We stayed with Wilma as our host for five nights, plugged into 30 Amp and used her excellent HipCamp to explore Sleeping Giant Provincial Park and beyond.
The adjacent Dairy was a huge plus. Outstanding local produce, every type of dairy and beyond, so we ate particularly well. Amd the Thunder Bay Cheese Company next door (that uses Wilmas milk) produces the best Gouda we have ever tasted.
Amd Wilma was able to provide a treasure trove of local information, from hikes to farmers markets and all points between.
Thunder Bay provides an excellent (free) dump station in town, plus the ability to fill up with potable water (open for the season from second Friday in May) and so we could refresh as we left, traveling East, to complete the Lake Superior loop.
PS: the nearby Fort William Heritage Site is well worth a visit, as are Kakabeka Falls.

10/10 will absolutely recommend it. We had peaceful quiet time at the bunkie. Natalie had a screened gazebo next to the waterfall so it was quite serene. She also provided us extra utensils to use on the bbq.

Nice new site near to Algonquin Park but with a lot less of a crowd than the parks campgrounds, very private sites. Friendly folks run the place as well. We only stayed one night but it was definitely a place to go again.

This campsite is at an amazing spot, not too far from town. It is very isolated between woods feels so good near nature .

We had an amazing experience at Gerry’s land and would definitely come back again. The campsite was beautiful, with stunning river views that made the stay extra special. Gerry was a fantastic host — very friendly, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful camping getaway

Campsite entrance was sketchy, cars bottoming out and thunderbox was visible from the road. Stumps across the campsite and no clearance to the waterfront. Unless you live locally I would not travel far to visit this campsite. Essentially a small clearance in a forest that you could find anywhere across Ontario. Only positive note is it was tranquil and secluded.

Loved staying at the dairy farm! Everyone was so nice and accommodating and friendly. Cant go wrong with fresh chocolate milk from the farm store 😇 we would love to stay again

It was a bit difficult to locate the campsite due to snow banks obstructing the view from the road. However once found the campsite was good, obviously not clear of snow but this is winter camping so no complains. I would reccomend.

Drove my Skoolie through a raging snow storm and Wilma was constantly checking in with me, which I found so thoughtful of her! Would have loved to meet her in person and seen the store so I’ll definitely be back!
