Welcome to Backwoods Cabins in Northbrook Ontario. Located directly on the Skootamatta River with your own private back lake thats the perfect spot for canoeing and fishing. At night be prepared to see thousands of stars and hear the sound of nature. My father in law does live on the property with his very friendly dog, Buddy. He is a homebody so it is very unlikely you will see him but Buddy will definitely come and say hello.Welcome to Henrys Cabin ! Located right on the beautiful Skootamatta River, this one bedroom open concept cabin has everything you need for a romantic night away with your significant other, or a family get away with you and the kids. The ideal spot for people who love the outdoors, with 30 acres to explore, there is a trail that takes you directly to a private back lake which is the perfect spot for fishing and canoeing. The cabin is located directly next to the E101 ATV and snowmobile trail.

Cozy and convenient

Henry's Cabin

We had a very nice time at Henry's Cabin. It felt peaceful and private, and offered plenty of conveniences (most of which are already listed in the description.) The only thing that came close to the feeling of "roughing it" was the lack of running water. This was disclosed in the description, of course, but my best tip to help future guests find more time to relax is, washing dishes becomes more time consuming than you might expect. Consider packing a good scrub sponge, rags, etc to make that process easier on yourself, and maybe bring/use paper plates as much as possible. We would definitely return in the future.

We loved our stay at Henry’s Cabin! It was a lovely cabin fully stocked with everything that we needed for the weekend! The land is beautiful and there’s lots of trails to explore! Melissa messaged back very quickly when my kiddo managed to lock us out, thanks Melissa!

Romantic cabin on the water

Henry's Cabin

This was such a beautiful place to stay! A wonderfully cozy cabin right on the water, stringed lights around the campfire and the peace and quiet made for such a lovely stay. We were able to canoe around the lake, and walk along the property without seeing anyone else, it felt very secluded and private. I can't say enough good things and can't wait to return. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!!
