The Ashton Creek convenience store and gas station has all your basic camping needs including ATV gas and propane (also a 5 minute walk). Access to hiking trails including a unique water fall nearby. Mabel Lake Resort, boat launch and Golf Club is a short 20 minute drive. Camping at Olich Creek Farm is unique and family friendly. Most of our rescued farm animals roam the property freely and absolutely love human visitors. Families with children will also enjoy the natural play areas the farm offers including a shallow creek and visits with our chickens and ducks. Your dogs or other small pets are permitted in the camping areas only as our herd is terrified of dogs. There is another large area (about 5 acres) where well-behaved dogs can run off leash. We have one RV site with septic, water and 50 Amp power and can fit a 40 foot unit and 2 totally private tent sites. There is a full washroom with tub/shower, toilet and wifi access in our old farmhouse which is complimentary during your stay. Should you find that your desired dates are already booked, please reach out to us as we may have a back up spot available. Please keep in mind we are an organic farm homestead that offers an agritourism experience. Enjoy a spacious riverside beach, great for swimming during the summer and fall & has world-class fishing. The area features Class I–IV rapids, ideal for whitewater kayaking, with Chilliwack River Rafting just minutes away. There isn't river access at the sites. The stairs to the beach are through the covered picnic shelter. There is now a light wire fence along the river in riverfront sites for some protection because of the drop-off & undercut banks (not shown in the pictures). We have an endless network of trails and logging roads, perfect for ATVs (ride directly out of our gate), hiking, and biking. Decourcy Meadows is a peaceful forested site within a short walking distance to a safe local swimming beach. We are an RV-only campsite. The site is level and can accommodate vehicles up to 40ft in length. Electrical, sewage, and potable water hookups included. Amenities include a picnic table, wifi and a fire ring and some fire wood supplied at no cost. If there is a campfire ban in effect we will provide a propane campfire. The property is about half natural forest and so it's not unusual to see local critters, large and small peeking out! There are several hiking trails in the area and local parks as well. There are 3 artisans on Decourcy Drive. The world-famous Crow and Gate pub is 4 km from here and the historic Wheat Sheaf Hotel (Pub) is about 5 km. Local restaurants and Cafes, Groceries, Pharmacy are 5 km. We are a quiet country getaway located 25 minutes from Nanaimo Departure Bay Ferry Terminal. Duke Point Terminal is about 20 minutes. Picturesque town of Ladysmith is about 25 minutes south and the very Unique town of Chemainus is 35 minutes and very worth seeing.

We are right in the middle of an extensive trail network perfect for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding. Both sites have plenty of space for RVs and trailers - we can accommodate vehicles up to 45ft in length. 30 amp Electrical and potable water hookups are available on both sites. WI-FI onsite as well. There is a flush toilet and sink available in our farm store that is available for guest use. No shower yet, but we are working on it! The property is private yet close to all amenities. Local favorite Rocking Horse Pub is a quick walk next door and a must-stop for dinner and drinks! Centrally located on Vancouver Island, it’s a perfect spot to set up the rig and day trip out to Rathtrevor, Little Qualicum, Parksville, Coombs, Port Alberni valley and Nanaimo, or go for an overnighter in Victoria, Tofino, Mount Washington and the Comox Valley. Campfires are permitted as long as there is no fire ban and we have dry firewood for sale onsite. If you would like firewood send us a message before you arrive. Pets are welcome, but please be responsible for them. There is a large open grass field for you to let them run and burn off that energy. On an alluvial fan supporting a wide spectrum of diversity in the transition zone leaving coastal mountain rain forest, on the edge of semi arid. Bordered on the East by the flowing waters of Lakshmi. To the South, historical Portage road and Mars Xing, my neighbours dovetail log cabin, dated 1859 was once known as Johnnies RoadHouse. To the West the flowing waters of Saraswati and beyond the "Labyrinth" of bluffs known as Juniper Ridge rises to the alpine. To the North primary old growth forest housing a web of game trails connecting Birkenhead lake Provincial Park. This land was horse logged in the 50's, a few elder mother trees remain standing. There are many zones and edges. Including eighty year old Douglas Fir, Cedar, Douglas and Vine Maple,Maturing Cherry orchards, thickets of shrubs and herbaceous ones offering flowers and berries to the many birds and bees.In more recent years there has been much terrace work done offering meadows and forested camp spots, along with continued cultivation of perennial and annual foods and medicinals.

With plenty of space for kids to explore and adults to relax, our 3 acre forest is perfect for down time with a book in the hammock or a nature walk before dinner. Amenities and service: A single, tidy campsite with picnic table surrounded by mature and gently manicured forest, as well as a hammock, and a new construction outhouse. (Go dad!) We love hospitality, so though we won’t always be around when you’re here, if we are and you need something you can simply ask and we’ll do our best to provide what you need. To help you feel welcome we provide a fresh, cool jug of drinking water and large container of fresh potable water as well as access to an outside tap to fill water containers if needed (upon request) , power to charge devices (upon request), and a campfire ring with firewood (sorry about the frequent fire bans. We were the first people to live on this land and have built everything you see since 2017. When we arrived there were no trees on the property and we have planted some in the campsites which are quite small but will one day be large and mighty. Enjoy 20 beautiful acres just 5 minutes out of Vernon. Close proximity to Kal Lake, Swan Lake and Lake Okanagan. Fantastic hiking trails, biking trails, and watersports close by. We currently have 7 dispersed sites. These sites are set up in a ring, each with their own fire pit when there is no fire ban. There are washrooms and showers at our shop just a little hike from the sites. The water is well water and quite soft, but it is potable. The skinny taps in the washrooms do have filtered water There is potable water for washing dishes ( warm and cold) at the taps on the outside of the shop - near the entrance door for the washrooms. We live on the property as well, up on the hill. We want everyone to have a wonderful experience but do also want you to have your privacy. We venture down to the sites periodically to check but do try to stay out of the way. We look forward to hosting you!

We enjoyed Decourcy Meadows place so much that we went back for a second stay at the end of our trip. Once again, everything was great! Rod and his wife were super accommodating. If you are looking for a quiet place with full hookups this should be on your list of places to check out!

I loved everything about this hipcamp. Beautiful and tranquil setting, nice shower and toilet facilities, wonderful host, excellent sauna followed by a cold plunge in the creek. Highly recommend!

1 night at Forest Hideaway

This was by far the BEST camping site ever! Everything was spotless and very easy to find. The facilities were super clean, especially the toilet, which was incredibly well maintained. The water jugs were very practical, and the site itself was quiet, private, and easy to access. The host was extremely kind and respectful, and he gave us great recommendations for places to visit that turned out to be amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Golden Riverfront Campground

Great location, quiet and easy access to the moonraker trails. The view of the Purcell mountains was amazing. Clean showers, fast wifi too. The staff was very friendly and helpful with tips on what to do and where to go. Bring bug repellent.

Such as great spot! We had very much space to park thé RV. Accualy we did not hear a thing, just thé sound of nature. The house of Lisa was about 400 meters away and everthing was taken Care for: water and electricity.

That place is lovely! Marc take care a lot that everything is clean, that you find the place and everything you need there. We had a warm welcome even when he was not home and there are adorable cats, joining us. Even the tree house is such a nice and funny place :) Highly recommend 👌
