Rick’s Hipcamp was spacious and quiet. Pretty surroundings, a convenient toilet/washroom, and great hot shower ($3 donation). He is friendly and responsive, so pleased that he offers his land for us to use!

Parfait pour une nuit, on peut y laisser ses équipements durant ses activités et revenir pour profiter du site avec un beau paysage. Les installations sanitaires sont peu nombreuses et basique, insuffisantes en cas d’affluence.

Nice place to enjoy just outside of Kamloops. Rick and his wife were hospitable and welcoming. There was plenty of space to move around and explore with our young one.
The flushing toilets and showers were a very welcome bonus along with access to firewood, ice, and small general store

Rick’s campground was the perfect spot for us to explore Kamloops for a few days. Not many campgrounds in the area have showers so this was an added bonus. Highly recommend!

Rick is always available to answer my questions and provide helpful information about the campground and surrounding area. We would highly recommend this campground and its excellent camp host twas our first time with my family & my sister family we did enjoy ♥️ priceless memories we spotted a deer or elk up by our camp 🏕️

Ric met us immediately on our arrival, was very welcoming and explained well the many features of the campsite. We had a very nice chat with him and his wife. They also have a store which stocks all the essentials and some very nice home made items. We bought a small try that my wife had been looking for to enjoy her tea on. They also provide coffee and I think Ric opened the store early so I could get my morning coffee - thanks again Ric.
The site itself is very nice in a large open grass field with great views of the surrounding countryside.
We also found in very easy to find with a big sign at the entrance.
Overall we had a great time.

This was a pastoral spot outside of town with lots of grass to set up camp. There's a sweet gazebo, firepit, covered outdoor dining area, washroom with flush toilet and running water, and a shower house. It was quiet, save for the lovely bird wake up call and a few cows mooing. If you have a reason to be in Kamloops for more than a day or two, I highly recommend Grandview Acres. It's very affordable.

Great first experience with Hipcamp. Rick's place had everything I needed (toilets, water, shower, WiFi, great views) whilst I was passing through the area. Also only a 10 minute drive into town. Would recommend to all!

We had a wonderful time at this campsite with beautiful views. We even had deer visit our side yard! Rick and his wife were very kind and welcoming hosts. The showers and toilets were clean and well-maintained. It’s quite hard to find campsites with flush toilets in the area, so we especially appreciated that.

We stayed 1 night at Rick’s place, very nice and quiet, we parked our van along the fence and had great views all around. We had a complete washroom at our disposal as well as a heated shower house. Highly recommended this place, we will be back for a longer stay next time!

We had a great one-night stay in early May. The place was not crowded- and we felt privileged to be on a working farm.
One pro-tip: put the address in to your GPS - don’t rely on the coordinates that are passed through to google maps. These will get you close as the crow flies- but on private property, and 10 minutes away from where you want to be.

Even though Grandview acres wasn’t technically open yet, both houses were extremely hospitable and welcoming to us when we stayed for one night in our self-contained RV. Both House came out to speak to us and we were incredibly lovely, we were very honoured to be the 1st to sign the 2025 guest book. Stunning views, incredibly peaceful, and can see why people would want to come back again and again.

His field is amazing. Beautiful stay at his place. He was very fast on answering his messages. We had the full moon at night and a full rainbow in the morning... Magical !

Grandview Acres was a great place for us to set up camp for the night. Nice, grassy field with lots of space. Great facilities - bathroom and hot shower was everything we needed. Much, much nicer than other alternatives in the area!

This is our second time staying and both times we had a good experience. The site has lots of choices for spots, is a huge grassy space and has lots of room for the dog to run (she didn't want to leave). The host is nice to visit with and the other guests were all chill.
For us having no hook ups was a non issue especially considering there is a running water bathroom and separate shower.
Close to town with a country feel (cows, sheep and chickens) we will be back again. Thanks Rick for the nice stay.
