The ranch has ten 30 amp power sites with lots of room to turn around and most you can drive right through without having to back up. Views of mountains in every direction with lots of wild birds in the area. We have horses, cows, sheep, chickens, dogs and cats at the ranch. The small working ranch is in the Rocky mountain trench with the Rocky Mountains to the east the Caribou range to the east and the Monashee Mountains to the south. Maps available in Pictures. Shower and water available in ranch yard water tap is on the south side of the ranch house. Nearby activities include hiking, biking( bike rentals available in town), climbing, fishing, paddling. The site is 20 minutes from Mount Robson Provincial Park (Berg Lake trailhead) and just over an hour to Jasper National Park. Valemount townsite is 15 minutes away and is home to a renowned mountain bike park, and excellent restaurants such as the Glacier fire Pizza. Please take the time to read any posted signs regarding rules of the ranch, speed limits, etc, and do not leave a trace. Please bring your garbage, tissues and cans with you. There is a local transfer station just 10 minutes south of us outside the village of Valemount. Please respect our home. Fresh farm eggs may be available. Pony Rides might be available. We have eight RV specific campsites (up to 40ft x 25ft) plus overflow camper and tenting spots. Our property spans 19 beautiful acres with panoramic lake views, located just minutes from historic downtown Salmon Arm. The foreshore trail runs below the property which is great for walking or biking through the bird sanctuary and over the boardwalks Each site includes a picnic table and a wood-burning fire pit (for use when permitted). Guests also have access to a communal outdoor kitchen area with a dishwashing station, fridge, barbecue, and smoker. Potable water, a washing machine and hot showers are included in the nightly rate. We provide clean porta-potty toilets. Trash removal is the responsibility of each guest. The sites are natural and mostly level they are not manicured. All campsites are easily accessible and offer amazing lake views. Canoe Beach Park and its boat launch and sandy beach are just a short 10-minute drive along the lakeshore and the downtown pier and boat launch is a 5-minute drive. I do have a site map that I will post in the photos. We strive to provide a place to enjoy the peace & quiet of nature, so it's not a place to party or have music loud enough for neighbours to hear. Nestled in the heart of the Tamihi Recreational Area, just 20 minutes from town, our property offers a rare blend of seclusion and adventure. Surrounded on three sides by lush, moss-draped forest & bordered on the fourth by the stunning Chilliwack River, it’s a true nature lover’s paradise. Enjoy a spacious riverside beach, great for swimming during the summer & fall & world-class fishing. The area features Class I–IV rapids for whitewater kayaking, with Chilliwack River Rafting just 5 or so minutes away. You can ATV right out of our gate onto unlimited logging roads and trails or hike the Trans Canada Trail 3 blocks from our gate. There isn't river access at the sites. The stairs to the beach are through the picnic shelter. There is a light wire fence along the river in riverfront sites for protection due to a drop-off and undercut banks. ATV's are idle in - idle out. QUIET, well-mannered, leashed pets are welcome if you pick up after them and not leave them unattended. LONG WEEKENDS are a minimum of 3 nights. CHILDREN MUST be accompanied by a parent at all times! FIREWOOD is $9. for a large feed bag full & is available between 9 AM and 8 PM. WATER: We do have a non-potable water tap in the park. I'm not allowed to say that the water at the waterfall/creek is good water - so I won't. BEEF and EGGS: We have grass-fed Black Angus beef jerky for sale (this cow was treated as a pet until her time & was dispatched on the farm to avoid stress). We occasionally have eggs from our pastured chickens. Our free-range kind, gentle horses also wander the property. Any interactions with them are at your own risk! The gate must be kept closed because of them.

This is a quiet forested residential area in Sinixt territory. Recommended activities include floating down the river, canoeing the lake, hiking or climbing in Valhalla Park, soaking in Halfway Hot Springs or indulging in Nelson. We are surrounded by beautiful mountains and rivers. This valley has many outdoor activities and events and a very interesting history and culture including Sinixt, Doukhobor, Cannabis and Conscientious Objector. Nelson, Castlegar and Slocan Lake are all a half hour drive away. There are many other special places nearby such as the Goddess Pools and the Emerald Pools. Supplies and services are available nearby including firewood, toiletries, dog day care, massage, bike and canoe rentals, life jackets, rubber dingys and paddles etc. Let us know if you would like a referral to any of these services. There are many guides available for activities in the area including (water sports, climbing, skiing, hiking, artist tours, events, geology, mining, mushrooms, cannabis, garden tours and native history). You don't need one to get here, but its good to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle for some of the logging roads that are worth visiting. Roof and/or bike racks can also come in handy. The Vallican Whole Community Centre also has events nearby.

Weekend Trip to Valhalla Pines Campground

It was my second time visiting this hipcamp! It was nice to be in a beautiful and familiar spot. The other campers were friendly and I appreciated having the building to take cover in when a rainstorm came through. Nicely situated in between Slocan Lake and Nelson, giving you the chance to explore some great spots in either direction.

It was a beautiful spot for camping. We spent two days there at the RV site. It was quiet and clean. Jim was really pleasant to talk to and gave us some great tips on where to go to for local attractions. Would definitely come back here.

We only stayed for one night last minute and so glad we did. Lovely quiet campground, we were the only ones there! We got up early and made use of the (free) kayaks and it was the most perfect morning on our trip. Thank you so much for your lovely hospitality and having us stay! Tip to those coming- bring bug spray for the mosquitoes! We were glad we came prepared :)

Hands down this is the most unique Hipcamp you will ever visit! Susan and Tony offer a variety of units. Our cabin was spotlessly clean and fully stocked with essentials and featured its own bathroom. We deeply appreciated their focus on sustainability and loved getting to learn about their earthship design. Between hiking and paddleboarding on the nearby lakes, the location has so much to offer. We 💯 recommend their Hipcamp and are already planning a longer return trip!

It was a bit difficult to find the place, then the site I booked was not available 😔, after I phone Deborah, she quickly offered me another spot which is closer to the beach but no river view. Staffs are friendly and good helped the river it's amazing. If you're enjoy the quiet campsite, this is a good one for you. I heard nothing at nights besides the river. We would like to come back and experience the cute cabin in the future.

Weekend Trip to Canadian Rockies Retreat

We had a great stay here. Definitely need to have a full self-contained set up though. It was peaceful and had nice views of the creek and mountains. As others have said there are a few horse groups that go past but this didn’t bother us at all. It is near to a road but there was minimal traffic, possibly as we were staying over the weekend. Had the place to ourselves for two nights and it was a great stop for nearby trails and exploring further than the main icefields parkway touristy spots.

Had such a nice stay here! Teepee is exactly as pictured and very nice inside. We had the most comfortable sleeps here!! The view is spectacular!! Outhouse was new and clean and did not smell like an outhouse at all! Smelled of freshly cut wood! You absolutely must stop at the doughnut shop 5 minutes up the street, best doughnut I’ve ever had. Our car couldn’t make it up the hill like others have mentioned but it wasn’t a problem for us bc we travel pretty light. The family was very helpful and her boys offered to help us carry our heavy stuff from the parking lot, which is less than a three minute walk. We can’t wait to come back here next year!!!

We loved camping here! We were the only campers and it was so peaceful with a gorgeous view. The amenities are fantastic. Nice warm showers and a cute cooking area. Even though we didn’t use it, it looked like it had everything you could need! I would definitely camp here again. Thanks Takis!
