1 night at Riverside King Valley

A lovely Hipcamp witg King River winding near the campsite. Good swimming here. Lovely sites, only three powered sites but others are just as good. If you have an off grid caravan or camping, you can park at the other sites. Lovely hosts. Pets welcomed.

1 night at Hazelnut Valley Farm Stay

It was a beautiful venue, and Bernie took us straight to the camp site. Would be a great spot to take a young family or any family!

Bubbling brook / creek behind the property. We loved it. Loretta greeted us at the gate w the code to get through. Highly recommend for a peaceful bush experience

Second visit to Riverside and it’s one of my favourite spots. Beautiful and expansive site next to the river, wood and camp fire cooking set delivered on arrival, delicious meat goods available for purchase and lovely owners who are always up for a chat. All the joys of bush-camping with the luxury of a toilet and shower! Everything you could want - thanks Jeremy and Daemon :)

3 nights at Rodborough Vale

My dog and I enjoyed our 3 nights at Blue Stone Barn site, Rodborough Vale. It was easy to find with good signage and Mark is a very good host. There was some kindling left for us at the fire pit and the ground is quite level at our site, great for tent or vehicle camping. It was good to be able to for long walks around the property, especially along the river. The property is also close to Maryborough which is convenient if you need to pick up supplies.

Weekend Trip to High Country Paradise

Stunning view of the mountain. Very quiet and well maintained camping spot. Great distance between other campers. Stream is a huge plus for kids to have a splash. Will definitely come back to camp next time

Weekend Trip to Bimbimbi River Camp

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Bimbimbi and can’t recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, Ian, our host, made us feel right at home. He was welcoming, helpful, and clearly puts a lot of care into making the site a peaceful, well-kept retreat. He made us feel welcome as soon as we met at his farm stay. Will be coming back definitely. Highly recommend. Thank you Ian and family. We hope to come back again soon.

1 night at Strath Creek Station

We absolutely loved camping at this stunning campsite that we came back again after 2 weeks. First time was a full moon which was a really beautiful sight, and the next time it was a new moon and I think it had been decades since I'd seen that many stars. Both stays were highlights of our Australian trip. Hosts are super friendly, and everything is clean, and the creek access is also very special. Will definitely stay here again next year.

An absolutely stunning site, in a gorgeous part of Victoria. The site was incredibly private, nice and flat and had easy access to the river. The hosts were really welcoming and accomodating. We loved it so much that we stayed an extra night. Highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to Badgery Point

Absolutely loved our stay at Badgery Point! Easy to find with Prue's instructions, there were other campers on the property but we only ever saw anyone when they were leaving. It would definitely be a Kangaroo lovers delight! We were surrounded but they never entered camp. Quite a few ants but it did rain our first day so not too surprised they were out, they also seemed to leave us alone though. We will be back and probably with the extended family!!

We stopped here for 1 night on our way back to Melbourne after being on the road for 10 days is was a perfect stop to ease our way back into Melbourne being just over an hour out

Amazing place to stay, we stayed over a public holiday weekend and it was nice and quiet, Loads of room, super friendly owners Great for our dog! Surfed every day and easy access to whatever break is going!

Weekend Trip to Wattle Point Farm

We Loved our overnight stay. We stayed at Site 2 but all are absolutely lakeside and very private from each other. As we were only in transit it was perfect to be able to keep the camper connected and pull up metres from the lakes edge. The site had chairs, table, bench seat and a fire pit (wood supplied). Couldn’t have asked for any more and the tranquil lake views were awesome. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer. Thanks Graeme and Carol - you’ve created a lovely hipcamp

A working sheep property with some cropping, It is home to the well known Rodvale Border Leicester Stud. Farming in harmony with the native fauna and flora, guests may be able to spot many native species including platypus, wedge tail eagles, kookaburra and many more. Fronting Deep Creek, guests have access to fishing or just sit and listen to the crystal clear water meandering past the campsites. The Fern Glade

Nestled right beside the Murrundini River, all 3 campsites are beside the river, and well spaced apart for privacy and peace. Campsite 2 (site two) is shady, surrounded by tall swamp gums, black wood wattles and tree ferns. This spot is at its best from late spring through to autumn . Site One is a large flat area beside the river that is good all year round. It has fencing and gates, perfect to let dogs run free without going too far. Site 3 (Craig's flat), is a large open campsite, able to take more camper-vans/ tents with plenty of space. All sites have fire places and gas BBQ's (byo gas bottle) And there are plenty of fish for those that want to try their luck. The original home stead (built in 1876) burnt down in the 2009 black Saturday fires. There still remains many 150+ year old elms and other European trees near the toilet block, which are delightful in autumn. We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them. Amazing, abundant and rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. (see guests photos). With no light pollution this is the ideal spot for star gazing.

We also allow campfires only when fire restrictions aren't in place - which is often all summer. Children under 3 are free, but for insurance purposes, please mention them in the comments. Day visitors are $20 per person, which incudes a donkey patting session. This property has an overall capacity to ensure that our number of visitors remain low. This not only ensures that campers recieve the space and peace they look for in a campsite like this, but also so that we can ensure the bathrooms can be kept clean and not overloaded. This is also a part of our COVID safe plan. Due to this overall capacity it is important that you book for the number of people that you intend to have stay, as while we try to accomodate increases to booking numbers, they are not guaranteed unless booked. If we have met overall capacity then we may not be able to approve increases to booking numbers. This is for the comfort and safety of all our visitors. Our property, "Seven Hills Tallarook", sits high above Tallarook with deep valleys and high peaks, just over one hour North of Melbourne's CBD. The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks. We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies. Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible. Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by. Additionally, we have now entered our Fire Danger Period for the 2024/2025 Summer Season. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely on the day and we will advise as such. Bimbimbi River Camp

Bimbimbi is located at the free flowing, clear beginning of the Murray River, at Tintaldra. We have 5 separate sites. Each site is for a single group, so you know you will only have yourselves in close proximity. Each site has access to the river, although The Fishing Hole, River Red Gums and The Big Bend have better access than The Willows and The Old Pump Hole. Swimming, fishing for Murray Cod, hiking along the river bank (we have 3km of frontage), bird watching, relaxing are typical things to do here. Or, if you are more adventurous, borrow our canoes and do a down river trip, or go for a longer hike up Pine Mountain in the Pine Mountain National Park. Or, bring your mountain or road bikes and do some cycling on the picturesque roads and trails. The Big Bend is the most open camping site suitable for larger groups. Access to the river for swimming is good. This site is accessible to 2-wheel drive vehicles. The Fishing Hole is our most remote location, accessible during the summer by high clearance 2-wheel drive vehicles but 4-wheel drive is highly recommended. There is good access to the river here for swimming. This site is clothing optional. You are basically on your own in a remote place. Wear whatever you like, including nothing at all. River Red Gums is a single campsite, also remote and primitive, accessible by high clearance 2-wheel drive vehicles during dry weather. Again, 4 wheel drive is recommended. Access to the river is easy and the bank slopes gently down making it a great place for swimming. This site is also clothing optional. The Old Pump Hole is upstream of all the other camp sites. It is the easiest to access. Most vehicles will get to this site. The bank here is steeper so swimming is not as easy. However, always improvising, campers at this location jump in here with their li-los, inner tubes and other flotation devices and float down to The Big Bend, get out and then come back and do it again. This is an area set on a small hill overlooking the river, as shown in the photos. The Willows, our newest site, is between The Big Bed and River Red Gums, set under the shade of some willows a few metres from the river bank. The bank here is also steep, but again, campers can hop into the river here and float down to River Red Gums, or walk either to River Red Gums or The Big Bend for swimming. The Willows is also clothing optional. The campsites are well spaced out, with a minimum of 200 metres between the nearest two locations. In fact, it either impossible or very difficult to see anyone else at the other camp sites from your own camp site. Each camp site is accessible via its own track, so you won't have other vehicles driving past your camp site. We have a Leave No Trace policy, please take all rubbish with you. (This also means not throwing bottles, cans, bottle tops, aluminium foil and other non-biodegradable items into the camp fire.) Dogs are allowed, but please keep them under control, particularly if near cattle. Campfires are allowed only in braziers provided, when fire bans are not in place. You can gather your own firewood or purchase firewood from us (see "Extras"). Please arrive before dark if you haven't been here before. It is difficult to understand a new camp site in the dark. We provide a toilet at each location, for your convenience and the cleanliness of the camp site in general. Nothing but your human deposit and toilet paper in the toilet please. No disposable wipes, nappies etc. Please put these in your trash. Also, bring your drone but use it only over locations that are not occupied. We have canoes to borrow and seasonal produce is available from the garden. And, again, wood for purchase if you don't want to gather your own. Please see "Extras"

Only minutes from town where you will find supplies, close to the local swimming pool and 10 minutes from a popular watering hole. Enjoy all that Bendigo and surrounding areas have to offer, check out the historic gold mining attractions and come home to rest in a tranquil setting amongst the trees, the birds and the stars. Bendigo itself features some fantastic heritage architecture and a creative community. Be sure to check out coffee houses down little laneways and the many culinary options of the restaurants in town.
