During busy times, most weekend bookings are a minimum of 2 nights with 1 night bookings during the week, however occasionally we will have 1 night bookings on weekends. Check with your host to see availability on 1 night bookings.
All campsites run parallel too the creek and are situated on the upper bank of Yabba Creek. Some have creek views, the other sites have trees between the creek and their site. All have mountain views. The main access to the creek is half way along the campground between site 8 and 9. Please do not leave your car parked in the walkway as this will block the entrance to campsite 9. Unfortunately, we lost many of our creek access points due to flooding.
Our property is situated between Imbil and Lake Borumba on the beautiful Yabba Creek.
We have 110 acres, with campsites on 20 acres.
We have 1km of creek frontage.
The creek offers fishing, swimming and kayaking. If you're lucky you'll spot the platypus in the creek and there's lots of birdlife around so bring your cameras! Kayaks are supplied free for all campers to use. We just ask that you treat them with respect and return them back to their launching place once you have finished with them.
It would pay to pack your reef walkers as the river is rocky in spots.
There is lots of space for motorhomes and large camping vehicles to maneuver and park. Plenty of flat spots for your tent or vehicle.
This campsite has access to flushing toilets (toilets are situated approx. 400m from the camp sites) and water (rainwater), but you will need to bring your own camping shower.
Campfires are permitted outside of fire-ban season (please use the existing firepits).
The property features a gorgeous rainforest with a walking track that you can follow safely, and you can also access the state forest next door if you're up for a bigger adventure.
Lake Borumba is just down the road which permits water skiing, boating, fishing and other water recreation.
The town ship of Imbil is only 7 minutes away where you can visit the many cafes, bakeries, The Imbil pub, Sunday markets, Produce and hardware store, supermarket, butcher, clothing shops, hairdresser, fishing supplies, Petrol station, post office and more.
We are a working cattle and horse property but we do allow pets, however pet owners will need to abide by the rules as set out under the Rules and Safety "Pets" section.
Please note that there is a rifle range within hearing distance from Maluka Park and campers may at times on weekends hear gunshots. This generally only goes for a few hours.

The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve.
We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking.
Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome.
The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping.
The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property.
The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic
Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day.
There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Above, birds of prey ride the thermals of the valley looking for their next meal.

This farm has been used as a working farm for around 40 years. This area is where the government planned a dam so generally we have water in the creeks. Most of the camp sites border the creek and all are designed to take caravans.
The house was the original Amamoor Head Ranger, Forestry division, home which was cut in two and relocated from town
up to the top of our hill. From here during the bush fire season you can see fires from Widgee, Kilcoy or the Sunshine Coast. We run on solar and rain water for everything in the house and creek or dam water for our orchards and gardens.
We run a variety of animals and several small orchards as well. Our creek runs into another near this causeway which leads to lots of water in a short time where it sounds like you are living on a beach. Always check with us beforehand if there has been heavy rain and there are several creeks in this area which leads to a rapid build up of water in a short time over many of the causeways out here. When there is water around, the creek will have lots of little fish and a large variety of frogs, some very weird looking ones to study.
While there are many animals on the farm, there are also wild animals who use it as their home and refuge so your pets
must be kept safe with you at night.
Swimming pool on the farm can be used if requested through booking.

Creekside Camp (our main camping area)
is relatively flat, well drained sites along a creek that usually runs. This area offers multiple composting toilets and wood powered hot water bush shower and outdoor bath. There is also a large permanent deep waterhole a short distance from this camping area.
We have temporarily paused out Hill camp sites, due to continuing property maintenance and improvements. Borumba Dam is 4.5kms up the road. It is perfect for boating enthusiasts who want to fish or do various water sports.
The property has a large modern ammenities block.

Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. There is also no charge or fee to use the court. On most Sundays afternoons (weather permitting), we have social tennis where everyone is welcome to join in.
The old school toilet blocks have the addition of hot showers and all toilet facilities are the flushing type.
Campfires are permitted and there are small mobile fire pits provided so wherever you set up camp you can have your campfire right beside you.
Note: There are no ground fires permitted and at certain times of the year Qld Rural Fire brigade may enforce a total fire ban.

Come play in the creek, explore the swimming holes in what feels like a secluded rainforest, good fun for kids on push bikes, plenty of room for pets, set up bocce ball, relax under big shade trees, enjoy lots of walks teaming with wildlife, lots of beautiful scenery, and finish the night under the stars around a camp fire.
Free piles of kindling, so help yourself!
2 fire rings are provided. Firewood can be delivered, $10 a bag (please preorder), and you're also welcome to bring your own fire pit if you prefer.
You are required to be fully self sufficient with your own toilet - No exceptions - Please respect the beautiful environment, and for future campers like yourself. You must take ALL waste with you when you leave.
2WD is suitable for terrain, AWD and 4WD is reccomended.
Pets very welcome!! Please keep them close to you at night, and you MUST clean up and remove all animal waste.
Located in the 'Blue Bell' area 7 mins from the Gympie Music Muster, 25 mins from the towns of Amamoor and Kandanga, and 40 mins south west of Gympie. ‘Blue Bell’ borders and overlooks large areas of Amamoor State Forest and Forest Reserve covering over 7,000 hectares (17,000 acres). Amamoor State Forest includes dry forests, riverine forests, and hoop & bunya pine plantations - some of the finest hoop pine in Qld.
This beautiful area of Amamoor Creek is a well known habitat for platypus, plus lots of stunning wildlife and more than 120 bird species in the surrounding forests.
There is a big 24 hr Puma petrol station at the turn off from the Bruce Hwy with a number of fast food options, toilets and kids playground. In addition, there is a sizeable General Store in Amamoor that is open Sat: 7am-7pm, Sun: 7am-3pm and Mon-Fri: 6am-7pm, and the Village Green Cafe Amamoor next to the Mary Valley Rattler train tracks.

During busy times, most weekend bookings are a minimum of 2 nights with 1 night bookings during the week, however occasionally we will have 1 night bookings on weekends. Check with your host to see availability on 1 night bookings.
All campsites run parallel too the creek and are situated on the upper bank of Yabba Creek. Some have creek views, the other sites have trees between the creek and their site. All have mountain views. The main access to the creek is half way along the campground between site 8 and 9. Please do not leave your car parked in the walkway as this will block the entrance to campsite 9. Unfortunately, we lost many of our creek access points due to flooding.
Our property is situated between Imbil and Lake Borumba on the beautiful Yabba Creek.
We have 110 acres, with campsites on 20 acres.
We have 1km of creek frontage.
The creek offers fishing, swimming and kayaking. If you're lucky you'll spot the platypus in the creek and there's lots of birdlife around so bring your cameras! Kayaks are supplied free for all campers to use. We just ask that you treat them with respect and return them back to their launching place once you have finished with them.
It would pay to pack your reef walkers as the river is rocky in spots.
There is lots of space for motorhomes and large camping vehicles to maneuver and park. Plenty of flat spots for your tent or vehicle.
This campsite has access to flushing toilets (toilets are situated approx. 400m from the camp sites) and water (rainwater), but you will need to bring your own camping shower.
Campfires are permitted outside of fire-ban season (please use the existing firepits).
The property features a gorgeous rainforest with a walking track that you can follow safely, and you can also access the state forest next door if you're up for a bigger adventure.
Lake Borumba is just down the road which permits water skiing, boating, fishing and other water recreation.
The town ship of Imbil is only 7 minutes away where you can visit the many cafes, bakeries, The Imbil pub, Sunday markets, Produce and hardware store, supermarket, butcher, clothing shops, hairdresser, fishing supplies, Petrol station, post office and more.
We are a working cattle and horse property but we do allow pets, however pet owners will need to abide by the rules as set out under the Rules and Safety "Pets" section.
Please note that there is a rifle range within hearing distance from Maluka Park and campers may at times on weekends hear gunshots. This generally only goes for a few hours.

The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve.
We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking.
Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome.
The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping.
The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property.
The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic
Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day.
There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Above, birds of prey ride the thermals of the valley looking for their next meal.

This farm has been used as a working farm for around 40 years. This area is where the government planned a dam so generally we have water in the creeks. Most of the camp sites border the creek and all are designed to take caravans.
The house was the original Amamoor Head Ranger, Forestry division, home which was cut in two and relocated from town
up to the top of our hill. From here during the bush fire season you can see fires from Widgee, Kilcoy or the Sunshine Coast. We run on solar and rain water for everything in the house and creek or dam water for our orchards and gardens.
We run a variety of animals and several small orchards as well. Our creek runs into another near this causeway which leads to lots of water in a short time where it sounds like you are living on a beach. Always check with us beforehand if there has been heavy rain and there are several creeks in this area which leads to a rapid build up of water in a short time over many of the causeways out here. When there is water around, the creek will have lots of little fish and a large variety of frogs, some very weird looking ones to study.
While there are many animals on the farm, there are also wild animals who use it as their home and refuge so your pets
must be kept safe with you at night.
Swimming pool on the farm can be used if requested through booking.

Borumba Dam is 4.5kms up the road. It is perfect for boating enthusiasts who want to fish or do various water sports.

Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. There is also no charge or fee to use the court. On most Sundays afternoons (weather permitting), we have social tennis where everyone is welcome to join in.
The old school toilet blocks have the addition of hot showers and all toilet facilities are the flushing type.
Campfires are permitted and there are small mobile fire pits provided so wherever you set up camp you can have your campfire right beside you.
Note: There are no ground fires permitted and at certain times of the year Qld Rural Fire brigade may enforce a total fire ban.
We have our “Caffeine Injection” kiosk on-site for the weekends and school holidays. Get your morning caffeine fix as well as bagged ice, firewood, ice creams, snacks, cold drinks etc etc
Then we have the old school principals residence aka “The Bush Holiday House“. It is fully self-contained and all linen is provided.
Just BYO food & drinks. We offer this for one night stays and longer.
Jimna is a tiny town immersed in the Australian bush; with nearby gorges, ravines, creeks and waterfalls - some wild & spectacular places to see.
What better place to base yourself and explore our part of the Conondale National Park, Jimna State Forest... be it on foot, horseback, motorcycle, 4x4 or mountain bike!!

This spot is perfect for the horse riders, dirt bike riders, atv/utv riders and 4x4 lovers as you are surrounded by state forest, where thousands of designated tracks are waiting to be explored.
No neighbours anywhere near you. Easy access off Amamoor Creek Road, which is a dead end dirt road with more cattle than cars :-)
Come play in the creek, explore the swimming holes in what feels like a secluded rainforest, good fun for kids on push bikes, plenty of room for pets, set up bocce ball, relax under big shade trees, enjoy lots of walks teaming with wildlife, lots of beautiful scenery, and finish the night under the stars around a camp fire.
Free piles of kindling, so help yourself!
2 fire rings are provided. Firewood can be delivered, $10 a bag (please preorder), and you're also welcome to bring your own fire pit if you prefer.
You are required to be fully self sufficient with your own toilet - No exceptions - Please respect the beautiful environment, and for future campers like yourself. You must take ALL waste with you when you leave.
2WD is suitable for terrain, AWD and 4WD is reccomended.
Pets very welcome!! Please keep them close to you at night, and you MUST clean up and remove all animal waste.
Located in the 'Blue Bell' area 7 mins from the Gympie Music Muster, 25 mins from the towns of Amamoor and Kandanga, and 40 mins south west of Gympie. ‘Blue Bell’ borders and overlooks large areas of Amamoor State Forest and Forest Reserve covering over 7,000 hectares (17,000 acres). Amamoor State Forest includes dry forests, riverine forests, and hoop & bunya pine plantations - some of the finest hoop pine in Qld.
This beautiful area of Amamoor Creek is a well known habitat for platypus, plus lots of stunning wildlife and more than 120 bird species in the surrounding forests.
There is a big 24 hr Puma petrol station at the turn off from the Bruce Hwy with a number of fast food options, toilets and kids playground. In addition, there is a sizeable General Store in Amamoor that is open Sat: 7am-7pm, Sun: 7am-3pm and Mon-Fri: 6am-7pm, and the Village Green Cafe Amamoor next to the Mary Valley Rattler train tracks.

On arrival we were meet by the owner Paul & he’s dogs ,he showed us ,where our site was,with the access driveway to camp site freshly made. A nice & very secluded camp site (2) very well maintained beside the creek which was flowing but very low as it’s the dry season
They was a nice swimming hole,with a bit a rough track to it
Also a great eco toilet hut

Very happy with this quiet and bushy property plus a nice waterhole to cool down in. And hard to believe upto entering the property, this place had the flashest dunny i've seen this side of the border 😁.
The host was great and very accommodating.

Hope Valley is a beautiful place to camp. We stayed at Pilgrims Rest site, and we were right on the edge of the creek.
The separation of the sites in my opinion is fantastic. I couldn't hear anything other than the sound of nature and the creek flowing.
The drive in along Amamoor Creek Road has some great views, but be aware of livestock as they can sit pretty close to edge of the road.
Anita is a great host. She stopped in and said hello shortly after we arrived.
Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about this place at all. This was our first Hipcamp experience and I'm glad I chose this one as a starting point.

Magical place with heaps of room on campsites. Good amount of shade/sun shared throughout the day. Looking directly at the tree covered mountain from campsite was an awesome backdrop. Dean was a pleasure to deal with and very friendly and helpful. Kayaks are an added bonus you get when camping here in which you can take down the creek giving you a great peaceful paddle along the base of the mountain. Will be heading back there in the future 100%.

Greatly enjoyed camping at Mountain View at Yabba Creek Farm. Plenty of space, and the very useful shelter structure for extra space and shade… even a spot with a cold “shower” and an outside sink with town water access. The clever side “gate” on the structure also allowed to close it us for some shade in the morning, or to open up for some sure flow. When the fireplace is all hooked up, it will be a great addition in that space in the cooler months.
A reasonably short walk to turn well maintained porta-loos, and a still stroll down to the Yabba creek for a swim with the dogs, or a paddle in one of the free-to-use kayaks. A wonderful sized swimming hole, and a really enjoyable place to swim.
I did find the Mountain View site could have done with a couple of trees for more shade on hot days, but the added shelter s structure certainly helps with that. This site is located at the end of the property, making it more private, and well spaced out from other sites… particularly good with our dogs.
Loved our stay! Hope to come back again.

Kaylea and Dean’s property is amazing. So thoughtfully set out and everything you need is supplied, bush shower, toilet, water and kayaks to explore the creek and hopefully spot a platypus.
They will even bring you firewood to your campsite if requested. The ecosystem is so diverse and healthy. We spotted many birds including the azure kingfisher. Set in the beautiful Mary Valley, this place is a must do .

A group of 4 x families stayed here for a couple of nights at the end December. Plenty of room for our children to run around and lots to do between exploring the creek and interacting with the farm animals. Stephen and his wife were very accommodating, we loved our time here, definitely will be back.

Paul was a friendly host! We stayed on site 4, very private, beautiful quiet bush surroundings and I dog loved being able to scout around off leash. Very neat and well kept site. The creek unfortunately is dry. The compost toilet was great and very clean. Firewood was available .We enjoyed our relaxing 3 day stay.

We booked site 7 for four nights. We have a 4x4 and a 4.5m camper trailer. We fitted perfectly on this site. Paul had wood for sale which burnt well. The fireplace was well placed.
The area was private and the site was large. There are minimal site's here which we found was a real drawcard for us. We slept like babies for the entire stay.
We took our dog along and she was allowed to run off lead which was a real plus.
There is lovely swimming hole just near site 6 which was very refreshing for swim and a play pool for the dog.

We spent the Christmas holidays camping at Yabba Creek Farm and couldn’t have asked for a batter experience. The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming and approachable, which made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.
The farm is beautifully maintained, with spotlessly clean amenities and a lovely, peaceful atmosphere. With only six sites, it never felt crowded - just relaxed and quiet, exactly what we were hoping for. We stay at the “Silky Oaks” site which had water hookup which is a nice bonus, making our 10 day stay with our caravan comfortable and easy.
One of the highlights was definitely the kayaks. The kids absolutely loved exploring the creek and we parents had just as much joining in. It was such a special way to sound time together and enjoy the natural surroundings.
All in all, Yabba Creek Farm was the perfect place to unwind, reconnect, and enjoy a truly memorable Christmas camping holiday. Highly recommend - we’ll definitely be back!

I needed a break away from the hustle and bustle of the city and Jimna Base Camp was the absolute perfect location! Spotlessly clean amenities and plenty of room. Peace and tranquility, surrounded by trees and birds! Pete’s hospitality was 5 star, and I absolutely loved my time there! Gorgeous bush walks, swims in the creek, chats over coffee with the locals all adds to the appeal! Will definitely be back!

We love staying at Paul's hipcamp. Directions were clear, Paul was friendly and accommodating, the sites were private and the facilities clean. The caravan was gorgeous, overlooking the creek, with lots of bird life. Hot outdoor shower was an unexpected bonus! We would definitely come back and stay.
