The swimming hole is a shared space that all campers can use.  It is about mid-thigh deep - great for kids but not big enough for adult swimming.   There is a flat area under the trees and gently sloping area out in the open for those looking for some sunshine. You have 2 options for this campsite, on either side of the creek.   One is easy access and suitable for a caravan on the flat next to the creek, just 10m off our driveway.   The other is 4WD access only as you have to cross through the creek, where it is a bit muddy, slushy and rocky, to get there, and traverse up a rough track. Beautiful open area off the beaten track with large logs for the children to run along and right next to the creek.   Suitable for a single family, or invite a group of friends with their 4WD's. A group with mixed vehicles could camp either side.  The whole area is yours, whether your group is large or small. This solid timber cabin is beautifully situated on a tree covered hill in the center of Hope Valley. There's also a lovely big firepit for outdoor cooking. Guests will enjoy the hilltop to themselves but our house is on one side of the hill so close enough if they want to help feed the farm animals or need assistance with anything. The cabin has solar power, tank water, and gas cooking and hot water.

We loved camping at Hope Valley. Anita's directions were perfect and accurate. The campsite was beautifully maintained, large and easily accessible by 4wd. The wood purchased on site was plentiful and burned clean. Lot's of birdlife and spectacular night sky, star views. A lovely and quiet area. Well be back again.

Lovely long weekend stay. Great spot! Private. Lots of trees. Visiting horses. Big fire pit. Very useful covered seating area! You do have to have the ability to walk back up the steep hill if you want to go down to the creek. Or drive. Definitely need a 4x4. The creek is small but lovely. One tip…. Don’t leave food out on benches or on the floor of the cabin or you will find little nibbles. No great bother though.. Thanks for sharing your property!! Vey nice.

Spent a perfect 3 days at the tall gums campsite in Hope valley. We had great fun exploring the creek and the lookout. The campsite itself is large with a flat area for caravans, rtt's or tents/swags, nestled along a rocky creek. The host Anita was friendly and helpful and met us at the campsite with tips on where to put our van.

Friendly and welcoming owner. Lovely peaceful spot with no Internet and no one near by. Billabong was clear and swimmable although shallow. Friendly horses would stop by for a pat. It’s a long way from town on a windy, corrugated dirt road so be sure to pack everything you need. Definitely recommend 4wd car and 4wd van. Prob best for tent, camper. Plenty of fire wood laying around. Great spot to do nothing, sit around a fire and relax.
