Amazing property Bruce! Unfortunately there were people in our campsite, so we had to camp in at site 2. Beautiful creeks, plenty of space between the different sites. Will definitely be back, hopefully next time we will get the site we book. They are very easy to tell which you booked. With only 3 sites, very poor form of the people who took our spot.

Site 2 - Little Wombi
It is an amazing getaway for the weekend, very relaxing and scenic with lots of wildlife. No cell reception so it’s a bit of a digital detox, which allows you to get away from the busy life, and enjoy conversation and great food around the fire with your mates 10/10. It has quickly become our favourite campsite in the whole of Queensland.

The drive out from linville was very nice. Will be back soon.

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay. We were lucky enough to be the only campers the entire 3 nights and we didn't even get a visit from the host which was fine as we were happy to have full peace and quiet as our mid-year break from our business. Everything was great but as other reviews state, there are no bins even though the listing details show there is, so we figured there wouldn't be and prepared to take our rubbish home. We would suggest improving the site markers as only #1 is clear. We were on #2 and think we were on the right one! Nice flat campsite with a large area of short grass for us was perfect. Lots of walking and exploring, saw the cattle a few times, saw some wallabies over the other side of the creek which was nice. Being such a large open field there wasnt much wildlife right there. The river/creek is very shallow and no fish about during our stay but imagine there would be some after a fair bit of rain. We took both kayaks but could have taken one just for a short relaxing paddle/float or two. We saw deeper larger holes on the way there but they were too far to go to bother loading up the yaks. Such a nice spot to relax and unwind. Instructions for getting there were spot on and the 'hipcamp' painted sign is old and small but easy to spot when you're looking for it. Would definitely visit again for a quiet and relaxing getaway and we really appreciate Bruce opening up his land for campers to use, it's a beautiful spot, highly recommend!

Unreal spot, plenty of scenery on the drive in with the undulating mountains leading down to the flowing creeks. Bruce was awesome in communicating where the campsite was as well as providing other information about the stay. The campsite was nicely mowed. Was awesome to set up camp and be surrounded by cows and birds. Plenty of fish around too, great for a bit of fun catch n release. Overall, a great experience.

Great place, lots to do or see around. Close to a state forest too. The site grass was a bit too long, but we still found a few clear places to set camping. There was no bin available(site description says bin available), you will have to take you rubbish with you.
Overall beautiful place, very friendly owner too.
We will definitely come back.

Awesome spot, no neighbors on our stay! Very quiet and peaceful! Lots of birds and a few cows. If you follow the directions it’s easy to find (I followed Maps and ended up a k away from the site but thankfully Bruce lead me back). Bruce dropped off a nights worth of wood and he said we’re welcome to gather our own for the next few nights which we did easily! Very scenic drive to site, narrow gravel road but very well maintained and not rain affected! Rained heavily each night of our stay with no deterioration in road surface! The causeways were all running water over them when we left, but only 200-300mm so no trouble getting out!

I loved the camp at Bruce's land it is very peaceful and if you really want to get away from the hustle and bustle this is the place to go . The mountains and creeks are just amazing truly nature the fly were a little annoying but I st5had a wonderful time

It's very dry everywhere at the moment, so obviously not seeing the land at its best. However we had a secluded, private camping spot we very much enjoyed. Plenty of firewood to harvest ourselves, although with the extreme dry we had to be very careful with our campfire.
It was nice to meet Bruce too, who regaled us and our children with several of his bush poems - an unexpected surprise!
Camping along the creek-line, it would be magic when the land has had some rain and the creek is running again. Looking forward to visiting again when the season changes.

Site 1 was a great spot for camping. We did book site 3, but the owner moved us to site 1. Loved that there was no one else there and it was a nice grassy flat spot with heaps of room. Our family had a great time.

Perfect hip camp. We had the whole spot to ourselves and could hear nothing but the sounds of nature. No reception, but that only adds to the experience. Easy to find, with simple directions.
As said previously don't follow maps. It may take you the very wrong way.
