Our property is situated between Imbil and Lake Borumba on the beautiful Yabba Creek. We have 110 acres, with campsites on 40 acres. We have 1km of creek frontage. The creek has ample room for fishing, swimming and even kayaking. If you're lucky you'll spot the platypus in the creek and there's lots of birdlife around so bring

Magic on the Mountain
Am amazing spot! To have the whole mountain to ourselves was something else. We also took our AWD car all the way to the top without an issue

Magic on the Mountain
We had such a lovely getaway over the weekend! The top site lives up to its name - the sunsets and sunrises were magic. We brought our two doggos along who enjoyed the freedom and rolling in the red dirt - safe to say we left with a brown dog rather than white! As it is a working cattle farm, we did have to move a few cow pats when we got there, but nothing a shovel couldn’t handle. Would recommend if you want a private, tranquil get away.

Jon and Shontal’s property was incredibly beautiful surrounded by the most breathtaking views. We would recommend the location to anyone that asked ! Definitely recommend a 4wd as the track to get up their mountain is quite steep and rocky !

Maybe for you, not for us
It could’ve been something really great especially going off the previous reviews but unfortunately it was not the experience we had. We arrived after dark, which in all honesty should not be allowed or recommended in any sense. Jon’s hostility and rudeness towards us from the beginning did not go unnoticed but Shontal’s upbeat positive personality certainly made us feel like we were into something amazing. Long story short, the road should be better marked, if allowing guests to drive after dark some reflective markers would not go astray, more so to indicate the creek that was not at all mentioned which was a surprise considering the width of the very slippery muddy path to get across is no wider than a car alone. 4wd should be noted as ESSENTIAL not “recommended” and lastly, Jon should not in any way shape or form be involved in a customer service based industry. We unfortunately missed the extremely tight path going across the creek (we had no prior knowledge of), in the dark, and whilst questioning whether we had bitten off more than we could chew the real kicker was the verbal abuse from Jon to follow. It’s bitter sweet as without his assistance in pulling us out we would have remained in a very serious situation but copping the condescending, degrading and extremely aggressive comments along the way were not at all acceptable on our behalf. We booked 3 nights, departed first thing after night 1. This review is only to notify other hipcampers of how it can go.

We loved our time at Magic on the Mountain! While you will need a 4wd to access, the views make it worthwhile! We couldn’t see a single soul, and felt so peaceful! Incredible views - especially those sunsets!
