Please notify us if you are camping with other campers who have booked a separate site so we can have you camping beside each other During busy times, most weekend bookings are a minimum of 2 nights with 1 night bookings during the week, however occasionally we will have 1 night bookings on weekends. Check with your host to see availability on 1 night bookings. All campsites run parallel too the creek and are situated on the upper bank of Yabba Creek. Some have creek views, the other sites have trees between the creek and their site. All have mountain views. The main access to the creek is half way along the campground between site 8 and 9. Please do not leave your car parked in the walkway as this will block the entrance to campsite 9. Unfortunately, we lost many of our creek access points due to flooding. Our property is situated between Imbil and Lake Borumba on the beautiful Yabba Creek. We have 110 acres, with campsites on 20 acres. We have 1km of creek frontage. The creek offers fishing, swimming and kayaking. If you're lucky you'll spot the platypus in the creek and there's lots of birdlife around so bring your cameras! Kayaks are supplied free for all campers to use. We just ask that you treat them with respect and return them back to their launching place once you have finished with them. It would pay to pack your reef walkers as the river is rocky in spots. There is lots of space for motorhomes and large camping vehicles to maneuver and park. Plenty of flat spots for your tent or vehicle. This campsite has access to flushing toilets (toilets are situated approx. 400m from the camp sites) and water (rainwater), but you will need to bring your own camping shower. Campfires are permitted outside of fire-ban season (please use the existing firepits). The property features a gorgeous rainforest with a walking track that you can follow safely, and you can also access the state forest next door if you're up for a bigger adventure. Lake Borumba is just down the road which permits water skiing, boating, fishing and other water recreation. The town ship of Imbil is only 7 minutes away where you can visit the many cafes, bakeries, The Imbil pub, Sunday markets, Produce and hardware store, supermarket, butcher, clothing shops, hairdresser, fishing supplies, Petrol station, post office and more. We are a working cattle and horse property but we do allow pets, however pet owners will need to abide by the rules as set out under the Rules and Safety "Pets" section. Please note that there is a rifle range within hearing distance from Maluka Park and campers may at times on weekends hear gunshots. This generally only goes for a few hours.

We have a variety of animals which are behind high fences, and are very unique and spectacular to look at especially at feeding time where you can get a good look at them up close. Yes...you will hear road traffic, but it is far enough away to not be invasive...but the only night lights you will see are the ones from our house and the glow of the moon and sparkling stars. Guests are required to be self-sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. The whole point of quiet, private camping is to enjoy what nature provides. Our farm is our home and part of our business. We're working hard to bring as much life to our farm as we can and that includes humans too. With lovely 'people free' views (apart from our farm house & sheds) and plenty of space our campsites are a convenient, easy-access option for a bit of r-n-r. Our large dam is close by, but is not designed for swimming or kayaking sorry. Private, but not remote, perfect when you need a break, but you don't have a lot of time to travel. There is easy access to State Forest tracks and roads for walking or mountain biking. The raised fire pit makes for comfortable camp fire cooking with the convenience of a large, solid log table within easy reach. With care, you can easily drive through the site and set yourself up without the need to unhitch the camper trailer, then when ready to leave, pack up and gently follow the curve of the mown grass and you are on your way. Our farm and paddocks are in the process of being restored, so we ask that you not ramble at will as this may damage recovering plant species or worsen erosion sites. 'The Pines' is a working farm and as such, we ask you to respect our space and that of our animals. We will try to not have livestock close by when you are with us, to avoid any interference ( by them or you!), but they do live here and we need to keep to their regular schedule. Everything we do here is to make things better. More water for native animals, more plants for habitat and cooling, so it's essential that when you come here, you bring that same mindset.

The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve. We have different camp options available, one of which is set up for those guests also wanting to stay with horses or just have a larger group booking. Guests will have access to a toilet and shower throughout their stay which is within walking distance from each of the campsites. Campfires and pets are welcome. The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping. The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Above, birds of prey ride the thermals of the valley looking for their next meal. “We have been blessed beyond measure with a small slice of God’s wonderful creation that we would love to share with you.”

There's 1,375 acres of land - the boundaries of our property are the ridges of the mountains that encircle us, and many rare species abound here. This is a dog and horse friendly property but no pets allowed in the cabin. There is paralysis tick in this region - so we'd recommend treating any animal before you come and frequent checks while you're here. No mobile phone coverage at the cabin, but there is a hill you can drive (or walk) up on the property to get phone signal if needed and we have a landline phone in our house which can be used in emergencies.

Our property is located on the site of the First Kilkivan Township and was home to a gold rush in 1868 where a 73 oz nugget was discovered. Guests will have access to a portable toilet and fire pit throughout their stay. Gold is still found in and around the creek with fossicking permitted at an extra daily rate of $25 per person. As this is private property we require that all the QLD Fossicking Act rules and regulations are followed this includes having your own permit which must be supplied before fossicking is permitted. These rules include no machinery or pump operated sluices such as high banking sluices. Detectors are welcome and some great finds have been found with them including gold and coins from the 1860’s. Large groups are welcome. There are many great shaded camping spots along the creek or a large open area of about 50 acres for larger groups. There is also a year round swimming hole fed by a solar bore on the property for anyone wanting to cool down. Kids under 12 are free but if fossicking must be covered by a permit. Pets are welcome. Fresh farm eggs can be bought if available at the time. This farm has been used as a working farm for around 40 years. This area is where the government planned a dam so generally we have water in the creeks. Most of the camp sites border the creek and all are designed to take caravans. The house was the original Amamoor Head Ranger, Forestry division, home which was cut in two and relocated from town up to the top of our hill. From here during the bush fire season you can see fires from Widgee, Kilcoy or the Sunshine Coast. We run on solar and rain water for everything in the house and creek or dam water for our orchards and gardens. We run a variety of animals and several small orchards as well. Our creek runs into another near this causeway which leads to lots of water in a short time where it sounds like you are living on a beach. Always check with us beforehand if there has been heavy rain and there are several creeks in this area which leads to a rapid build up of water in a short time over many of the causeways out here. When there is water around, the creek will have lots of little fish and a large variety of frogs, some very weird looking ones to study. While there are many animals on the farm, there are also wild animals who use it as their home and refuge so your pets must be kept safe with you at night. Swimming pool on the farm can be used if requested through booking.

On the website a quote states, “In the late 1980’s, fossils found near Boat Mountain just outside Murgon in Southern Queensland rocked the palaeontology world. 15 new fossil species discovered here were found to be 55 million years old, predating any other Eocene period fossils found in Australia by 20 million years.” Suited to all, make a day of it and visit 55 Million Years Ago in the morning, enjoy lunch at a local winery before heading to Boat Mountain to see where they found the fossils and enjoy the sunset. We are a busy working property and horse training facility. Our business consists of backgrounding cattle, growing and irrigating of cattle feed and lucerne, as well as making hay. We have potable bore water, electricity connection, picnic table and bench and firepit. We have two powered caravan sites that can also double up as tent sites. Ideally you should be self sufficient. Our bore has a solar pump that is rigged up to the water tank at the camp kitchen. Please turn the tap off once you have finished filling up your containers or caravan tanks. Bore water is potable, so can be used for cooking, cleaning, pets, etc. Any cooking implements and tools that you might need during your stay can be provided at request. Dogs are welcome, just please be mindful of our free ranging chickens, which are generally located at the top of the farm, near the big new shed. We have a calf and mini goats that you are welcome to help us feed. We are also looking at providing yoga, tai chi and meditation classes in the near future and are also setting up more sites at the back of the property as well as providing access to the creek in the summer. Please ensure that you are mindful of our neighbours, no loud noises between 9pm and 7am and kindly clean up after yourselves and take your rubbish with you, as we don't have garbage collection at the property. Nanango has a lovely vibe. It's Queensland's oldest and friendliest town. There are great playgrounds, swimming pool and cart racing in town, which is only about 10 minutes away from the farm. Kingaroy is about half an hour away. There is a great off roading spot in the forest that is literally up the road from us. According to previous campers it's perfect for beginners. Please notify us if you are camping with other campers who have booked a separate site so we can have you camping beside each other During busy times, most weekend bookings are a minimum of 2 nights with 1 night bookings during the week, however occasionally we will have 1 night bookings on weekends. Check with your host to see availability on 1 night bookings. All campsites run parallel too the creek and are situated on the upper bank of Yabba Creek. Some have creek views, the other sites have trees between the creek and their site. All have mountain views. The main access to the creek is half way along the campground between site 8 and 9. Please do not leave your car parked in the walkway as this will block the entrance to campsite 9. Unfortunately, we lost many of our creek access points due to flooding. Our property is situated between Imbil and Lake Borumba on the beautiful Yabba Creek. We have 110 acres, with campsites on 20 acres. We have 1km of creek frontage. The creek offers fishing, swimming and kayaking. If you're lucky you'll spot the platypus in the creek and there's lots of birdlife around so bring your cameras! Kayaks are supplied free for all campers to use. We just ask that you treat them with respect and return them back to their launching place once you have finished with them. It would pay to pack your reef walkers as the river is rocky in spots. There is lots of space for motorhomes and large camping vehicles to maneuver and park. Plenty of flat spots for your tent or vehicle. This campsite has access to flushing toilets (toilets are situated approx. 400m from the camp sites) and water (rainwater), but you will need to bring your own camping shower. Campfires are permitted outside of fire-ban season (please use the existing firepits). The property features a gorgeous rainforest with a walking track that you can follow safely, and you can also access the state forest next door if you're up for a bigger adventure. Lake Borumba is just down the road which permits water skiing, boating, fishing and other water recreation. The town ship of Imbil is only 7 minutes away where you can visit the many cafes, bakeries, The Imbil pub, Sunday markets, Produce and hardware store, supermarket, butcher, clothing shops, hairdresser, fishing supplies, Petrol station, post office and more. We are a working cattle and horse property but we do allow pets, however pet owners will need to abide by the rules as set out under the Rules and Safety "Pets" section. Please note that there is a rifle range within hearing distance from Maluka Park and campers may at times on weekends hear gunshots. This generally only goes for a few hours.

With lovely 'people free' views (apart from our farm house & sheds) and plenty of space our campsites are a convenient, easy-access option for a bit of r-n-r. Our large dam is close by, but is not designed for swimming or kayaking sorry. Private, but not remote, perfect when you need a break, but you don't have a lot of time to travel. There is easy access to State Forest tracks and roads for walking or mountain biking. The raised fire pit makes for comfortable camp fire cooking with the convenience of a large, solid log table within easy reach. With care, you can easily drive through the site and set yourself up without the need to unhitch the camper trailer, then when ready to leave, pack up and gently follow the curve of the mown grass and you are on your way. Our farm and paddocks are in the process of being restored, so we ask that you not ramble at will as this may damage recovering plant species or worsen erosion sites. 'The Pines' is a working farm and as such, we ask you to respect our space and that of our animals. We will try to not have livestock close by when you are with us, to avoid any interference ( by them or you!), but they do live here and we need to keep to their regular schedule. The Cooke Family welcomes you to “Hopevale”. A beautiful 113 acre property bordered by Wrattens National Park at the edge of the world in the peaceful Widgee district of greater Gympie. Jason, a landscaper by trade, and Jacinta a teacher by profession, met many years ago at a national Christian youth conference. Four beautiful children later and many years down the track, they bought Hopevale as a blank cattle fattening property in 2018. After much hard work, they have made it what it is today, with plans to continually improve. The property has only had 4 farming owners in its 110 odd years since it was first surveyed and selected in 1915. The Hillcoats, Bishops, Cotters, and now the Cooke’s. The families over the years have used the property for timber getting, dairy, beef and small cropping. The property is geologically rich with volcanic soils, sandstone escarpments full of caves and overhangs. The mighty Wrattens Falls sits to the back of the property in the National Park and is a sight to behold in full flow. It feeds the head waters of the western branch of Widgee Creek which meanders through the property. The subtropical dry rainforest clad mountains are dominated by the majestic Bunya and Hoop pines and are a testament to what once was covering the entire property before being cleared for farming. Remnant riparian creek lines are botanically rich and diverse holding Red and White Cedar, Teak, Silky oak and many other coveted timber trees harvested back in the day. There are many species of animals and birds that call Hopevale home. From water dragons, frogs and fish in the creeks, monitors, wallabies, deer, koalas, possums and phascogales in the eucalypts. Red-back wrens, pardalotes, rainbow bee-eaters, finches and quail call the open grasses home while whip birds give their iconic call in the forest. Our property is located on the site of the First Kilkivan Township and was home to a gold rush in 1868 where a 73 oz nugget was discovered. Guests will have access to a portable toilet and fire pit throughout their stay. Gold is still found in and around the creek with fossicking permitted at an extra daily rate of $25 per person. As this is private property we require that all the QLD Fossicking Act rules and regulations are followed this includes having your own permit which must be supplied before fossicking is permitted. These rules include no machinery or pump operated sluices such as high banking sluices. Detectors are welcome and some great finds have been found with them including gold and coins from the 1860’s. Fresh farm eggs can be bought if available at the time. This farm has been used as a working farm for around 40 years. This area is where the government planned a dam so generally we have water in the creeks. Most of the camp sites border the creek and all are designed to take caravans. The house was the original Amamoor Head Ranger, Forestry division, home which was cut in two and relocated from town up to the top of our hill. From here during the bush fire season you can see fires from Widgee, Kilcoy or the Sunshine Coast. We run on solar and rain water for everything in the house and creek or dam water for our orchards and gardens. We run a variety of animals and several small orchards as well. Our creek runs into another near this causeway which leads to lots of water in a short time where it sounds like you are living on a beach. Always check with us beforehand if there has been heavy rain and there are several creeks in this area which leads to a rapid build up of water in a short time over many of the causeways out here. When there is water around, the creek will have lots of little fish and a large variety of frogs, some very weird looking ones to study. While there are many animals on the farm, there are also wild animals who use it as their home and refuge so your pets must be kept safe with you at night. Swimming pool on the farm can be used if requested through booking.

If you are looking to get away, put your feet up, switch off and recharge, then this is your perfect spot to enjoy the serenity of farm life with the added mountain views. We have potable bore water, electricity connection, picnic table and bench and firepit. We have two powered caravan sites that can also double up as tent sites. Ideally you should be self sufficient. Our bore has a solar pump that is rigged up to the water tank at the camp kitchen. Please turn the tap off once you have finished filling up your containers or caravan tanks. Bore water is potable, so can be used for cooking, cleaning, pets, etc. Any cooking implements and tools that you might need during your stay can be provided at request. Dogs are welcome, just please be mindful of our free ranging chickens, which are generally located at the top of the farm, near the big new shed. We have a calf and mini goats that you are welcome to help us feed. We are also looking at providing yoga, tai chi and meditation classes in the near future and are also setting up more sites at the back of the property as well as providing access to the creek in the summer. Please ensure that you are mindful of our neighbours, no loud noises between 9pm and 7am and kindly clean up after yourselves and take your rubbish with you, as we don't have garbage collection at the property. Nanango has a lovely vibe. It's Queensland's oldest and friendliest town. There are great playgrounds, swimming pool and cart racing in town, which is only about 10 minutes away from the farm. Kingaroy is about half an hour away. There is a great off roading spot in the forest that is literally up the road from us. According to previous campers it's perfect for beginners. Loved camping at the ‘Stones throw’ site at Yabba creek! It had great access to the water for swimming and the creek was a lovely peaceful place to go out kayaking (kayaks provided). The whole property was beautiful and we loved how private our site was from the rest of the farm. Lovely place for the dog to run around and Kaylea and dean were very friendly and checked in on us after storms, they also made sure to let us know about all the walking paths and facilities around which was very helpful. No bins or showers but the site had a hose and the town just five mins up the road had plenty of skip bins available.

I absolutely loved my stay at Yabba Creek farm! I was at the Stone's throw site - very close easy access to the creek and we'll spaced out from other sites. So great that they provide a firepit and kayaks to use - it's a stunning place to paddle! Kaylea and Dean could not have been more helpful and welcoming - a really lovely couple who have done a fantastic job creating a beautiful place for camping. I hope to come back again!!

Absolutely incredible campsite! I wish we had been able to stay for longer, but so glad that we managed to get a couple of nights. Campsite is spotless, pitches are really large and the top 2 in particular have great views over the hills and down to the river. We had the site all to ourselves for the two nights we were there so it was really peaceful. Fire pit was great, and so were the kayaks for a peaceful paddle down the river after a day at the markets. Thank you so much!

Such a lovely peaceful place to stay for a couple of nights. Loved the outdoor bath to cool down in with a cold beer in the afternoon! The creek was a bit high and muddy due to the rain when we first got there so didn’t swim but loved how the hosts had set up chairs and swing seats for those hot summer days of swimming.

We had a great camp setup at Pilgrims Rest! They aren’t kidding when they say 4x4 only. It was our first experience towing our van in these conditions: steep, rocky and creek crossings. (We nailed it). Got in and out of camp no issues even though it was a little tight. Excellent creek for the kids to explore right in eye sight of camp. A few cars came by but nothing that was disturbing. Had some visitors (cows and horses). Quiet and remote. No phone service. Star-link worked until the weather kicked off. We had a deluge in the afternoon and overnight. Anita came down in the morning to check the creek crossings on our departure day. Advised us to head off as soon as possible due to the possibility of being flooded in. Great hosts. Good communication and excellent directions given. If we are in the area again we would visit again.

Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. There is also no charge or fee to use the court. On most Sundays afternoons (weather permitting), we have social tennis where everyone is welcome to join in. The old school toilet blocks have the addition of hot showers and all toilet facilities are the flushing type. Campfires are permitted and there are small mobile fire pits provided so wherever you set up camp you can have your campfire right beside you. Note: There are no ground fires permitted and at certain times of the year Qld Rural Fire brigade may enforce a total fire ban. We have our “Caffeine Injection” kiosk on-site for the weekends and school holidays. Get your morning caffeine fix as well as bagged ice, firewood, ice creams, snacks, cold drinks etc etc Then we have the old school principals residence aka “The Bush Holiday House“. Our camping ground is in Amamoor in the beautiful Mary Valley. It was once the local cricket pitch , so is a lovely flat spot to camp, with a mountain view to one side and our creek bordering the other 3 sides. It is within minutes drive from the Amamoor General store so supplies are never far away. It has easy access off Moorehouse Gully Rd and is fully fenced from the road. Upon discovering the Mary Valley, we found our farm and fell in love with the views, the mango plantation and the gorgeous nearby villages. Our property was once a pineapple farm and was part of a much larger property owned by the previous owners for over 60 years. The Mary Valley Rattler steam train is a great addition to the history of the area and stops at our local village of Amamoor. Amamoor has the village Green Cafe opened from Wednesday to Sunday and also is where the Rattler stops for refreshments on the weekends. On Saturday afternoon you can visit Dagun station down the road for a wine tasting and find fresh produce at the station market. With Kandanga village 10 minutes away, the Country Club and the Kandanga Hotel, a refreshing beer, a good meal and even a game of bowls is not far away. Cycle the rail trail , kyak the Mary River and check out the State Forest and all its trails, there is so much to explore.
