Located on 250 acres, Empty Pockets farm is a cattle and crop farm on mixed country from rolling hills to tree lined creek banks. Privacy is guaranteed with a number of spacious sites available along two seasonal creeks and one site overlooking rolling hills and distant mountains. As a working cattle farm there are often inquisitive calves around. There are tracks right around the property for walking and exploring. You may see some of the local wildlife which include Rat Kangaroos and possums (both nocturnal), tree goanna, wallabies, echidna and many bird species. Located only 30 minutes from the beautiful Bunya Mountains and Coomba Falls. Motocross Mountain is 8km away and we are 5km from the Yarraman Rail Trail which is popular for mountain bike riding. Plenty of options for exploring or just stay, relax and unwind. We are pet friendly however we ask that dogs are kept on a leash. Season produce from the farm may be available for purchase depending on the season. Firewood is free from designated locations. We request that guests leave a zero footprint which means you need be self sufficient with your own toilet/shower facilities and all waste and rubbish is taken with you on departure.

Site is furthest from the farmhouse, down on Yarraman creek. Looks down onto the creek and has a few extras like a sheltered area with a good fire set up and sitting logs. Only wildlife will be on your calling card.

Overlooking the valley it’s a great spot to relax and unwind and watch farm life. A large dam is just a short stroll away and camping privacy is guaranteed with no near neighbours. Fire pit is included. Lots of slashed tracks to explore on 2 creeks fronts. Lots of wildlife and inquisitive cattle.

We ended up camping at Hobbsy’s Gully campsite, and absolutely loved the outlook and campsite privacy. This was a really well maintained flat site with a firepit. We saw a variety of birds, and loved watching a native water rat’s antics in the creek. Laura is a delightful host and very friendly. We really loved the clear communications. And we had the opportunity to purchase firewood, which Laura brought to our campsite. We highly recommend checking out Empty Pockets Farm Stay for yourself.

Here's a warm, positive review you could post: We had a wonderful stay at this campsite. The site was beautifully secluded, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. The host family were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Their hospitality really made our stay even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with lovely hosts, I would definitely recommend this campsite. We would happily stay here again!

​You cannot go wrong staying at this location. The sites are incredibly peaceful and clean, sites have been mowed and firepits ready, tucked away in a quiet spot that is still very convenient to Yarraman and the surrounding areas. Each site has a beautiful outlook of either the valley views, or by the creek. ​Laura, Neil, and Belle were such welcoming hosts. It was a real highlight to hear about the history of the farm and Neil’s family heritage—it adds such a personal touch to the experience. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway and will definitely be back! Thank you Laura for welcoming us to your farm.

We loved camping at oakfords place over easter... the site was awesome and it even had a long drop and toilet shelter made out of an old water tank..we were beside a creek and there were plenty of trails around to walk and explore.. the peace and quiet was lovely

The Valley Views site has stunning views and an awesome flat and wide area to set up camp at the top. The wind was ripping during our stay and Laura graciously showed us to another site down in the gully that was protected from the wind and was next to a nice little dam. A beautiful property and very friendly and accommodating hosts. We will definitely be back! Both Black Butt and Yarraman have great bakeries that are worth a stop if you're after a decent pie 👍

What a large, peaceful place with beautiful Valley Views. We enjoyed walking around the farm to see a flowing creek, crops as well as calm and friendly cattle and horses. The Valley Views site was large and open, so the batteries on our van could charge easily, whilst having a couple of large shade trees. Loved the fire each night and learning about the area from the owners. Whilst there we visited Yarraman State Forest, Cooyar Swinging Beidge & a great bakery in Yarraman. Have already passed on info to 2 sets of friends to plan a visit.

Valley views
Valley View was a peaceful campsite for me and my two active dogs. Great views to the North, South and West and perfect screening trees to the East. Superb opportunities for sunrise and sunset photos as well as a nice dark sky for astrophotography. Laura, was excellent with her communications and Neil was very welcoming and good for a chat. We will happily return.

Stayed at the Rydges site this time and it was still a great view! Not as good as Valley Views but still great. Cows were there to welcome us and would wander past in the afternoon. This site gets a bit of highway noise but did not concern us at all as was just background noise. Laura is an excellent host as always!

Loved our visit to Hobbsy’s Gully, the privacy between campsites and the cattle coming past each day. Lots of birds and we also saw a goanna come down to the dam for a drink. Laura was a very welcoming and friendly host. We will definitely be back. 10/10

Our stay at Empty Pockets Farm, specifically at the Valley Views campsite, was wonderful. The spacious site offered a pleasant, level, and secluded environment, with no other campers in close proximity. We enjoyed the visits from the cows and calves. The valley views were beautiful. Laura and Neil were friendly and accommodating hosts, even delivering pre-chopped firewood directly to our site. This Hipcamp location serves as an excellent starting point for exploring the Bunya Mountains and numerous other nearby towns. We highly recommend Empty Pockets Farm.

We loved camping @ Hobbsy’s Gully…very peaceful & the cows were very friendly hosts…abundant birdlife & just a great spot. Close to town for supplys & Bunya Mts is a handy drive for a day trip Laura & Neil are fantastic hosts

Awesome spot. Vert quiet and peaceful with no one in sight. Lots of distance between sites and freshly mowed prior to our arrival. Laura met us and showed the way to the site and Neil was awesome showing me around the entire property.

I absolutely loved the Valley Views campsite and it was such a peaceful location. Had the cows and new calves visit me one morning which was extra special. Laura and Neil were very friendly and took me up to the campsite. Unfortunately there were a lot of thunderstorms around each night so left a day earlier than anticipated but intend on coming back when the weather has settled.
