Peaceful weekend camping

Our spot by the Creekside was very peaceful and relaxing with no outside noise and a big fire pit. We loved sitting under the shade of the trees and enjoyed our walks around the property. The horses and cows were fantastic company during our stay.

A Perfect Country Getaway

We just spent 3 nights camping on this beautiful 200-acre cattle farm and honestly didn’t want to leave! The views were absolutely stunning — wide open spaces, peaceful surroundings, and the kind of scenery that instantly helps you unwind. The lower valley view camp felt calm, private, and incredibly relaxing. One of the highlights was the animals — they were gorgeous and often wandered close by, surrounding us at times, which made the experience feel even more special and immersive. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with plenty of space and breathtaking views, this spot is definitely worth it. We’ll be back for sure ☺️

Full farm experience!

We (family of 4 - mum / dad and 2 boys, 5 & 7) had a great time off grid at Tinara. “The Glen” is a great site next to a creek with some short walks exploring the farm. We met cows and ponies, had great camp fires and enjoyed the seclusion of the camp site - felt so private and like you’re really in the wilderness. Our hosts were very welcoming and we had great chats with them. Very enjoyable 3-night stay.

Beautiful camping spot!

We absolutely loved our stay at Tinara "The Glenn Creek Side" it was peaceful, quiet, tidy and a very relaxed and secluded area and atmosphere. You feel like you are the only people on the farm because the campsites are so private. We got to enjoy beautiful scenery while also watching their beautiful cattle grazing not far from our camp site. We had the pleasure of meeting Tamara and she was very welcoming and a great host. We also ordered firewood as there is a great fire pit at the camp site, we were impressed with the amount of fire wood in the bags for $15 each. We took our Maremma with and she really enjoyed being walked around the beautiful farm. We will definitely be staying at Tinara again! Thank you Quentin and Tamara for having us. See you next time!

Special Site - Not Publically Avail

The beauty of Tinara is that you have totally private camping remote from any neighbouring campers.There are only three sites and they are large. There are nice walks around the property and you will have a peaceful stay with the cows and friendly horses for company. The Bunya Mountains with the lovely NP trails and coffee shop etc are only 45 minute drive away. Quentin and Tamara are most friendly and although a little tricky to find the property and campsites at first, Quentin’s directions are excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You do need to be self sufficient though and 4X4 is essential to access The Hill ( although easy enough). Communication with the owners was good and Telstra coverage is OK.

Excellent campsite. Hosts communicated well. Directions were easy to follow. Had the whole property to ourselves and it was super relaxing. Good firepit, plenty of wood to collect and walks around the property. Just what the doctor ordered to relax and unwind.

Camping at the hill was great! Easy to find, great instructions to get there and honestly was a dream. Would recommend, in a very convenient spot to access the Bunya mountains. Hosts communicated well too, which is a big plus!

Terrific Tinara!

Our group loved camping at Tinara. Our first night was at Valley View which was gorgeous, but the wind was a little crazy so we asked to move down to the Glen which made our stay even more enjoyable. The site was so comfortable, the cows and calves so welcoming and inquisitive, and the stars were epic. It was also nice and convenient to Bunya Mountains NP and Coomba Falls. Quentin and Tamara were awesome communicators and we would happily stay here again.

Lovely cool weekend at Tinara

We had a great weekend at Tinara. Absolutely no one around. An amazing night sky with lots of satellite spotting. We went for a drive to Bunya mountains and then back for lunch at Maidenwell pub then back to camp to cook a camp oven, and drinks by the fire in the afternoon. A very cool night and a frost in the morning was nice. We towed our 15ft van to the hill without any problems but you would want a reasonable 4wd and offroad van for it. I enjoyed it being a bit of a challenge to get to the site.

Such a beautiful spot for some peace and quiet. Had a lovely warm camp fire under the sky full of stars, the cows gathering in for some warmth and inquisitive to what is going on. Would definitely recommend if after some peace and quiet!

We originally booked Creekside but when we drove past the lower valley view camp and saw the view we immediately phoned Quentin and he was more than happy to let us stay there instead. The view over the valley was beautiful and we loved the peace and quiet here. We enjoyed visits from the horses and giving them treats. The night sky was magnificent! Absolutely no noise or light pollution here. We have more to explore at the Bunya Mountains so will definitely be coming back to Tinara.
