Book and you get the whole, private campsite to yourself! Located in the beautiful Amamoor State Forest, escape to your beautiful slice of tranquility! Fully fenced and secure 4 acres of flat parkland type campsite with full, private creek frontage, forest walk and swimming hole. After your drive through Amamoor town and through the State Forest (approx 25 minutes drive) you will arrive at Windyridge Creekside camp. Be greeted by a fully private campsite with beautiful trees as your backdrop for your weekend/week long getaway. An on ground firepit awaits along with a permanent fixed picnic table and chairs. Set up camp, light the fire, look at the stars and breathe your worries away! Check in from 12pm. Check out 10am. This location is popular with 4x4, dirt bike riders, caravanners and people wanting a quiet, blissful escape. The Gympie Music Muster is less than 10 mins down the road and is a annual, 4 day music event that runs every August. The Windyridge Creekside camp is perfect for families or groups, swimming and fishing in the creek, exploring the various bush walking tracks, relaxing by the open fire, bird watching, setting up the cricket or footy and many other options. Pet friendly!! Cleaning up after your pet is ESSENTIAL and must be secured safely at night. Fire kindling is available through the forest walk to the creek to get your fire going. Firewood is available - $10 per bag / $50 load - please pre order prior to arrival. TOILETS - NO toilet is available onsite and you are required to be FULLY self sufficient with your own toilet. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule and you MUST take ALL waste with you when you leave. RUBBISH - No rubbish bins are available on this site. ALL Rubbish and scraps must be removed when you depart. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule and you MUST take ALL rubbish with you when you leave. No food scraps to be left behind. WIFI: Available upon request for wifi calling and general internet (not suitable for streaming/movies). We request that you leave this beautiful, unique campsite in the same condition as when you arrived for the continued benefit of other campers and respecting that this is part of our property and home. This campsite is NOT a shared campsite - singular bookings only. AWD and 4WD is recommended however 2WD is suitable for this site. Loved our week at Windyridge creekside camp! Hosts were great, friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Had the beautifully maintained site to ourselves. Had access to lovely waterhole and creek for a refreshing dip! The beautiful trees give awesome shade. Saw Wallabies and galahs morning and evenings, and so many beautiful birdsongs to wake up to! Purchased some eggs from the hosts which were delicious too! There is a dirt road that runs along the property with a small amount of vehicles passing by but didn’t bother us. We would love to come back again. Thanks Kelly

Windyridge Creekside Amamoor Creek
We loved our stay at Windyridge! It was great for us as a family to unwind, have the space to ourselves, and be able to bring our dog along, without having to worry about other campers. The creek was great for the kids to explore and skip stones, but behind a fence so we didn't have to worry about the dog disappearing to do her own exploring. We loved the setup, with the park bench and large firepit, and there was plenty of space for everything. The road is closer and busier than we anticipated (as there are a lot of campers on adjacent properties), but it's easy enough to set up camp so that you can block this out and still have a bit of privacy.

Absolutely loved our trip to Windyridge, awesome camping spot on a fully fenced, immaculately maintained paddock, right next to the creek; and all to ourselves. So peaceful and relaxing, the perfect place to take our recently re-homed dog for her first camping trip. She had an absolute ball, and we could relax and unwind in the comfort of knowing she was safe and contained by the fully fenced perimeter, whilst having the freedom of being off lead. Windyridge is our favourite Hipcamp by far, and highly recommend to all, especially those with dogs. Hosts are fantastic, great communication and very welcoming to their property. Thanks so much Kelly and husband for sharing your little piece of paradise, we will definitely be back!!

Beautiful, large, private camp grounds. Well maintained paddock, with 6 strand barbed wire fencing. Lots of wallabies and birds visiting in the morning and afternoons. Great swimming hole a few steps away in the creek. Wonderful, clear communication. My dog absolutely loved her stay.

What an awesome camp right on the creek with a large flat paddock to camp in. We have been before and love Windyridge as a quiet place to camp by yourselves. Kelly and Allen are great hosts. Can’t recommend highly enough.

We absolutely loved this campsite. Great for the kids and dogs with the open space, and the creek with walking trails. The site is immaculately maintained and a lovely spot to unwind. The hosts very welcoming but not at all invasive of your privacy. We have a dog that does not like the company of new dogs so it can be challenging to find campsites where neighbouring properties dogs don’t wander over, this site was great and whilst we could hear some dogs around we didn’t encounter any so our boy had a relaxing stay as well. Will definitely be a camp we’d love to return to.

Very well greeted on arrival, grounds were pristine,clean and tidy and very well maintained. We got firewood and was stacked nicely and there ready on arrival. Communication and directions on point. Creek was amazing and clear. Hosts were amazing and friendly. Great property and loved that it was fenced for our doggy. Perfect place to relax and unwind. Definitely a place to return for future camps.

Simply Wonderful! I cannot rate this place highly enough. We have 2 dogs and struggle for campsites where they are safe off the leash. It’s beautifully maintained, mowed, has entry to a private section of crystal clear creek. I would move in if I could!

Picture perfect, crystal clear running creek camping! I highly recommend this site. Idealic setting in very well kept grounds, paths and surrounds. Beautiful spot for a private getaway, with no other campers on site. My dog 🐕highly recommends this site to other highly energetic dogs who love to run and swim! He has already asked me to book this place again! No distractions from tecnology, with no phone range - helping you to disconnect! But close enough (30mins) to visthe main town with a general store that sells everything and access phone coverage if needed. The site is situated adjacent to a dirt road, accessed by passing 4WDs and the occassional motorbikes, as the area is accessed by the locals and other tourists moving through all the area has to offer. We will definitely be back! Thank you to the owners for sharing this patch of paradise ☺️

Absolutely pristine piece of land for camping with our 2 American bulldogs. Being fully fenced we could relax knowing that our dogs could freely enjoy themselves safely. The land is beautiful and the creek access is fantastic. The dogs loved walking and sniffing through a rainforest. Such a great experience for their senses. They also enjoyed laying by the fire with us at night. Highly recommend this site for the dog lovers amongst us.

Absolute beautiful spot! We loved our stay here. Entire place to ourselves, the fenced in paddock meant all 5 doggos could run freely off leash. Didnt have to worry about the children being near the water. Ample shade. It may be on the road but did not affect our stay what so ever. The creek was gorgeous. We have stayed at few creekside hipcamps now and this was definitely the nicest creek we’ve stayed on . We will be back!

I am blown away with the communication and hospitality from the host and her husband. We arrived at the pristine campsite and were welcomed with firewood. Bree gave clear instructions for the destination and communication was simple. In comparison to other sites, this site is private, well set out and has total direct, private creek and swimming hole access. We will be staying here again.

We loved everything about this campsite! Arrived to a pristine parkland site, beautiful shady tree, fire pit and table. Easy access to the flowing creek, swimming hole and Forest walk. Huge open space that is private and tucked away. Perfect for singles, couples or families and groups! We will be back regularly. Thankyou.

This site was beautifully presented and the communication from the host was excellent. However do not be fooled, private does not mean secluded. We were a couple looking for a private weekend away from the world but this site is actually directly beside the road. It was a little misleading. In saying that though - the swimming hole was completely protected and secluded and made up for the disappointment we felt. Also do NOT use Google maps to get here. It will take you through the state forest and it is a hairy road that leads to a dead end. It does not connect through, despite the map saying so. It took us an extra 1.5hrs to double back and around. Our advice, put in the address for the Amamoor General Store and then follow their instructions from there. The ability to have the firewood waiting on site was a god send also, definitely take up this offer. I would recommend this site absolutely for families, just not couples wanting to get away for some privacy.
