There is a good bushwalk at the property that takes you out to Striker point and into the gorge waterfall with spectacular views along the way. If you have a 4wd you can take a short drive up to Spicers Gap National Park. Here there is a short walk out to the Governors Chair lookout with spectacular views of the Fassifern Valley and beyond. We currently don't have a boat ramp however once you have launched your boat at the public boat ramp we have a nice bay in front of the campground where you can anchor your boat.

Tandem hang gliding gift vouchers are very popular, as you get to take off from the property and flyover you’re campsite and then up to 2500ft. Then come and land right next to your friends and family at the Oz Sky Ranch. We pride ourselves on keeping the property lovely and clean. We are also opening our home and farm to you. So please respect it and enjoy it as we do. We have 5 designated campsites positioned around the property. Within the designated sites, there are camp spots that we rotate. Please check with us to see what ones are open. We need to rotate the sites and rest them. This is how we keep them well-maintained and looking amazing. If it is wet weather we will close down sites and recommend other spots. We pride our self’s on having a lovely property and want you to have an amazing camping experience. If it is bad weather, we will recommend another site or you can change dates. Campfires are allowed at designated camp spots when fire bans aren't in place. Firewood is available to purchase . Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits only and may be subject to fire bans. Firewood and ice are available for purchase (cash preferred). Recycling bins are provided, otherwise campers are required to take their rubbish with them. Wi-Fi and Telstra coverage are available. Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away. Please note Lions Road is temporarily closed for road repairs, however, we CAN still be reached on Gradys Creek Road off Summerland Way. The road closure is another 10+ klms further down the road. Option 2: From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road. There’s a table with chairs to enjoy your breakfast or dinner outside.The loft bedroom has a queen bed. There’s reverse cycle air conditioning to keep you comfortable. The kitchen is self contained with a small microwave/oven, a 60 cm ceramic cooktop, a medium size fridge/freezer, a toaster and kettle. The lounge room has a couch, 40 cm TV with DVD player, small table and chairs. There’s no free to air TV channels available. BYO DVD or there’s a small selection available. No Wi- Fi There’s a small firepit and chairs in the yard to enjoy the sun setting over the mountains and stars at night. The cabin is a few minutes drive to the creek where you can go swimming. Campers are encouraged to meander along the continually changing River and explore its many secluded swimming holes and enjoy the abundant wildlife that cohabitates with the Angus/Wagyu cow herd. Direct access to the neighbouring National Parks and State Forests offers an array of day trips to hikers, mountain bikers, or horse riders where they can discover the natural treasures of Basket Swamp and Boonoo Boonoo Falls, Woolool Woolooni, among others. For those who require a little more comfort, and lets face it we all do at times, the Mindoo Cabin is available. Featuring three bedrooms, open plan living/dining/kitchen,and a shady deck overlooking the River the cabin sleeps eight and still allows visitors to partake in all the adventures that "Mindoo" offers with the benefit of a comfortable rest when the day is done. Unfortunately horse riding is no longer covered by our insurance policy. You are able to bring your horses, however evidence of your own insurance policy must be provided. Be as adventurous or as restful as you please as both options are freely available. Mountain Biking, Hiking, or just riding your hammock and relaxing we are sure you will enjoy your time at "Mindoo". All of our river sites are designated and are space apart. As most of our sites are on the river and have farm tracks to access, if it is wet we may have to move you to a different site. 4wds are recommended for all sites and are required for some site. For those who require a little more comfort, and lets face it we all do at times, the Mindoo Cabin is available. Featuring three bedrooms, open plan living/dining/kitchen,and a shady deck overlooking the River the cabin sleeps eight and still allows visitors to partake in all the adventures that "Mindoo" offers with the benefit of a comfortable rest when the day is done. Unfortunately horse riding is no longer covered by our insurance policy. You are able to bring your horses, however evidence of your own insurance policy must be provided. Be as adventurous or as restful as you please as both options are freely available. Mountain Biking, Hiking, or just riding your hammock and relaxing we are sure you will enjoy your time at "Mindoo". What a gem of a Hipcamp. This is a must place to stay, offering both powered and unpowered sites. Brianna was amazing explaining walks, swimming areas & general information on the village within 5 minute drive. The shower & toilet block were immaculate. Koala is a B E A U T I F U L spot. If I knew I would have planned for a longer stay. Falling asleep to the river rapids was divine. The space was huge for kids to kick a ball and not hit the water or the camp. Maintained green grass. Directions spot on. A short welcome by the host. If we ever go back through Tenterfield I would stay again for sure!
