We provide an extensive camping ground which ensures that you will have a large amount of space to set up comfortably. Flushing toilets and hot showers are provided. We offer you the choice of a standard enclosed private shower or the fun of open air showers. We also have ice for sale. We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions with marquees available if required. Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed. Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water. During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out. Things to do and see: The Grandchester hotel is a short 10min walk away and offers cold drinks, great meals and friendly country hospitality. Spicers Hidden Vale is approximately 6km away and perfect for bike riders. Rosewood train museum showcases steam locomotives and Grandchester scale model rail rides run once a month. All sites are unpowered. Generators are welcome between 7am and 9pm. PRICE. $25 per night Max 2 people. $10 per night for any extra people on that site. $5 for kids 5 years to 12 years. She loves affection.. 😆 She is super gentle and loves belly rubs and pats. sometimes the horses are at nearby agistment so, ask if the horses cam be here for your visit. Baby animals are seasonal, ducklings and baby chicks in summer and lambs after winter roughly. There are a couple of small playgrounds, clean double flushing toilets, picnic tables, gas bbq and chairs for your convenience and a nice above ground pool to stay cool in. We have firewood for sale, and I make a great expresso coffee if your a coffee lover, like myself. Bring some cash for firewood, coffee and other bits and pieces. There's a kids surprise cupboard, with toys to borrow, for sale or Make a donation and buy it... The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Just message me about extra guests as hipcamp adding extras doesn't work properly. You can pay by cash or transfer on arrival if necessary. Extra adults campers I will discount to $15 instead of $20 adults and $5 for kids. We also offer day visits for $5 per person. Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay. Wivenhoe Dam, Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all closeby. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas) Hope to see you soon at the farm. If you do an instant booking and I don't see it or reply, don't stress, as your welcome to drive on in and straight up the laneway to the back paddock area. We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions with marquees available if required. Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed. Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water. During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out. Things to do and see: The Grandchester hotel is a short 10min walk away and offers cold drinks, great meals and friendly country hospitality. Baby animals are seasonal, ducklings and baby chicks in summer and lambs after winter roughly. There are a couple of small playgrounds, clean double flushing toilets, picnic tables, gas bbq and chairs for your convenience and a nice above ground pool to stay cool in. We have firewood for sale, and I make a great expresso coffee if your a coffee lover, like myself. Bring some cash for firewood, coffee and other bits and pieces. There's a kids surprise cupboard, with toys to borrow, for sale or Make a donation and buy it... The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Just message me about extra guests as hipcamp adding extras doesn't work properly. You can pay by cash or transfer on arrival if necessary. Extra adults campers I will discount to $15 instead of $20 adults and $5 for kids. We also offer day visits for $5 per person. Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay. Wivenhoe Dam, Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all closeby. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas) Hope to see you soon at the farm. If you do an instant booking and I don't see it or reply, don't stress, as your welcome to drive on in and straight up the laneway to the back paddock area. Come and relax at our flat, peaceful 5 acre hobby farm. Most animals wander around example the sheep, ducks and chooks, pig. So tough plastic boxes are great to hide your food items. We have a mini pig (Splat) that has her own paddock but she likes to socialise. I'm waiting for fencer to get her back in her paddock again. She loves affection.. 😆 She is super gentle and loves belly rubs and pats. sometimes the horses are at nearby agistment so, ask if the horses cam be here for your visit. Baby animals are seasonal, ducklings and baby chicks in summer and lambs after winter roughly. There are a couple of small playgrounds, clean double flushing toilets, picnic tables, gas bbq and chairs for your convenience and a nice above ground pool to stay cool in. We have firewood for sale, and I make a great expresso coffee if your a coffee lover, like myself. Bring some cash for firewood, coffee and other bits and pieces. There's a kids surprise cupboard, with toys to borrow, for sale or Make a donation and buy it... The $45 camp fee pays for 2 adults and 1 child. Just message me about extra guests as hipcamp adding extras doesn't work properly. You can pay by cash or transfer on arrival if necessary. Extra adults campers I will discount to $15 instead of $20 adults and $5 for kids. We also offer day visits for $5 per person. Plenty of room for caravans, buses and horse floats. I have a round yard and horse yards and horses are $10 per horse/night to cover water costs. BYO hay. Wivenhoe Dam, Atkinson Dam and the Brisbane river are all closeby. The famous rail trail that a lot of horse riders and cyclists enjoy is just a klm down the road. (keep an eye out for koalas) Hope to see you soon at the farm. Directions and communication were clear. Price was good. Surrounds were beautiful. Fire pits for each site and options on where to camp within each site were good too. It was peaceful. Pretty. Inviting. I would stay here again for sure! The goat curry was so yumm and good help when I made enquiries about my food intolerances. I got to camp in a thunderstorm and the place was even more beautiful the morning after. There was one goat who was very friendly and I enjoyed watching the shaggy cows stand in the creek and the kids chase each other up the banks. This was a very good experience

Bares Hideaway was brilliant! Not far from Brisbane to get to and directions were easy. Paul & Tracey were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The facilities were very clean and well kept. Loved that it has limits on number of sites to prevent crowding! Bins were on site for easy disposal of rubbish. The property is surrounded by trees and wildlife and the goats and sheep roam freely. Great for some R & R.

The amenities were spotless. Although I didn’t need to use the camp kitchen, it was a large, well thought out space and very clean. Overall a great value Hipcamp with the access to hot showers, toilets and camp kitchen all included.

We are on a koala and wildlife corridor so respect for our wildlife as well as our domestic livestock is essential. We are conveniently located just off the Warrego Highway but once you set up camp, you will feel miles away from anywhere. Relax at camp or wander down to the creek to swim, fish or kayak (if the seasons are favourable); birdwatch, hike or mountain bike along the ridge; wander our flower field (seasonal picking available at additional cost); visit with the cattle and miniature ponies; stargaze and enjoy a camp fire (if there are no fire bans). If you want to explore the region, we are only 18klms from Toowoomba or Gatton and you can slip up Springbluff to easily access Highfields/Crows Nest area. Plenty of space to choose your camp, with very limited numbers accepted. Potable water available but Council requirements mean you must be fully self contained. Nearest dump point will be Gatton Showgrounds. The criticism of our space by some campers has been the nearby railway line. We have become immune to it but for some the passing coal trains is annoying. They are sporadiac - sometimes frequent, other times not. If you don't like trains, perhaps Karinya is not for you :( Leave no trace.

Our camping area is down on our creek where there are slashed camp sites suitable for groups of campers or just on your own. You have full use of a shelter complete with pot belly stove and a fire ring provided (byo firewood) You can do birdwatching, yabbying, swimming in the waterhole (seasonal) picnicking and general exploring around the creek area. There are no people nearby and you will feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere (but are just 25mins from Toowoomba). We are a cattle property so you will see cows and calves and horses on your way to the camp sites. Because of this and bio security, there is no 4WDriving around the property but you are welcome to explore the creek area on foot. Plenty of wildlife to spot - wallabies, kangaroos, bird life and the occasional koala. In the creek there are some fish, yabbies and turtles. Set up camp, enjoy stunning sunsets, peace and quiet and the privacy of the secluded camp sites. Our location is perfect if you are first time campers or want to try out a new set up without venturing too far from home. 25mins drive will get you back to Toowoomba CBD. We are on black soil so our access road to the creek is dry weather only but is accessible by 2WD that have reasonable clearance. It's a short drive to the townships of Fernvale or Esk, where you will find all the shops and supply needs for your camping trip. Have a camp fire and take in the beautiful air of Coominya. Bring your push bike and hiking gear so you can walk the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and take in the beautiful views of the Somerset region. The Rail Trail path traces the former train corridor from Fernvale to Yarraman and is over 160km long in total. You can do small sections at a time. The path is accessible via any of the well-preserved former railway stations along the route. Not far from here, Somerset Dam is popular with water sports lovers, and fishing enthusiasts. Pack a picnic and settle in for the afternoon beneath a shady gum tree along Lake Somerset’s shores. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower and drinking water. Access to rubbish facilities is provided. The camping area is 2WD accessible.​​ Well-behaved leashed Pets are welcome. Our property is located 18km north of Toowoomba, and features open flat paddock area with grass. Enjoy the evenings around the dedicated firepit (firewood is available under Extras). Rules of upkeep are on the wall at the back of the toilet.Please follow the instructions to care for this environmentally friendly system. 2) No smoking indoors. 3) When smoking outdoors extinguish the butt appropriately and discard rubbish in the bin. 4) Leave outdoor shoes at the door. 5) If you have visitors come and stay you must tell them to look after the place and not cause a problem. 6) Water is scarce. Please be mindful of long showers and leaving taps on or dripping. 7) A small bin is provided in the kitchen for food scraps. 8) General waste a bin is situated outside of the mini house. 9) No pets in the house at all. This will incur a fine if found out. All pets must be pets must be on a chain at all times. 10) RESPECT OUR PROPERTY PLEASE. All sites are private and secluded with great views, great sunsets, and starry night skies. There is an abundance of birds and wildlife including Red Necked Wallabies, Possums, Rufus Batongs, Bandicoots and Echidnas. There are seasonal creeks and waterfalls and wildflowers. Campers may occasionally be visited by a herd of friendly goats that like soft drink and chips.
