Lovely private spot with awesome views looking south down the valley towards Cabarlah. Site is large enough for two to three off road caravans (Depending on size). Campers must be fully self-sufficient with their own toilet. BYO Firewood. Fallen timber is a refuge for wildlife so no firewood is to be collected from the property please.

Valley View offers a peaceful retreat with stunning views and a real bush camp feel, making it a favorite among campers seeking privacy and tranquility. Richard, the host, receives high praise for his friendliness and attention to detail, adding a personal touch to the stay. While the campsite is accessible by 2WD vehicles, some guests noted that the drive can be challenging for standard cars, suggesting that a 4WD might be more suitable. Wildlife encounters, from birds to goats, enhance the natural experience, though the dry season may limit campfire opportunities.
Beautiful spot to sit and watch the birds fly over head into the gully. Camp site is level peaceful wildlife cute also. The goats visited us on our way in super cute. Was very dry this time year (SEP) so no fire at night unfortunately but moon light and stars 🤩
Host Richard was super nice also.
We had a two wheel drive car and handled fine easy to find with maps also
Cheers
The place is stunning and gives you proper bush camp feeling. You get the site all to yourself in a private area, views are fantastic. Camp site land is almost level . Host Richard is a very friendly person and comes to say hi and make you feel comfortable. Its my the favourite camp site now, will definitely come again.
Absolutely stunning campsite! We had the most amazing time. Felt like a real escape into the bush. So private and secluded and beautiful. 10/10 recommend!
We camped in a 19'6 caravan.
Driveway is a little tight in places but doable not too sure how a bigger van would go.
Richard was lovely to chat to.
We had goats visit us and we enjoyed watching 2 Wedge tail Eagles the 4 days we were there.
The sites are very well spaced and private.
We were the only campers there and we loved the privacy and beautiful view.
Would definitely return.
Recommend Richard's place we thourghly enjoyed our stay.
Valley View is a awesome site. The view and quiet is so restful. 3 nights was not enough so I will be back. Richard is a great host that really cares for his property and it shows. I also love the drive in over the rolling landscape.
I stayed at the hideaway point site and it was beautiful and very private. We followed a scenic path between stunning grasslands and many cactuses to the campsite. There were lots of little birds that visited us while we camped and we got to take in the beautiful view of the forest beneath.
My husband and I had a few nights stay at north bluff camp site. It was such a nice relaxing peaceful & private spot. We were able to enjoy stunning sunsets and sunrises & we had such clear skies the first night, so we were able to enjoy watching the stars. Richard stopped by for a chat & was very friendly & knowledgeable. We were lucky enough to spot some little wallabies around as well. Recommend stopping by crows nest for a bit to eat as well. Overall we had a great time and we will be back. Thanks Richard!
Stayed here with four mates and would overall say it was a great spot — Richard seemed to be a great host. However, I'd push back on calling the campsite "2WD accessible." We came in with two cars, a Honda Jazz and a Mazda 3, and both had a lot of trouble on the drive in and actually took damage. It's about 10 minutes of driving on an unpaved track, and it's rougher than a standard 2WD car can comfortably handle.
I loved camping at this location! The place was absolutely stunning! Richard was a great host and came to check on us. The directions were clear. If you are looking for a place to, definitely recommend this place.
Amazing scenery, felt extremely private. Richard was very welcoming. Great spot to escape the hustle and bustle- Nobody else around.
Great pubs nearby - highly recommend!
We loved our couple of night stay at Misty Gullies. Great views and a fairly level site. Plenty of room to manouver our caravan. Richard was also great!
Nice spot at Valley View. Very peaceful, didn’t see other campers nearby. It’s a bit of an exposed spot and can get breezy at times, blowing your campfire around.
Great view South toward Highfields.
We booked the Valley View camp spot and loved it! We were greeted by alpacas on entry, and had a couple friendly goats visit us at our camp. Richard is super lovely, thank you so much! Would definitely book again 😊
Misty Gullies was great, would recommend! Looked like about 5 camp sites, but each was private (except everybody drive past RV Camping to get to the other sites).
The road in is tight and windy, we towed a camper trailer with no issues, other campers had larger vans, but it is a tight track in there you’d want a 4wd for.
You’re not guaranteed a fire, very grassy and windy property, good fire safety is pretty important here.
Valkey view site. Private, tranquil setting, perfect for stargazing.
Richard is a great host, he keeps the sites in outstanding condition and is very welcoming,
Definitely recommended staying here if you are after some time away from the stresses of life's rushed pace. Take time to relax and soak it in.
Spent 2 nights on Richards property and enjoyed the tranquility. What we liked about it was the seclusion from other campers as the sites as spread out and you cant see anyone from your spot. The local kangaroos and birdlife were also great!
What an amazing location. From the moment we drive up to the Hideaway Point camp site we just said “wow”. Richard is a great host and is invested in ensuring you have an enjoyable experience.
The campsite is beautifully isolated and private. No other campers to see or hear. The outlook into the valley is stunning, particularly in the afternoon. And you’re only a 30 min drive North of Toowoomba.
This is remote camping, there are absolutely no facilities so you need to come fully equipped.
