73km from Oakey · 11 sites · Tents, RVsYour bookings at Yellow Rose Ranch go towards the upkeep of our facilities for our rescue animals and the feed during the drier months. Our diverse group of animals includes chickens, cows, goats, sheep, pigs, alpacas, and llamas. The friendly alpacas will graze in the field alongside campers, making your experience even more enjoyable.
Welcome to Yellow Rose Ranch – a friendly spot where you can connect with nature and meet our much-loved rescue animals, each with their own story.
Set on flat open land, the property offers wide, open skies and spectacular sunrises to kick-start your day. When you drive into our street in the small country suburb, you'll find a 70-meter driveway leading you to our ranch. We value and respect our neighbors, and we kindly ask you to do the same during your stay.
Our animals are always keen for a visit! You’re welcome to feed veggie scraps to our chickens and even collect a few fresh eggs for breakfast. Depending on where the animals are grazing, you're also welcome to explore other paddocks—just check in with your hosts.
Dogs are welcome but must stay on a lead at all times. Our resident sausage dog, Phoebe, might pop by to say hello! If you’re hoping to camp by the dam, please check with your hosts on arrival to see if it’s available.
While you’ll feel like you’re on a bit of a getaway, convenience isn’t far off. Woolworths is just 8 minutes away, and the local country pub (with free weekend transport) is only 9 minutes down the road.
We’re also just 50 minutes from Brisbane and around 40 minutes from Toowoomba. If you’re planning to explore nearby towns, Plainland is just 8 minutes away and features Bunnings, Aldi, and Woolworths, while Gatton is 15 minutes away. There are plenty of local pubs to check out, including the Lockyer Hotel in Forest Hill (approximately 15 minutes away) and Porters Plainland in Plainland (8 minutes away). For your convenience, water fill-up points are close by, and there’s a toilet dump in the next town.
Feel free to ask us what’s happening in the area during your stay—we’re always happy to share tips or local events. Please note that our hosts may be out on the tractor or cutting the grass to maintain the picturesque surroundings, so don’t hesitate to wave hello.
