Hillcrest Farm was established in 1876. It's a quiet, spacious and relaxing spot only minutes to Toowoomba where you'll find lots of weekend markets and other attractions. We are at 375 Umbiram Road Wyreema We have an old motor cross track which avid bicycle riders are welcome to try out Lots of bicycle tracks in town. We have a communal fire place but also numerous fire pits We have good quality firewood to purchase Meatstock March 2025 Carnival of Flowers Sept/Oct 2025 We have 20 beautiful acres here, with several acres in the middle and the back of the property ideal for setting up camp. We have 10 water outlets to hook up to. The land is mostly level, with trees scattered throughout, and all areas have lovely farm views. Whether your on the hill with 360-degree views looking over the campfire while watching the sunset or in the paddock, amongst the trees, you will have space to relax We have 30 sheep and 10 head of cattle on the property, and often lots of lambs which can be seen at any time. We now have an Alpacca named Buck who currently fusses over and protects a newborn lamb 17/07/25 We also have 14 antique tractors, and other old farm equipment, which add to the eclectic farm charm. We also have lots of residential wildlife, including kangaroos and plenty of birdlife, such as kookaburras, cockatoos, galahs, finches, Wrens, Willy wagtails, parrots and more. All guests need to be self-sufficient, with their own toilet, shower and power We have generators for hire There are toilets at the park in Wyreema 3k Local shop just up the road for basic essentials and fuel, plus there are great pub meals nearby at the Bull n Barley(sorry no dogs) - 8 minutes drive away. Rudds Pub (dogs ok) great meals. Otherwise, cook at camp by the campfire, watching the sunset. Always something to do around, or just sit and relax. Any requests just ask..

Great Option for Toowoomba visits

Paul & Kerry have put together a great camp. Plenty of room and well maintained sites. Add to this, such accomodating hosts, it was a pleasure to stay. It's only a couple of minutes out of Toowoomba, but you wouldn't know it. The firewood was good quality, and very reasonably priced, and plenty of firepits to use. We even took a short stroll down to visit the livestock. Thanks Paul & Kerry.

Loved our stay! The kids had a blast riding the tractor around the bike track and feeding the animals. We grabbed a bucket load of timber, it was great quality and perfect for coals and campfire cooking. Paul was fantastic, super responsive and really helpful throughout. We will definitely be back

We really enjoyed our two night stay, Paul couldn’t have been more accomodating, bringing us firewood, a firepit, even some fresh fruit from his garden. The kids loved having a ride in the tractor trailer. It was a lovely peaceful spot for a country get away. It was busy as it was a long weekend but we had plenty of space around us.

We absolutely loved camping at Hilltop. The hosts were incredibly generous with their time, and the views were simply stunning. The bike track was a huge hit with our kids, and Paul’s tractor rides to feed the animals were a highlight for all of us. We ended up extending our stay after the initial three nights, which says it all. Highly recommend!

Beautiful campsite just outside of Toowoomba. Wonderful welcoming hosts, and wonderfully kept grounds with fire pits provided. Even with a few other campers, it was still a quiet peaceful stay. Would definitely recommend.

Paul and Kerry’s place was awesome. We were on Hilltop which had beautiful views over the paddocks. Well maintained (very dry at the moment!) grass. No mud, which was great. Bring a jacket as it can be a bit windy - plenty of open sky for solar panels and Starlink. Great spot for kids, we could see them wherever we were at camp due to the landscape. Ample points to hook up to for potable water which was convenient. Plenty of quality firewood for sale which was delivered by Paul by tractor much to the delight of the kids. Special thank you to Paul who took the kids for a ride on the back of the tractor and to feed the sheep and “big red dog” and brought a box of board games to play. This was especially memorable for our 2.5 year old. Our only regret is that we didn’t bring bikes to pedal about the property and that we didn’t stay longer!

Beautiful little paradise on the hill! We absolutely enjoyed our stay, the area is as clean and well looked after and the water was amazing for our stay. Thanks so much for letting us stay, the bike track was a huge hit with the kids!

Hillcrest was a relaxing break away, close to Toowoomba. It was peaceful and a chance to relax and enjoy each other's company. The sunsets were spectacular and Paul and Kerry were friendly and welcoming and definitely added to the enjoyment of our camping trip.

We had an amazing easter at this property. Paul was very accommodating and prepared us a nice private site down the back freshly mowed and delivered a tractor bucket load of firewood on arrival. He also took the kids for a tractor ride to feed the animals which they loved! It was a beautiful quiet property with nice relaxing views of the country. We will definitely visit again.

We greatly enjoyed staying at Hillcrest 1876 in our caravan. The location is peaceful and most nights there was a cool breeze blowing. It is a great base to stay at for visiting the Toowoomba region and there is a little convenience store just up the road at Wyreema. We were made to feel welcome and will definitely come back.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Hillcrest Farm. Just minutes from Toowoomba, this peaceful 20-acre property is the good blend of rustic charm, wide open space. We arrived; we felt completely at ease. The land is mostly flat, making it easy to set up camp, with plenty of shady spots under the trees or open paddocks with breathtaking 360-degree views. The sunsets are stunning best enjoyed around one of the many fire pits. There’s plenty of space, so even when other campers are around, it still feels private. The central area and rear paddocks are ideal for families or small groups, and there's easy access to water. Definitely, book again

Beautiful outlook from the Hilltop looking down across the paddocks with sheep and neighbouring cattle and horses. Kids love riding their bikes around the old motorbike track. Would recommend this to others.

We loved our three nights camping on the Hilltop site. Beautiful location, clean and well maintained area, potable water and most importantly friendly owners. The bike track and tractor rides to feed the cows and sheep were a huge hit with both the adults and kids! We will always stay here when visiting the Toowoomba area. Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hillcrest Farm! The 360° views were breathtaking, especially at sunset, and the friendly farm animals made it even more special. The owners were so welcoming and made us feel right at home. Such a beautiful and relaxing spot to camp – we can’t wait to come back!

We just stayed three nights and thoroughly enjoyed the bird life and the amazing sunsets. Paul and Kerry were fantastic hosts checking in to see if you needed anything along with a good old chat. This is a great little place still close to Toowoomba and surrounding areas. Paul was great with our kids and a couple other families staying, giving the kids a ride in the tractor to feed the cows and sheep and to hold the most fastest chicken I have ever seen.

We had such a wonderful stay at Paul and Kerry’s Hipcamp just out of Toowoomba! The location is peaceful and scenic, making it the perfect spot to unwind. Paul and Kerry went above and beyond to make the experience special from offering tractor rides to letting us feed the sheep and cuddle the cutest little lambs. The campsite itself is well set up with an excellent fire pit area and picnic tables, making it easy to relax and enjoy the outdoors. As a bonus, on our last morning we were treated to the incredible sight of eagles soaring above us such a memorable way to end our stay. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a friendly, welcoming farm stay experience just a couple of hours from Brisbane with a few special touches that make it truly unforgettable.
