The site is accessed by vehicle (4WD recommended, especially in wet conditions) on a 700 metre gravel bush track, with a variety of camping options - including swags/tents, camp trailers and off-road caravans. As we are nestled in the rainforest, phone reception can vary, which is perfect for stepping away from day to day life (but it is possible to head back up the track to pick up better coverage) The area offers a variety of nature walks and only a short drive to Woombye, Palmwoods, Montville, Hinterland National Parks and also convenient access to the many beaches and attractions on the coast.

Formally a banana & pineapple plantation, Hunchy Hills is strictly 4WD only access property. There is a toilet and gas hot shower included. If you have a camper trailer it needs to be off-road/high clearance and you need to be experienced in towing off road. No caravans or Hybrids sorry, too steep and tight. Sites 1-3 are large level pads approx. 12M by 12M, each with their own fire pit and log seat. Site 4 is perched on the side of the hill and 6M by 6M in size. Suitable for vehicle based campers/swags/small tents with a sense of adventure and best with max 2 people. We have a backup spot if access is too difficult. Pets (on leash) are welcome, please ensure you pick up after them. Kids (15 and under) are free and are not counted in the maximum number of guests. Firewood is sold at the check-in via an honesty box. $20 per bag (22kgs approx.) Travel down the gravel road for about half 900m and pop out through a tree tunnel to a secluded 2 acre cleared grass paddock where the toilet & sites 1-3 are situated. Site 4 is on top of a small hill separate to the main camping area. Site 5 is in its own cleared paddock, looking out to bush. Site 1 is in shade in winter and partial sun in summer. There's plenty to explore in the area with short drives to the many attractions including National Parks, Glass House Mountains, the famous Rick's Garage Diner, wineries, micro breweries and more. Go fishing at Baroon Pocket Dam and have a swim at Obi Obi Creek or Kondalilla Falls or Gardeners Falls. If you're after some saltwater it's a 30 min drive to most beaches on the coast.

You must bring your own wood or purchase some from us in advance and we will have it ready for you on arrival. Pets are welcome with prior approval, but they must follow property rules. Swimming is allowed only during daylight hours, and caution is advised due to natural creek conditions. Jumping or diving is prohibited. For the safety of all guests, property access is strictly for booked individuals, and non-paying visitors are not permitted. We encourage exploration on foot, as all areas are easily accessible. Please do not drive your vehicle around the property. As there are no on-site toilets, kindly bring your own camp toilet and ensure proper waste removal. You will find a free dump point at Eumundi RV stop over on Napier road or in Kenilworth at the Showgrounds. At Cedar Banks, we promote a friendly and respectful environment. This communal area has log seating around the fire, hammocks in the trees and sandy tracks to the creek where you can throw in a line. Guests with horses can bring up to two per booking. Horse-related activities, require at least one week’s notice prior to your stay. The creek is tidal, offering opportunities to fish, swim, or explore by stand-up paddleboard or inflatable boat. Harper Creek Road and Harper Creek Criss cross one another as you drive through the valley. The ridges either side of the road are largely timbered, whereas the valley floor is productive land. The large property is located towards the end of this no-through-road, almost at the end of the line. While the property has dual access from both Engle Rd at the top camp; Harper Creek Rd, we enter from the valley. Camping on the top block is also available for 4WD vehicles only and not suited to large caravans. Campers are required to be self-contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Campfires are welcome in the fire pits with firewood provided or BYO. The mid-1900’s cottage sits in an idyllic setting, framed by the trees. The cottage is not yet available for Farm stays but will be soon. The location, vegetation and topography provide the privacy, the fauna & birdlife (the Bellbirds) combine to provide the solitude. Harper Creek cuts through the front corner of the property where it is met by a minor creek that drains the high country. You want more … how about a total of 115 acres (46.42 ha). While it is predominantly well-treed, it does have some cleared camping opportunities. It is watered by the creeks and one dam. There’s a great camping site at the top of the block, with a fantastic view! The property is off Aherns Rd, close to the village of Conondale and mid-way between Maleny & Kenilworth. With good access to the freeway via either Maleny or Kenilworth.… a perfect bush camping spot in a perfect setting! Pets welcome, please ensure they are kept under control and picked up after.

Weekend Trip to The Greenshed

Ali & Jo have a great, open block with sites that are somewhat partitioned off from the main house and the other campsite allowing privacy during your stay. They met us at the gate & then allowed us to enjoy the serenity of the creek while we were there. Good location, close to the Sunshine Coast & perfectly set up for those that have their own amenities. Hope to come back again!

We recently stayed at Horseshoe Hideaway Hipcamp for our very first Hipcamp experience — and our first trip away in our caravan — and we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to both! The property is beautiful and peaceful, and the horses were such a highlight. We were honestly surprised by how friendly and gentle they were. It made the whole stay feel really special, especially for our girls. Jenna was an absolutely wonderful host. She kindly took our two girls for a pony ride and made them feel completely comfortable and excited. She’s warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what she does. We also really appreciated her taking the time to teach us all about the horses — it added so much to the experience. Thank you for such a memorable first Hipcamp stay. We’d happily recommend Horseshoe Hideaway to anyone looking for a unique and family-friendly getaway!

We have a young family and this site was incredible. It was picturesque, particularly on dusk. The horses were beautiful, and such a hit with our 3yo. Rob, the host was great and very accommodating. Really good location within close proximity to attractions on the Sunshine Coast.

Weekend Trip to Stanlyn Park

We loved the privacy of this campground. Beautiful paddock with trees surrounding and a running creek. We spent our time relaxing, watching the resident wildlife, including an azure kingfisher. . The campsite was shady, clean and big enough for a small group, if wished. 15 minutes up to Maleny.

Absolutely every thing about this place from location to having plenty of shade and cool in the afternoon no matter how hot the day is . Then can just cool off in outdoor shower. Peace and quiet with everything you need no matter what your set up ..
