If you are looking to get away, put your feet up, switch off and recharge, then this is your perfect spot to enjoy the serenity of farm life with the added mountain views. We have potable bore water, electricity connection, picnic table and bench and firepit. We have three powered caravan sites that can also double up as tent sites. Ideally you should be self sufficient.
Our bore has a solar pump that is rigged up to the water tank at the camp kitchen. Please turn the tap off once you have finished filling up your containers or caravan tanks. Bore water is potable, so can be used for cooking, cleaning, pets, etc.
Any cooking implements and tools that you might need during your stay can be provided at request. Dogs are welcome. We only have ducks at the moment, but you are welcome to help us feed them.
We are also providing special deals on yoga, tai chi, breath work and meditation classes and we have access to the creek in the summer. We have a beautiful forest across the road, which is perfect for walks, trekking or meditation.
Please ensure that you are mindful of our neighbours, kindly refrain from loud noises between 9pm and 7am and clean up after yourselves and take your rubbish with you, as we don't have garbage collection at the property. There is a dump point in town, with garbage bins, for your convenience.
Nanango has a lovely vibe. It's Queensland's oldest and friendliest town. There are great playgrounds, swimming pool and cart racing in town, which is only about 10 minutes away from the farm. Kingaroy is about half an hour away. There is a great off roading spot in the forest that is literally up the road from us.

Deep Dime is a 400 acre cattle, fodder and irrigated grain farm. Our primary crop is Lucerne for hay.
Creekside Camp (our main camping area)
is relatively flat, well drained sites along a creek that usually runs. This area offers multiple composting toilets and wood powered hot water bush shower and outdoor bath. There is also a large permanent deep waterhole a short distance from this camping area.
We have temporarily paused out Hill camp sites, due to continuing property maintenance and improvements. The Hilltop on our place is a lovely spot to watch the sunset with a glass of your favorite beverage, and even if you are camped at Creekside, you are welcome to walk or drive up to hilltop. Just remember we are a working property, so leave gates as you find them.
Our property is an easy drive from wineries, large dams, Bunya Mountains, art galleries, state forests, mountain bike tracks, and scenic Kingaroy. We are dog friendly as long as dogs are not aggressive and well controlled.

I have access to the rail trail via private property, or otherwise you can utilise Staines Road to get into Benarkin State Forestry or the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.
Dogs are also welcome who are well behaved and on a leash if others have horses with them. Please note that you MUST ensure your dog has tick prevention prior to arrival. Bookings require pre approval please. This is non negotiable to prepare for your stay.
All welcome to visit and please enjoy a campsite that will only ever have 2 bookings at a time in the 1 acre camping area.

Nearby to Maidenwell’s Coomba Falls and a short drive to the Bunya Mountains with many kilometres of rainforest walks.
Local pub, cafe and dump point are a short drive away in Maidenwell.
Maidenwell pub does an amazing Pig on the Spit if you are there the last Saturday of the month and great Pizzas!
The Maidenwell Trading Post general store/cafe has an awesome vintage Western Clothing & Boots room!
We recommend taking a few carrots to tempt the ponies over for a pat.
WHO WE SUIT
Fully self-contained, 4wd and off-grid campers only. Caravans, camper trailers, tents - all welcome. You will need your own water, camp toilet and to take all rubbish with you - leave no trace. Dump points for toilet and rubbish are located in Maidenwell. You absolutely need a camp toilet to stay with us, we do not tolerate toilet paper being left in our paddocks where it's a safety risk to us and a choking hazard for our ponies, cattle/calves. Oh and you must love cattle, because you'll see them plenty!!
We keep things as close to mother nature as possible, we're not a tourist/caravan park on purpose and that's why our guests choose us! It's back to basics at its finest. Camping here was how we first fell in love with the beauty of our property and the sole reason we opened the opportunity to share it with a handful of others.
Private campsites - Only 3 campsites/groups on the entire property ensures a very private bush camping experience. All 3 sites are set well apart from each other.

Please read full descriptions of the 3 individual camp sites before booking as they all offer differing vehicle access requirements and views/settings.
You'll also need to read directional messages as they come through post-booking as there is no on-farm signage or lighting by design.
VEHICLE ACCESS
All sites are 4WD and off-road caravan access only (not suitable for 'soft' 4wd's).
Please do not book THE HILL campsite unless you are an experienced and competent offroad 4WDér, especially if you're towing a caravan.
LOWER VALLEY VIEW requires the least amount of 4WD experience to access.
CREEKSIDE also requires off-road experience to access if towing a caravan or camper.
Please note our original hipcamp and only all-wheel-drive site, Main Camp, is now permanently unavailable due private use.
FIRES
Stone Fire pits are available on all sites. Please practice safe fire management (we are currently in a drought-declared area after significantly lower rainfall this year). Firewood can be pre-ordered with notice as an extra add-on via the hip-camp app (no BYO firewood due biosecurity risk). No bonfires or unattended fires. No burning of rubbish in firepits and fires must be completely out upon departure. During hot, dry weather (upcoming 26/27 Summer) we may enforce a fire ban on our property (often at short notice) if we deem necessary for the safety of our livestock, please check with us first if a fire is a non-negotiable for you.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
We offer an earlier check-in time than most so you can make the most of your stay.

Late night check-ins aren't recommended to ensure the comfort of other campers already onsite and because it can be tricky to navigate the property in the dark.
IMPORTANT NOTES
You MUST have a self-contained toilet. NO BUSH TOILETS! We wouldn't go to the toilet in your backyard, so don't go in ours! Upon inspection, if you do not have a self-contained toilet you will be asked to leave the property immediately and no refund will be given.
We're a working cattle farm first and foremost, you'll see us out and about if we have cattle work or jobs to do.

We have 69 acres within the Barambah Wine Trail (which is located in Moffatdale, near Murgon, QLD). Our property backs onto the Bjelke Petersen Dam.
Our property offers direct access to Lake Barambah from your large grassy campsite. You can enjoy uninterrupted views of the lake while relaxing around your camp fire.
The lake itself is wide and deep, and safe for swimming (properly supervised) and all your favourite water activities.
There is also basic access to launch small boats.
Dusty Hill Wines is just down the road and offers local wine tasting and some great meals in their restaurant. There are also some other wineries in the area you can explore and enjoy.
If you want to get your heart rate up, we are 25 minutes from Kinombi Falls where you can enjoy a number of stairs to get to the top. The waterfall is often quite small but the surrounding area is beautiful and the stairs are a good workout.
PLEASE NOTE: We are only able to accept Fully Self-contained Vans, No tent or Swag Sites are available.
You will need to be fully self contained van as we have no showers or toilets available. Campers will need to take all waste with them on departure.

Do not walk past anywhere near my house. Do not approach or hang over my fence looking in, and definitely do not enter my house yard, as I have guard dogs.
Absolutely no drones!
Absolutely No patting, encouraging and especially feeding horses. Do not approach horses in the paddock, do not walk or ride bicycles anywhere near the horses. I tell everyone this, but still people can’t help themselves to break these rules. It has taken me a long time to stop horses walking into camp and unfortunately one hipcamper undoes all of my efforts.
The creek is my boundary so no crossing it, as this is trespassing into my neighbours property.
There is no wifi or phone service.
You are coming to an isolated tranquil property away from it for a reason.

Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. There is also no charge or fee to use the court. On most Sundays afternoons (weather permitting), we have social tennis where everyone is welcome to join in.
The old school toilet blocks have the addition of hot showers and all toilet facilities are the flushing type.
Campfires are permitted and there are small mobile fire pits provided so wherever you set up camp you can have your campfire right beside you.
Note: There are no ground fires permitted and at certain times of the year Qld Rural Fire brigade may enforce a total fire ban.
We have our “Caffeine Injection” kiosk on-site for the weekends and school holidays. Get your morning caffeine fix as well as bagged ice, firewood, ice creams, snacks, cold drinks etc etc
Then we have the old school principals residence aka “The Bush Holiday House“. It is fully self-contained and all linen is provided.

There is partial shade and relatively level area to camp. Great bird watching, spot a platypus if you are lucky.

Lots to do nearby- horse riding at Cowboy Up, drive up to the Bunyas with a couple of national parks close by.
Crows Nest is fast becoming a town not to be missed with the renovation of the Nolan Store, Crows Nest Cordials factory, visit the Valley of Diamonds.
There are no facilities here, campers will need to BYO camp toilet and leave no trace.
Pets permitted, but please be respectful with pets as we have cattle and horses on the property and neighbours property.

Unpowered sites for a true camping experience. Drive through camping sites for Caravans, Campers, RVs and tents are easily accessed by a short drive through the paddock, all year round. Stop overs welcome or stay a few nights to take in what the area has to offer.
Guests are required to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure.
Take advantage of camping near the large farm dam, abundant with wildlife. Sit back and relax beside calming effect of the water or take in the lifestyle of small acre farming. Animals on the property include cattle, sheep, pigs, poultry and horses. Pets are welcome however must remain respectful to livestock and other pets.

Featuring Muntapa Tunnel, a single bore man made Tunnel for trainline to cross the great deviding range. Campers can enjoy a 1.5km walk along the old Cooyar trainline to the eastern entrance of the tunnel, where you can follow the path to public BBQ and toilet facilities, vehicle access available by public road as well.

Cliny the host was very nice and informative. Great views. Amazing amount of bird life. In close proximity to Blackbutt, Murgon and Manyung. Went to the 3 winery's that were close. Best value for wine and taste was Moffatdale ridge then Clovely estate. The working farm was in action with all the backpackers and animals. Dog friendly which is a must for us.

This was a lovely quiet spot with beautiful views and close proximity to the lake. It’s a very tidy campsite and well looked after. Clint was friendly and approachable. We would recommend this campsite for a quiet few days of rest, water activities and nearby wineries to visit.

Beautiful property, plenty of space, very peaceful & relaxing. Lots of spots for a fire. Great sunset spot.
Clint was really welcoming and we were stoked to be able to watch some bull riding practice.
We rode our bikes to Nuova Scoula winery, very friendly owners and would recommend the wines there. Will definitely come back in the warmer months & get on the water.

We loved the location being very close to several very good wineries offering lovely food and friendly service. Our site was water front with great views of Lake Barambah and the many bird species that live on the lake. Spacious site, mown and grassed. Easy to find, very good road in. Clint was friendly and welcoming, we loved seeing his horses, long horn cows, chickens and guinea fowl. We will visit again with family. 10/10
