4 m campervan · With pets · We camped at Misty Mountain over the weekend and had an amazing stay. As we arrived after dark, we didn't get to see much of the property that first night. Beck greeted us on arrival, showed us to our campsite, and we settled in for the evening. Having power and water nearby was a great convenience. The property had many lush paddocks where our two energetic dogs were able to run off-leash, and they absolutely loved having so much space to burn off their energy. Craig kindly gave us a tour of the property and explained the many ways they are working towards becoming as self-sufficient as possible. It's clear that an incredible amount of hard work has gone into creating and maintaining such a beautiful place. The orchard and greenhouse are full of fresh produce, including tangelos, lemons, mandarins, limes, and even avocados to name only a few. Craig and Beck generously encouraged us to enjoy the fruit straight from the orchard and even take some home. We camped beside the macadamia trees, which were loaded with fresh nuts. They came off the trees easily, and once again, Craig and Beck were more than happy for us to take some home to ripen. Their hospitality was outstanding throughout our stay. Craig even helped me move some blocks to improve our campfire setup and generously shared some of his stash of firewood. The property also features beautifully maintained gardens and is home to both native and European bees. Many Thanks from Tane and Gabriella and our pups Poppy and Koda
