We loved our stay at Maple Acres. It was incredibly quiet and peaceful, tucked away amongst the macadamia trees, a great place to switch off and relax.
The undercover chiminea area were a really nice touch, especially knowing we could still sit around the fire and enjoy the evening if the weather changed. We also really enjoyed wandering around and checking out the orchard.
The hosts were super friendly, welcoming and accommodating, which made the stay even better. A beautiful, peaceful spot and somewhere we’d happily stay again.

What a great place to stay for a few days, easy access for caravans and power and water if needed is accessible.
Craig and Bec are great hosts and are very welcoming.
Maple acres has a macadamia nut orchard and a fruit orchard and the sites are close to both, Craig and Bec even let us pick a few nuts and some citrus fruit.
Only a two minute drive into town and Yarraman has everything there that you need.
Actually I would say that Maple Acres would most probably be depending on what way that you look at it either the first or last Hipcamp on the New England Highway which runs from Yarraman in QLD to basically Newcastle in NSW

Maple Acres
We loved camping out in our caravan at Maple Acres. It was absolutely perfect for us and our little dog. Craig and Bec were wonderful and friendly hosts. Very knowledgable about the local area. We visted the pine forest at the end of Talong Yarraman Road and explored the many dirt roads inside the forest. Locating the absolutely stunning and huge old Jacarandah trees in Roger Park. It was the home site of Lewis Roger local forrester, and his family. Thats a must visit area. Maidenwell natural swimming hole and waterfall was also well worth a visit. Maple Acres has a fabulous orchard and macadamia trees, we sampled the lovely fruit after the encouragement of the hosts. We loved the bag of macadamis nuts Craig bought over to us during the stay. I had fun cracking them with the loaned nut cracker. We had access to a hose which supplied rainwater that was completely drinkable and 15amp electricity. If you like being the only camper on the property, stars that shine for miles, peace and quiet of the country this is your next stay for sure. Excellent experience that we will definately return to 🙂

Maple Acres
We camped at Misty Mountain over the weekend and had an amazing stay. As we arrived after dark, we didn't get to see much of the property that first night. Beck greeted us on arrival, showed us to our campsite, and we settled in for the evening. Having power and water nearby was a great convenience. The property had many lush paddocks where our two energetic dogs were able to run off-leash, and they absolutely loved having so much space to burn off their energy. Craig kindly gave us a tour of the property and explained the many ways they are working towards becoming as self-sufficient as possible. It's clear that an incredible amount of hard work has gone into creating and maintaining such a beautiful place. The orchard and greenhouse are full of fresh produce, including tangelos, lemons, mandarins, limes, and even avocados to name only a few. Craig and Beck generously encouraged us to enjoy the fruit straight from the orchard and even take some home. We camped beside the macadamia trees, which were loaded with fresh nuts. They came off the trees easily, and once again, Craig and Beck were more than happy for us to take some home to ripen. Their hospitality was outstanding throughout our stay. Craig even helped me move some blocks to improve our campfire setup and generously shared some of his stash of firewood.The property also features beautifully maintained gardens and is home to both native and European bees. We had a great stay, Bec and Craig were super friendly hosts. The paddock for the dog to run around was great. Water and power was easily accessible. We went home with some fruit from the orchard and some macadamias to crack! Definitely recommend.

Craig and Rebecca are amazing hosts. Beautiful land, power, very strong WiFi, water, campfire area make the stay very easy and pleasant. Located a minute from a forest, where we enjoyed offroading a little. 3 minutes from Yarraman, but far enough from everyone. We'll see you next week and thank you for a great weekend!

Genuine fruit and macadamia nut tree farm experience. Very well priced. Generous hosts allow fruit and nut picking. Two sites, relatively flat. Fenced dog paddock. Not enough superlatives to describe hosts Craig and Bec's friendliness in welcoming us to their home paddock. Undercover firepit and timber included!!!
