Great Spot next to the dam, easy to find. Easy drive to Cooyar for the pub.
Amazing to find a place that there’s only 1 site so no other campers.
Only downfall is there’s a property dog that roams around (she is very friendly and only came to visit twice) but if you have unsocialised dogs it can get stressful.. We just kept an eye out and put our dogs in the car if she came close.

Peaceful and private location camping on the bank of the property dam with a couple of fire pits for those chilly nights. Perfect location if you would like the site to yourselves. Bunya Mountain and Maidenwell 30-40 min away. Site access may be impacted by rain…..check with host before heading out. Perfect for us.

Lovely place to sit back and relax. The campsite by the dam is nice, clear and level, plenty of room for any size vehicle. The directions are easy to follow to access the campsite.
We had a very relaxing Easter weekend. The walk through to the Muntapa Tunnel was a highlight of our weekend.

Lovely spot by the dam, with ducks (and other small birds). It is not that far from tourist attractions. We enjoyed exploring the country roads and small towns. Beck is very knowledgeable about the area.
A little road noise but not too bothersome. Appreciated the eggs and bacon (thanks 💙), after their stock protection dog stole my chicken... sneaky girl.

My family loved this campsite! We had such a peaceful time staying here by the dam, there’s plenty of firewood for the provided fire pits and the owners dog Mia is gorgeous. Didn’t want to leave at all!!!

Great little quiet and private spot, perfect for the weekend and a great base to explore from: The Bunya Mountains, Cooyar, Palms National Park, Coomba Falls and Muntapa Tunnel.
Camping is on a nice flat spot next to the dam, with a couple of fire pits and plenty of fire wood to be found. The owners dog Mia is really sweet too :)

Spent 4 nights. Great little spot over looking the dam. The site is exclusive, you have the place to yourself. Directions easy to follow. Perfect base to be able to explore the area.

The dam was so picturesque, the cows visited from time to time, heaps of bird life and it was always lovely to have a visit from Mia and Ace, the best of guard dogs!
Easy access into the property and a super location to visit the Bunya Mountains and Crows Nest! The absolute highlight for us though was walking to the Muntapa Tunnel, wonderful to see this piece of history!
If we are in the area again we will be sure to stay again!

Lovely property and easy going host. However, given the title of the camp we were a little disappointed when we arrived as the only dam side camp was already occupied and we camped further away in the paddock. No issue for an overnighter but not the expectation based on the listing. The alternate camp spot/s would do well to be listed and perhaps photos of the additional sites for clarity.

Lovely spot by the dam. So peaceful. Loved the welcoming party 🐕🐶 We went on the walk to the Muntappa Tunnel, accompanied by the two dogs who showed us the way. It was an easy walk along the old rail trail and very interesting.

Great little spot about 14 clicks south of Cooyar, just off the road. Had the place all to myself on a Saturday afternoon and night, so was able to grab the prime spot overlooking the dam. Nice and private, nice and quiet. Heaps of well trimmed flat space around. It's a working cattle farm and curious cows will come down to drink from the dam. It also means there are a few flies around - but they didn't bother me too much. If you are more sensitive/perturbed by flies - make sure your gazebo has some mesh walls to keep them out ;) The dam would be ideal for some swimming and/or Stand Up Paddle Boards.
Also a great spot (cheap) if you need a place to overnight while on a longer trip.

Had a great weekend and in a lovely spot. we camped right next to the Dam having the water views when we wake in the morning. If you forget anything the shops are not far depending on the way you need to go. My shower broke and had to do a run into Toowoomba and took 50 minutes. My dog also loved it as she has never seen cattle before and she was amazing. A long weekend at this site was really good and will visit again.

We had the camp to ourselves. It's a great spot to relax for the night overlooking the dam and the rolling hills. Easy to understand instructions for arrival, well maintained campsite with a great firepit. We visited the Tunnel afterwards which is a short drive away.

Nice flat area down near the dam. A few cows, horses, birds and a great dog to provide company. Hosts were great and very friendly. Fire pits in place and firewood available for purchase. The old railway tunnel literally up the road is an interesting piece of history.

Was a great stay on this lovely farm next to the dam, had the place all to ourselves apart from the owners adorable dog who kept us company and got plenty of pats. Super friendly owners and a great spot for a quiet getaway without being crowded by other campers.

A picturesque camp by a large dam with Flat spacious sites. A lovely walk following the old railway line to Muntapa Tunnel. Wonderful friendly hosts. Working property with cattle and sheep. You may hear the pleasant sound of dingos howling in the distance during the evening. Rest assured you will experience tranquility plus.

We spent a relaxing 5 nights over Easter. Beck was a fantastic host, so friendly and accommodating she gave us great recommendations for local sites to visit including a lovely walk on the old railway line on their property to a railway tunnel. We had a lovely flat grasses site facing the dam which included a fire pit.
