162 Acres of mixed farming land, including cultivation, grazing and bushland. Unpowered sites for a true camping experience. Drive through camping sites for Caravans, Campers, RVs and tents are easily accessed by a short drive through the paddock, all year round. Stop overs welcome or stay a few nights to take in what the area has to offer. Guests are required to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Take advantage of camping near the large farm dam, abundant with wildlife. Sit back and relax beside calming effect of the water or take in the lifestyle of small acre farming. Animals on the property include cattle, sheep, pigs, poultry and horses. Pets are welcome however must remain respectful to livestock and other pets. See a working windmill pump water for domestic use, and see how gravity aids in supplying stored water. Featuring Muntapa Tunnel, a single bore man made Tunnel for trainline to cross the great deviding range. Campers can enjoy a 1.5km walk along the old Cooyar trainline to the eastern entrance of the tunnel, where you can follow the path to public BBQ and toilet facilities, vehicle access available by public road as well.Bowriver Camp offers a beautiful dam side campsite with plenty of space to set up your camp. Please contact us for groups. The property is located amongst the slopes of the great dividing range. Guests are required to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure.  Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided, it is the perfect way to relax and watch the sun go down after a day of exploring. There are plenty of birdwatching opportunities or you might like to enjoy the walking track on the old train line to Muntapa Tunnel. You can also bring your kayak and enjoy a paddle on the dam.  Other attractions in the surrounding area include Bunya Mountains National Park, Cooyar Swinging Bridge, The Palms National Park and Coomba Falls. Pets are welcome, please keep them on a leash and clean up after them whilst on the property. Please note there is a free roaming livestock guardian dog on the property to protect livestock from Dingos. Her name is Mia and she will visit. A stern "No" should be sufficient if she is invading your personal space.
